With all these different options. I've been searching for days and their are just so many gd variations of the same thing and I can't choose.

I've been eyeing the Joye ego-c. But I came across this..

eGo C 650mAh Battery Starter kit

that seems to be a generic version of it. Is it any good? I can get the above kit w/case, extra carts, and 3 30ml liquids for exactly 90 shipped.

Forgive me but my brain has had enough and just wants to give up. The E-Cig world is much larger than first thought. :)

I 'd like to stay under a 100 for a starter kit and some liquids/accessories.

Right? My head spun when I first started checking out the options! Anyway,,,,, if you're looking for something with a battery that will last you long term, when looking at the mAh (ie: the one you linked was 650 and 1100 mAh), keep in mind that for every 100 mAh, you get approximately 1 hour of vaping. I can't tell you if it's authentic or not, it looks like it is but I'm not an Ego expert. I do also know though that if a battery fails, you have to buy another one and that is something to consider.

I had a hard time trying to figure out what my vape needs would be so I ended up ordering something that I felt could be adjusted for whatever would suit me. Vamo was my choice but it is NOT the only choice out there nor is it the one size fits all. The best thing to do is to decide, does size matter?, how much vaping time do you want before having to switch or charge batteries? do you want something that looks more in line with an analog or do looks matter? how durable, is it something that could maybe fit you for a while or is it something you just want to use to test the waters and intend to upgrade?.... I know lots of considerations but this is the absolute best place to find the information and I'm sure you'll benefit greatly in your research with this as a resource. Welcome!

I'm upgrading to an eGo from an 808 setup. From what I understand, all the eGo batteries are interchangeable with the C and T accessories, etc. I decided to order this:

eGo 650mAh w/ CE4 Clearomizer Blister Pack Starter Kit - MyFreedomSmokes.com

Using this as the base, I've pieced together my own kit by ordering individual accessories to see which I like better. Atomizers, drip tips, clearomizers, and cartomizers... Along with a wall adapter. I also picked up a passthrough.

Now I will wait patiently for the mail to arrive. I read on this forum that its best to avoid generics. While some can be good, others are crap. If you do go generic, make sure it's a reputable brand.

If you're just looking for a low cost starter kit you gotta see this: eGo 650mAh w/ CE4 Clearomizer Blister Pack Starter Kit - MyFreedomSmokes.com

Yeah it's a knock off but they work great. I've given this kit to three people so far and they work just fine.

You could get two of those kits, a few extra clearo's or cartos and a few bottles of juice for way less than $90 ;)

edit- LaWatusi beat me to it, same kit she linked.

i agree with candik, there are alot of things to consider before purchasing. I ended up going with the Vamo because of the different opportunities it offers such as 18650 mode and 18350 mode. It can be changed from variable voltage to variable wattage. It can read the resistance of the atty u put on top. Also you can order the kit from vaporbreak.com that comes with 2 18350 batteries, a charger, and the vamo for 33$. Just something to think about.

Personally I would recommend a vision spinner, it's 1300mah and will last you all day "charge it at night when sleeping". I would also go with either a Vivi nova or Kanger Protank. Don't forget the charger for the battery. One you have your Battery and tank picked out with charger. You will have roughly $40-$50 leftover for juice. Check out MyVaporStore.com. They have great prices and awesome shipping/customer service. For your juice I think it's personal preference but I order from ECblends or Mount Baker Vapor. Good prices for 50ml bottles and you can customize everything from pg/vg to nic levels and extra flavor shots. Plus they send you a sample with your order as well.

Welcome to ECF and happy vaping!

Ideally I'd like something more along the lines of an analog, but i also want something that holds 1ml+ and has a good sized battery that I won't have to charge everyday. 1000mah's would be great but i'd look funny as hckl puffing a wand while at a stoplight.

I was checking out the Ecabs (More analogish) too. They hold 1.2ml, have the removable atom's like the ego-c's but the batteries are on the smaller side, they're are super cheap though and could have a dozen on hand.

I don't plan on sitting around when I get home from work and vaping till I go to bed. I'm going to try and keep the same pattern I have going on now which is about 7-10 cigs per day. I do not smoke in the house so I want to try and vape outside to keep my routine in check. The last thing I want to do is increase my nicotine habit by "smoking" it all the time.

Here is my 2 cents. I started with a joytech 510 starter kit...liked it but wanted something that would last all day so I wouldn't have to carry a charger and/or the 2nd battery, that came in the starter kit, with me all the time. I knew that I was into the vaping thing but like you my head was mush becaise of ALL of the options and I didn't really know how much more I wanted to spend at the moment. Long story short I ended up getting a ego-c passthrough 1000mah with a mt3, which I LOVE, and a ce4 wich I hate(too airy of a draw for me). I have only had to charge it ONCE in a week!! Anyway super happy with my purchase so IMO I think your going in the right direction but Im a newbie and learning as I go. Good Luck!!

When you consider the rechargeable cigalike e-cigs, most of the time, (not all!) you are getting a product that might not do the job for you. Now don't get me wrong, I know several people who are using them and they are quite happy. In exchange for using a product that resembles a cigarette, you give up some options like vaping longevity (most have small battery capacity so less vape time), some have proprietary cartridges you have to use, (that could mean less options for flavor and nic level) and the cost could be greater especially if the brand you choose only offers their pre-filled cartridges. I've also heard several people say, they just don't give them enough of a vape to satiate the void giving up analogs leaves.

Besides being here! ;-) another great thing you can do, (if you can!) is to go to an established brick and mortar vape shop. Talk with the folks there and check out what is available. They should be able to show you options based on what you're looking for. I know there are a few in Illinois, just not sure where you are in relation to where they are.

Thanks for all the help thus far guys!

I think i'm going to to get the kit I linked to in my original post but with the 1100mah option instead, I'd probably kick myself a week later for getting the 650. My mind could change 2maro on what kit I should buy, but for now its looking good. :)

As long as this kit will allow me to expand in the future I'll be happy. Obv I'm still researching if xxx works with xxx.. It's still way to confusing. :)

Most importantly, have any of you bought from this joint or used any of there liquids?
