Sorry if this shouldn't be here as it isn't e-cig related, but definitely is related to the true spirit of PIF. I'm still in shock, but look what I did:

It meant a lot to me to do that, I never have before. Never gave blood until last week either, but it gives you a good feeling. My mom needed 4 units when her surgery didn't take. I have 2 friends battling breast cancer, and my mom is bald. No medical known reason, just all fell out in her teens. It was my biggest fear in my teens, and twenties that mine would fall out too. The past few years it's been thinning, and the past few months the thinning has dramatically accelerated so I figured I'd better do it now.

Didn't really plan it out too well....I can't go get it...evened up until I get paid Thursday. Right now I feel like I look a little like I should be under a bridge with a shopping cart :)

Bravo !!!! What a wonderful selfless act !! I like the pic of you with the shorter hair. It looks like you could really rock an A-Line cut. Channeling Victoria Beckham are ya ?

I have had both long and short hair, I find I am far SASSIER with short hair. Good for me....not so good for husband and loved ones !

That is awesome Lynlee, my daughter donated her locks when she finally agreed to cut her hair that was almost to her waist this past summer. I was so glad to see it go! I had tried to get her to cut it for a while but no go. My adult son's gf finally got her to do it by taking her to her stylist and it went. It looks so cute now!!!!

That's where it's going~! Locks of Love is great, but a big part of it is kids donating to kids. Pantene uses the hair to make wigs for more adult cancer patients, and as I know 2 ppl battling breast cancer right now, and my mom being a cancer survivor I made the descision that Pantene was the way to go. A big plus was they only needed 8 inches opposed to 10 for locks of love. Irrelevant though since when the time came I just said take it all~! Almost 16 inches hacked off.

Another place that's great to donate hair to is Pantene. They use the hair for women who have lost their hair to cancer treatments. My sweetie donated some of his hair to them last year.

you only need 8 inches to donate. measure 8 inches up from the bottom of your hair and you'd see that it would still be really long, and what you cut off would grow back in a year or less:)

And it makes you feel really good inside:)

I have waist length hair. I think about cutting it, but chicken out every time. I have had it long for so many years, I think I would freak out!

You're such a beautiful person :)

with a baaaad haircut, lol

J/K, thank you all, I feel really good about doing it. I'm thinking I'm going to donate blood every chance I have and donate my hair again when it's long enough, provided it doesn't all fall out~!

Wow, am I the only guy who has done this? I've donated a couple feet a couple times, I figure what the heck, it'll grow back!:)

I did it once a long time ago. I was just getting my long hair cut off and they asked if I wanted to donate it. I still feel sorry for the poor kid that got my nappy hair.

Great job Lynlee!
