Hi all,

I've been lurking here for awhile, and have enjoyed greatly what I have read. I have also checked out other forums and resources to the best that my time will allow, and as I'm sure you know, all of the info can be overwhelming. I thought I did some decent research initially, but since my research pointed me to Green Smoke, retrospectively I realize that I didn't go far enough. I have had it for about 1.5 months and have had a couple of minor problems which were actually taken care of nicely by their customer service. However, I am now discovering that I am having hardware issues that aren't being addressed and I'm ready to move on to something better.

I guess what I would really like to see is a side by side comparison of every type, not necessarily every model, but at least a comparison of the different types of atomizers/carts, etc. so I can find what suits my wants and needs best. Maybe I just haven't been able to find this yet in this vast sea of info. If someone could point me there, that would be wonderful.

I also value the opinion of all the veterans here, so maybe some recommendations can come my way. I know many aspects of what I'm looking for, so maybe I can get a few suggestions.

1. I like playing with toys, so parts and stuff and accessories are something I would be into. Cool LEDs definitely turn me on.
2. I prefer something I don't have to refill constantly, but since I seem to be dripping my GS cartomizers, dripping doesn't bother me.
3. I think I would prefer a flat tip to round.
4. I like the throat hit but I don't need for it to blow my head off. Medium to strong would be good. I do enjoy massive clouds of vapor, ALOT.
5. Battery life can be an issue as sometimes I may have to go all day without a recharge. I know that most come with two batteries like mine did, and that is sufficient. I do, however, spend alot of time in front of computers, so USB battery chargers and USB passthroughs are mandatory for me. 3.7 volt seems good to me, although 5 would not be out of the question. Any higher than that is probably overkill for me. I'm neither here nor there on a PCC. It's possible but not really my first choice.
6. Small body, large body, it doesn't really matter too much. It absolutely does not have to look just like an analog for me, I would kind of prefer that it doesn't.
7. I would like to keep the price down, but whatever I like best is what I will get. I'll make it work somehow.
8. I find myself vaping all the time at home, and somewhat often at work. I used to go out 2-3 times per day for smoke breaks, but now of course I sit at my desk and vape. The Green Smoke actually did get me off a pack of analogs a day within a couple of days.
9. The atomizer issue is highly important. I hope some of the criteria above will indicate what type would be best for me, but I love strong flavor, (as said) medium to strong TH, and fair ease of use. I think maybe something that is easy to acquire and use adapters for would be my bag so I could try out different atomizers. I do fill/refill/drip the current cartomizers I use, so prefilled is inconsequential. I'm more interested in the performance of atomizers/carts rather than ease of use. I know it is hard for anyone to say what would be best for me, but please try!

Reading this back, I see that it is a little vague, and that probably many devices will fit what I am looking for. I prefer "made in USA", and I demand quality. This is something I will use constantly every day, so I don't want to mess around with cheap crap. I have a few devices in mind already, but I want to see (without mentioning them) if they come up in suggestions. Thanks to anyone that can help!

I have tried several smaller units the 510 being my favorite. It provides a fair amout of vapor and the throat hit is usually pretty good. I have tried a couple of mod (will not mention)but had some problems with them. I just ordered a Super T 6 from supermanufacturing. The reviews so far have been excellent. Just look at the pictures. I was blown away. I realize it cost more than most mod but it looks like it is worth it. There are numerous mod out there but some of the 3.7 volts are not much better than a regular ecig like the 510 (which most members suggest). I really did not get that much difference except the battery lasts longer. That is one reason I am going with the S6 it will run 6 volts and I have heard this is much more vapor and throat hit. Can't wait to see it.

I think you sound ripe for a 3.7v mod which will increase your battery life, and almost everyone will tell you that you will also get more vapor than using standard 3.7v batteries. I think you should get a 510 version of whichever mod you get, because you can get adapters to go from 510/801 or 510/901 and cartomizers. I do think you should move away from cartomizers though if you are already dripping. And you might get into all the different cartridge mods if you want to mess with cartridges still.

I am going to suggest things like the Little Chuck, the Bartleby, and the Tornado.

In order to reduce throat hit and increase vapor even more you might want to look into VG juices to see if you like them, or at least get a juice that is a good mix of both PG and VG.

It sounds like one of the mods would be best for you, or maybe a couple of them :). They are like potato chips, you can't have just 1. You can buy adapters to change to different types of atomizers so that you can try a couple and see which one suits you best.

Now on to what I have and my opinions of them. Right now I have 2 Adaptevers (with a sleeve so that I can use high voltage as well as 3.7), a VP2 and a VP Passthrough. I spend most of my time at the computer so I use the passthrough a lot.

