My beaded tube/lanyard and some "decorated" cartos

I clearly have too much time on my hands! This will be a lanyard once I decide on the "chain", but I like it as a holder.

If anyone wanted to try similar beading, look up "tubular right angle weave". You will find plenty of instructions.

Great lanyard and cartos! I'm still trying to decide on a decorating scheme for my PV's. We sure do love our gadgets here, don't we?

For the cartos, used some adhesive-backed fabric, holographic sticker sheets, and decorative paper that I ran through the Xyron...all things that I had laying around the "craft room". Been avidly looking through all the ideas here and excited to try some of yours as well as some others I have.

The beading is also called "peyote stitch." lots of instructions online under that name.


edit: oops, I was wrong. "peyote stitch" is a different stitch, but it looks the same.
