Well, now I can actually stop just talking about vaping, and actually do it (once my battery charges)!

My 901 from Litecig arrived today. It was shipped either Saturday or Monday, so the ship time was good.

The unit came very neatly packaged, and I also received an additional 5 cartridges.

I immediately took everything out, cleaned their connections and placed a battery on the charger. Now, I'm at work, with the battery charging in my office.

I DID, however, order the 901b (black), but I received a 901 (white). I really don't view this as much of a problem. I don't necessarily value one color over another. I think the analog-style color scheme actually makes it more intriguing to smokers.

My boss has already come in to look at it, as well as ask me a ton of questions.

I sent her a few links to some of Leaford's and Scott's reviews, just so she could see the e-cig in action, and I think she's hooked.

She said she wants to see what I think of my experience, and then she's ordering one. lol

Congrats, D! (Can I call you D?) If you change your mind about the color, don't worry, you'll have to do warranty exchanges sooner or later. When you do take the opportunity to request the other color. Voila! :D

Be sure to let us know how you get on with it.

BTW, did you use my coupon?

D is fine. Short for David! "Mr. Struct" is too impersonal, you know?

I'll plan on picking up another starter set, but black this time. As pieces of this one wear out, I'll just slowly go all black.

Thanks for all the information and encouragement. It's greatly appreciated!

I'll definitely write up a review of my experience with the 901. As I have been telling everyone else, maybe someone will read MY review and decide to drop the analogs.

I could be like a super hero! Saving people from lung cancer, premature aging, and generally spreading my badassedness all over the internet! *pokes out chest*

And, yes, I used your coupon!

I know what you mean. That's my favorite thing to hear, that I helped someone make that choice. :)

Cool. I just ask because I just wasn't sure if anyone was using them, or if I would have heard if they had or what. I'm still new at that. I guess I could have asked Steve about that at some point, Huh?:D

Just wanted to give a fairly brief summation of my first 24 hours or so w/ my 901:

I received my 901 when I went home for lunch yesterday, and, upon entering my house, I hurriedly busted into the box, anxiously opening the clean, blue and white e-cigarette box.

My immediate attention, of course, went to the fact that I had received a white 901 instead of the black 901 that I had ordered (mentioned that above). That really wasn't a big concern of mine, at all.

I immediately unboxed all of the components, and promptly started charging the first battery. The construction on the charger was a bit more substantial than I first thought, so I was pleased with all of my gear seemed to be operational.

I was patient with the charging battery. I brought it to work, continuing to charge it in my office and ignoring the charger's green light that appeared merely an hour into its charging.

Before leaving work and heading to Houston to pick up my fiancé for the airport, I decided that 7 hours of initial charging would have to do for this first battery. I had to make a two-hour drive, and I wanted to start the experiment that was my first evening of vaping. I loaded a medium-strength cartridge, packed all my gear and got on the road.

The first few puffs weren't too telling, as they were mostly spent trying to gauge the pull and puffing style needed to get a decent amount of vapor. I could taste the flavor of the juice, and, I must say, I wasn't too pleased to start. I can only describe it as something between a cashed pipe and smoke machine fog. It was rather jarring, but, from reading the forums and hearing people's descriptions of the initial adjustment period, I wasn't too dismayed.

As I'm driving down the road, vaping intermittently and starting to get used to the taste, I started to get a serious headache. I took a pause with the vaping, rolled down the window, cranked up some Anything Box and attempted to recover with the assistance of the rush of cool air. Yeah, I listen to 80s synthpop! What of it? :p

I slowly started to feel a little better, and, for the sake of sparing myself another headache, I switched to a lower strength cartridge. I was pretty freaked out, and hoped the sensation I had felt was merely an aberration, maybe a combination of nerves, excitement over my new toy, and exhilaration from being on the way to pick up the love of my life.

I took it easy on the low cart, really trying to pace myself, and adjust to the new medium of nicotine introduction, and the headache finally passed.

I didn't vape any on the way back, as my fiancé is a non-smoker. She's happy about me giving e-cigs a shot, but I didn't want to test my luck w/ her patience and penchant for the odor of vapor.

Unloading the car, I took a few abbreviated drags, actually getting a really clean and enjoyable taste. I only hoped that was a sign of things to come.

Since my little experiment with e-cigs began, I've only smoked 2 Ultra Lights (I smoked a pack a day, usually). I had to have one this morning, but I've been taking breaks to vape only.

I even switched to a high strength cartridge, just to see if the refills were similar to the first one I tried.

I've actually found that I'm enjoying the taste a lot more this morning, and, even with the high 18mg cart, I haven't felt a twinge of headache or any other signs that I'm ODing.

I can't wait for my CaSH Cola and other juices to arrive!

All in all, the 901 has really produced a remarkable amount of vapor, the construction is solid, and the cartridge life has been great for me, thus far.

I'll keep everyone posted as things progress!

Wait.... That wasn't brief!!

Great, D! And that's totally normal, to overdo it at first. Unlike an analog cig, there's no "end" every 5 to 10 minutes. SO you tend to keep going and going. Like chain smoking, but worse.

Yeah. If I hadn't been paying attention to the board about the effects of overdoing it, I might've gotten a shade freaked out, but it passed, and I haven't had a return visit, just yet.

One complain I have:

The model I received is a one-hole atomizer, and I really feel like the draw is fairly considerable.

I know they make multi-hole atomizers, but do they make a considerable difference?

i have had muti hole and the draw is like breathing air with 4 holes and a little easier with a 2 hole at least to me my 901 is a one hole and i love it

Thanks for the input.

Yeah. I want there to be resistance, but I was just wondering how slippery the slope was when going to multiple holes.

It might just be a matter of me adjusting to it.

The first flavour you would've tasted would have been the primer fluid in the atomiser. That's not a nice taste. Once you've puffed through that then you start to get the flavour of the liquid in the cartridge which is substantially better.

Once you start with other liquids though you should really begin to enjoy the flavour of the vapour.

Welcome to e-smoking. :)

Thanks for all the tips and encouragement, everyone!

Just an update:

I'm really enjoying the CaSH Cola liquid from Puresmoker. It's light enough without overpowering, but it's got a great, smooth flavor. I haven't gone back to the Virginia flavored cartridges, yet, so I don't have much in the way of contrast from one to the other, but I think it's a ringing endorsement given that I haven't felt the need to switch back, yet.

I DID, however, have one of my batteries crap out on me on the 2nd day. I had charged it for the recommended times, and, after it sitting one night, I screwed it on to start the day, and it didn't do anything. No lights. Nothing.

I contacted Shawn w/ Litecig via email yesterday, regarding the busted battery and also to say I was going to pick up another 901 kit for parts. Not only did he email me back within about 5 minutes (awesome), but he gave me the total for the new items and a bottle of the Camel Turkish liquid. He said he'd take care of the shipping cost, and send me out my new items and my replacement battery first thing today.

I can't say how happy I was to get the quick response and courtesy from him.

If you treat me right, I'll keep coming back. He took steps today to make sure I stay with him as a customer!

D,
You should get your variety of other liquids that I sent you today... let me know if you don't. I sent the cash cola in addition to the others I wasn't able to use because of the PG allergy. Hope you like them!

Thank you so much for sending the cola, also! You didn't have to do that!

I really appreciate you send those out. I wish the post office was running today (President's Day). I'll probably get them tomorrow.

Can't wait!
