My roomate has been vapeing for a while and i always enjoyed a pull on his pv now and then but I really was committed to my cigarette habit. I was not a heavy smoker but definitely a smoker. I started smoking at the age of 15 and by the time i was 33, I smoked about 2 packs in 3 days on average. One night my roomate came home with a Provari and flat out gave me his old eGo setup. Said he's "moving on to greener pastures." I used that eGo nightly because i didnt have to go outside to enjoy it, but didnt really consider stopping cigarettes either untill one night I ran out of cigarettes and didnt have money to go get more, so i vaped instead. me, being the great procrastinator that i am, was able to gather enough change to get a pack of smokes, but neglected to do so because my vape had me pacified well enough to keep saying "ill go get smokes later." well eventually that day was over and i woke up the next morning and reached for my vape. That was the moment it dawned on me... I had gone a whole day without a cigarette!! I was astounded and decided to see how far I could take it.. It has now been 12 weeks. Monday will be 13 weeks... I remember after a couple weeks somebody gave me a cigarette and i lit it up and took a puff and was like BLECH! it tasted horrible!! I'm so glad to be off cigarettes.. the craziest thing i've noticed now is that my clothes smell like laundary! i was actually lying on the couch watching a movie one night and was like.. whats that smell? when i noticed it was my shirt!! haha I couldnt believe that my shirt smelling of clean laundry could catch me so off guard but i really couldnt believe it.. but that was it. that sealed the deal.. by quitting cigarettes and vapeing instead, I think I look cooler, smell better, and have more money in my pocket. done and DONE.

Love your story!
Mine was similar in that I quit by accident.
I bought a kit from a smoke shop just out of curiosity and here I am today, almost one year later smoke free.
(I've moved on from the cheapo one)
The one thing that I remember doing was that I never denied myself a cig. I think that had a lot to do with my success.
I never threw my smokes out and told myself "if you want one, have one" because I believe had I told myself not to have one, my rebellion would have won over.
lol
I still have that pack of unfinished smokes on my shelf with my quit date written on it as a reminder.
Congrats on your ability to quit and happy vaping....! :)

Hey mikepointfive... You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland (ECF), and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Congrats and welcome to the rabbit hole...

Hey, you talking about MY HOUSE?

Welcome aboard Mike. If you get down in my house (The wabbit hole) you will not save any money, but you will enjoy vaping. I think this becomes more of a hobby as you get more involved. Best Wishes on your journey.

Thank you everybody.. Its been about 20 weeks now and Im still in the pink cloud phase!!! I cant quit preaching the gospel of vape to every smoker friend i have.. I've become a regular @ my local B&M, and now people are asking me for advice(or more often just do it for me) on how to rebuild their atomizers or mod something or another.. I'm really excited to be off cigarettes after almost 20 years! I think my excitement has overflowed into vaping because now its all i ever think about.. im up till all hours watching youtube videos, reviews, tutorials, and of course here @ ECF... I'm even looking for work in the e-cig industry and have been communicating with Innokin to be a sales rep!
