My CB is not so CB....... :(

I received my usual 50ml bottle of Crème brûlée 12mg along with a 15ml 18mg bottle for a friend about a week ago. Normally it tastes amazing foob, but this time it just tastes flat and very weak, hardly any flavor at all. At first I thought I was just having a bout of vapors tongue, but my friend told me theirs tasted exactly the same way as mine, and it's still the same after about a week. My other e-liquids taste fine. I tried it in three different tanks, (the same ones I always use) but they all tasted the same.

I'm assuming it just needs a really long steep, but I've been buying Crème brûlée for almost a year now and it's never been like this before. Has anyone else run across this?

My Born on date is 10/8/14, the same day that I ordered it.

What's your order number (and nic level) - I'd like to verify how much steep time it has on it. It's possible that it has has less pre-steep time on it as compared to liquid you have received previously...

When Clark was mixing each bottle per order by hand with zero steep my CB tasted like nothing at all with a little bit of promise of something something going on in the way back. I stashed it away for a month then tried it and OMG!!!!! It was stunning. Sounds to me like you got some fresh from being made...hope it's that!

Oh and what color is it? Is it pale? If so that is what it is, I'm betting.

Thanks Megan, that makes me feel better. Now that you mention it, it does seem more pale than usual. It's sort of a translucent orange, whereas I think it's normally more of a darker amber/brown.

As I said, I think it just needs more steeping. Out of all the bottles of Crème brûlée that I've ordered this is the first time it's come like this, so I thought I'd check in.

Heya cold - that liquid is from the 7/9 batch of CB. Long story short, it has a great steep on it - so, that is *not* it. I am going to pull the batch/lot bottle and test it. We've been on this batch for a long while so I'm pretty sure it's not a bad batch (we would have known months ago).

I thought the same thing but it is my first bottle of CB, so I've been letting it steep.

My one and only bottle of CB doesn't get a lot of love for just this reason. Although it has darkened the flavor is very delicate/muted for me. It's currently taking a turn on REO #2 on the Odin (at about 1.2 ohms, 28 Kanthal and some sort of synthetic wick stuff I was given in a trade) and it's pleasant. I just figured CB is a very subtle flavor? No?

My CB is great... its a couple months old... I've got one bottle from 6/15 that was 12mg that when it was halfway gone, I mixed it with some NZ from 7/15...

Give it some time to steep or turn up the heat...

What is the ID (inner diameter) ?

I've got some 18mg from back in June that's pretty dark now... I'd be happy to send it to you to get you by while yours steeps. You might even want to just mix a little of mine in to yours to get you some more flavor. I'm at work, and I don't remember whether it's a 50ml or a 30ml, but it's mostly full. I don't vape it much.

well as you all know CB is my favorite (so far anyway) and I usually give mine a month minium of steeping. Its very good but I'm dripping in my magma on a IPV. I need to let one bottle steep longer and try it in my Reo but I never seem to wait long enough

It's obviously not the steeping, and if it tastes like it should, who would know better than you! Thanks for going to all the trouble. I'm positive it's just me, probably just a long bout of vapers tongue as I first suspected. It was just odd that my friend said theirs tasted the same way. I guess it doesn't seem particularly unusual that we could both have vapers tongue at the same time.

I've got some 18mg from back in June that's pretty dark now... I'd be happy to send it to you to get you by while yours steeps. Just a single coil, ID is 1.5mm on my Erlkonigin, Sofias and SvoëMesto KFL v2s. I've been using that set up on all my tanks pretty much since I started rebuilding.


I'll report back if I'm still having problems.

It's nothing against the NT team. It's all about my stupid stupid taste buds. I just hope, one day, my tastes change again, and my well aged CB/CLS will make me happy again. I have over 300 ml's of the stuff..............and no I will not trade it

Strangely enough my tastes have transformed again along with my sense of smell. I'm getting tons of sweet in everything but flavors are a little muted. Switching to the Doodle and hoping for the best.

This is when I went back to tobaccos...