I have 2 Adaptevers because I bought one and loved it and advised a friend to get one too. She didn't like hers so I traded a bunch of my DIY liquid and some spare attys for it. I found out when I used her batteries why she didn't like it. Her batteries were crap and it didn't put off much vapor. It works great with my batteries so I keep them both loaded with different flavors. They are good units, well made and will stand up to being dropped repeatedly. I've had them for 5 months and they perform perfectly still. The batteries last for about 6-8 hours of heavy vaping (using Ultrafire 3.6v 880MAH).

The VP2 I bought because I liked the look of it and the little ring of LEDs. I only had 1 Adaptever at the time and wanted a backup unit. I can always make excuses to buy one more PV :). It works great and I really like the size and shape of it. The batteries last 6-8 hours of heavy vaping.

The VP PT is also wonderful. It works great and is comfortable to hold and is a nice weight. Put off good vapor plugged into the computer or the wall. There is a good video review on Dietsmokes' website. It has a good sized cord on it, not a thin flimsy one and not so thick that it is unmanageable. Also, the big light in the middle is just plain fun.

For atomizers I use the 801 and 510. They both give off a good amount of vapor, but they are a little different. The 510 gives off a bit warmer vapor but requires filling a little more often than the 801. The 801 has a flat mouthpiece that is softer than others I have used. It is very flat, kind of like a duck bill. The 510 comes with either round or flat mouthpieces. I prefer the flat. They are thicker than the 801 mouthpieces, but still very comfortable.

Hope some of this info is useful. Other people will chime in with the pros of the mods they use I'm sure. There are a lot of good ones out there, and a lot of whet made my decisions on which to buy was who had the ones with good reviews in stock when I wanted to order them. I still have a couple that I plan to buy as money is available. Not because I'm unhappy with any of mine, but because I love them so much and want more. Being able to have a number of flavors loaded and ready to grab depending on what I feel like having at the moment has made me spoiled :)

Thank you all for that excellent information. I looked up everything you guys talked about and those devices all certainly seemed to be excellent! Of course being as picky as I am, I found things about most of them that made me think twice. I also spent several more hours on this problem yesterday until I finally reached a conclusion.

I agree that a 510 seems right for me. I guess LEDs are more important than I thought because on some of those larger mods I got disappointed when I saw that they didn't have any. I guess that isn't a big deal, but it kept me looking around. I also saw tons of other stuff that looked good, and plenty that turned me off immediately. I'm not completely done yet because yeah, I'll be one of those people with several devices eventually. There is sort of a need RIGHT NOW, not due to the instant gratification thing, but because my other POS is failing me and I really have no interest in going back to Camel lights while I have to wait for something to arrive.

I settled on a Joye 510 (emerald green/white LED) from Electro-Nic-Stix, and added a USB charger and USB passthrough. This combination of stuff will keep me from ever having to worry about battery life. I ordered from ENS for a couple of reasons: I'm in AZ and they are in UT. I figured this would equate to quicker USPS lag time. I also saw really good reviews about Jason of ENS. I placed the order right at midnight and realized I forgot to order blank carts. I emailed Jason to resolve the problem and he was online answering my questions and fixing my mistake instantly! OK, that seems like dedication to me. I feel very comfortable in my choice of suppliers.

So there it is. Thanks for the advice, and I'll continue to slowly research my next device purchase (kind of liking the Janty Stick V3)...

given what your requirements are and what you ordered...and the fact that you're looking at the jantystick v3...also take a look at the bartleby and the carlos juicebox..the bartleby is a box mod with a larger battery recharges USB and acts as a PT when plugged in...has some LEDs on it, as well as an on off switch..
the juicebox has a juice resevoir so has better juice capacity and is more customizeable..

You know, the Nicostick mod does look kind of fun, I might have to fool around with that when I get a chance. I agree, having something homemade does have its satisfaction!

As far as the 801 goes, I'm sure that I will end up trying it at some point. When I do something, I tend to OVERdo it, so I'll probaly end up with a cabinet full of types/varieties/sizes before too long. At least for a little while, $$ will be my major inhibitor to having the ultimate collection. It really was a toss up between the 510 and the 801 for me this time around though.

I have looked at the Wonderful World of Vaping, but I intend to give it a bit of a re-read after your reminder. If nothing else, vaping certainly seems to enhance one's reading skills since hours upon hours can be spent learning new stuff.

The Juicebox. Wow. Yeah, I totally want one of those. It looks like Carlos is a little bit covered up now, so I'm going to wait for a bit. That is definitely one of the best suggestions I have seen yet though. Maybe after a few more months when he is a little more caught up will be the time. Plus, as things progress, especially at the rate he is selling them, I imagine there will be various upgrades he will apply over the course of time. I can't wait to see what it is like in say, a year!

Thanks again y'all, good stuff.
