Good! If you'd said it was USB I would have said "you're fried"! But the battery should be thrown I suspect you did that, if you have a good battery put it in. If nothing happens at first kinda plunk the Stick on a hard surface. Hopefully you'll get the red light to flash a couple times, wait a second and then try the button for blue! If nothing still happens, use the usb and hold your breath that something happens, if you've got power then it could be your charger wasn't working properly as well. Throw that away as well!
I bought an extra couple of those (by accident, but later thought it might be a good thing). Sometimes those batteries though can be flawed, and cause kind of a chain reaction. They can actually explode, sometimes multiple times. If you've never seen it, will surprise you how powerful and dangerous it could be. I lost a Nikon D-70 from a defective battery, tremendous heat.
Could have shorted the charger because of the battery or vice-versa....... I was kinda long getting back here so am hoping you're back in business........just a word about the USB charger...I won't ever use mine, just wouldn't do it. If anything you can get a wall-usb adapter plug for charging....will look for a link, there's one around here somewhere. If something should happen you wouldn't fry your PC as well. Yah, I know, that isn't supposed to happen..
NOTE: I can't see anymore, geez I didn't realize how much crap there is on the Janty stickey, but anyway read your PM

I had a RN4075 ( one of the 901 compatibles) battery do that last week. It was about 2 months old.
Went to use it and it blinked like crazy and got super hot, hot, hot.... Ran and tossed it outside in the grass real quick just in case. It had been charged the day before and used for like 1 hr, then unscrewed from atty for the night. This happened first attempted puff the next morning.
It didn't explode but seriously made me nervous. Deader than a doornail after that.
I'm very mindful of my batt's now. Keep an eye on them charging and even when using them.
Wonder if it was just because it got old?

Super autoclean cycle... cleaned itself into nonworking lol :p
Well, that has been often critizised, maybe the reason my newer DSE103 batteries haven't got a autocleaning cycle implemented anymore.

The heater wire is leaded with standard electronic parts lead to the anode and may go off at cleaning glow temperatures... I had to repair one.
