So I got one of the freebie batteries less than a week ago. Put a fresh new carto on it the next day, did some errands, and lost the battery by the time I got back home. Yesterday I go out for drinks, and dunk another one of my batteries into a glass of pineapple vodka by accident and killed the battery :(.

Sorry for your troubles, Scratchy. I still think e cigs is way more fiddley than smoking but....I really cannot continue to smoke. It is starting to affect my health and my mental peace of mind. There are people all over this little town on oxygen tanks from smoking. I really don't want to end up being one of them.

E cigs is definitely the best I have ever done on cutting down on cigs and I think I really can quit if I hang in there.

The lanyard has helped me in the yard. Know how you feel about the batteries. I had one X2 die and one 78mm. I had bought another X2 but then when the 78mm died I panicked and bought another X-2 900 and 2 more 78mm. I am hoping to be smoke free by the end of my vacation but that is all dependent upon the batteries actually working while I am camping!!!!!!

If something happens go for a disposable first at a gas station or drug store if there's something nearby. Not the best choice but it kept me hanging in there when I didn't have enough stocked up yet and the mailman wasn't coming for another day. I had gone a couple weeks without a cigarette and I figured why go back now. So I plopped down the $10 for a Blu (Walgreens has Blu's for sure) and it lasted me til my shipment came.

Knock on wood I haven't killed one yet but while standing alone in my office doing my happy dance after I got a big job offer today I let it fly from my hand, ended up on my hands and knees fishing it and my CE3 which had popped apart out from under a shelf full of files from the last 5 years.... coudn't find the diamond end tip and growled softly as I picked up the phone and paged maintenance... they moved the whole shelf for me and laughed as I plucked the ti up of the ground and carefully reassembled everything and kept dancing... all the while loooking at me like I'm a loon... but I'll be danged if they get any bit of my goodies left here .... mwahahaha cleaning my desk off as I type this making notes and writing my resignation letter...

So sorry to hear about your batts. I had 5 78's until last night..Could not find 1 of the batts . Knew it was in the house until hubby found it in the dog bed with my dog sleeping acting like she had done nothing wrong. She decided the batt would look better if you chewed off the pretty tip. Needless to say that batt got trashed...

Congrats! And diamond end caps are important! I'm glad you were able to retrieve it.
