my battery broke!

I had just taken my 650MaH battery off the charger and it broke in two! Now normally I would just throw it away. I could see the top of the battery with a red & black wires. Just now I checked it again & the button when pushed still glow blue! The 5 click technology is stillworking so my question is-can I still use it? too bad I can't attach a photo of it. It is silver with skeletons etched in up & down rows all over. My fav and I only bought it like 6 weeks ago.

My original Tsunami did the same thing. If it is just the 510 connector, you should just be able to push it back in the top. They are all pressed into the top. If the wire came off the top, grab your soldering iron and re-solder it back on there and you should be good to go.

I do not advise trying to fix a broken eGo battery unless you already have experience doing such a thing.

If you do something wrong, you could create an electrical short which could cause the lithium ion battery to vent flames and possibly explode. It's not worth risking a severe burn or a fire just for a $25 battery.

^^ This is good advice. I wouldn't recommend messing with it. Throw it away and get a new one / use your backup.

I have had a couple of egos where the connector/button section came off. The wires were still connected and it still worked. Just pushed it back on and it was fine.

Please - get rid of it. A new one won't cost much and you'll be glad when your house hasn't burnt to the ground.

Don't mess with it. Get a new one. I just chucked 2 of my old ones that did the same thing. Not worth the trouble or risk.
