I tongue tasted the following flavors to see what recipes they would go in. The concentration was approximately 20% mixed with PG

Sweet Cream TFA – just like the name says, comparable to half-n-half, would be good with coffee and coffee mixes, with fruit for the fruit and cream effect, has an actual dollop of cream mouth feel to it, natural tasting

Marshmallow TFA – artificially sweet like the product; lighter feel to it

Bavarian Cream TFA – rich with vanilla, somewhat artificial tasting; donuts, some desserts

Caramel Candy TFA – very candyish tasting, just like the caramel candy squares, not like true caramel; very sweet – could be used to sweeten recipes

Butter Cream NF - Just like butter cream icing, artifically sweet, slight vanilla component

Vanilla Bean Ice Cream TFA - I have no idea how they do it, but this tastes pretty close to the ice cream, but with a fake-ish vanilla note. It even has a taste of being ice cream as opposed to an icing or cream, but not a koolada type of cool - there's no cool sensation like you get with koolada

Vienna Cream FA- This is the 2nd most authentic tasting cream, with Sweet Cream being the 1st. It is light, more authentic vanilla than the other creams I've sampled, and would pair well with recipes that mimic cookies or baked desserts. It would also pair well with tobaccos and bourbons

Cream - FE This cream is sweeter than the sweet cream from TFA, but provides more mouthfeel and would be good with richer recipes. This is a layered flavor even as a standalone

Custard - FA I have not had any custard vapes, so I cannot rate this in comparison to anything. It has a strong alcohol tasting component, not because it contains ethyl alcohol, but because it seems to have that flavor component. It tastes kind of fake, so I would imagine not the best custard available

Cream Cheese Icing - LA This tastes like authentic cream cheese icing, vanilla that is natural - I would rank it 3rd place for natural, uncloying taste

Catalan Cream - FA This is an authentic, medium strength cream with a slight cinnamon note

This one is Lorann's. Wizard Labs really should include manufacturer names on their labels.

Thanks for the correction. WL does include manufacturer names on the labels. I just have so many flavors from various manufacturers, I get them confused sometimes. I'll make the change in my notes.

Final results of this test batch:

White Grape - CAP 2% - 7%; slight to heavy perfume notes even with steeping with cap off

Fig - CAP 2% - 9%; slight to moderate perfume note, but steeping with the cap off over a week dissipates the note

Plum - HS 3% - 8%

Boysenberry - TFA 2% - 4%; unvapeable perfume note present at all %'s tested with only mild boysenberry flavor

Guava - LAN 5% - 6%; with no perfume note, but only mild fruit flavor. >7% perfume is dominant even with steeping with the cap off

Cherry - INA(CZERESNIE) 1% - 8%; excellent authentic cherry pie filling flavor

Lychee - FA 1% - 4%; slight to moderate perfume note that mostly dissipates with cap-off steeping

Lychee - TFA 1% - 5%; more authentic and crisper, cleaner fruit taste than the FA Lychee

Cucumber - CAP 1% - 6%; this is a sort of fake-ish cucumber that tastes a little artificially sweetened

I am mixing 1/3 of the test batch bottle of the Inawera Cherry (CZERESNIE) at 8% (1/3 5ml bottle) with half the bottle of the TFA Lychee at 8% (2.5 mls) to test these in combination.
Not so good...the lychee dominates, the cherry is almost not present

I am mixing 1/3 of the Inawera Cherry (CZERESNIE) at 8% (1/3 of 5ml bottle) with 2/3 of the Hangsen Plum at 8% (2/3 of 5ml bottle) to test these in combination.
Very good

I am mixing 1/3 of the Hangsen Plum at 8% (1/3 of 5ml bottle) with 3mls of the steeping batch of Inawera Dark Fire tobacco at 48 drops/15ml.
This is really, really good!

This is my next batch of single test flavors. I will start each one at 1% concentration:

I've taste tested these flavors on my tongue, mixed at approximately 20% in pure PG:

Passion Fruit - TFA semi-authentic, mild fruit flavor

Quince - TFA chemical taste, also sour, but sharp

Blueberry Extra - TFA strong, sharp, authentic, not candy-like

Apple Tart (Granny Smith) - TFA green jolly rancher, but will need something to add sweetness if using this for a jolly rancher recipe

Honeysuckle - TFA perfect authentic; would be great to add to fruits and drinks

Honey Dew - TFA surprisingly strong compared to the cantaloupe, authentic

Pomegranate Deluxe - TFA sweet authentic, a bit tart, tastes exactly like the jelly inside a jelly donut

Strawberry (Ripe) - TFA accurate ripe fruit taste, perfect

Orange Cream - TFA push-up pop, very good

The Dragon Fruit/Mango is more interesting, but lacks something....This has been steeping a few more days - at the same %, the Mango dominates, but the DF tones down the bite of the Mango.

This has been steeping over a month. With just these 2 flavors, this is a mellow vape. The Mango definitely dominates, and the Dragon Fruit is a backnote, more noticeable on the exhale, at least to my palate. It is too 2-dimensional for me, though. I divided this 5ml bottle into 3rds, thereby making 3x1.5+ bottles of this mixture. I am adding:

Bottle #1) 1 drop of CAP Fig
Bottle #2) 1 drop of LA Apricot
Bottle #3) 1 drop of TFA Juicy Peach

Going to let these steep a few days

Latest test with 16 drops/5ml or 48 drops/15ml sample:

Virginia - INA (WG - tino d'milano) - Also added 2 more drops/5ml or 6 drops for the 15ml sample of Virginia TA; I think this is as strong as I want it either standalone or in a mix.

Fragrance: 2/5
Throat hit: 1/5
Sweetness: 3.5/5
Strength of taste: 3.5/5

Dark Fire - INA (WG) - This is as as strong as I will want this flavor either standalone or in a mix.

Fragrance: 2/5
Throat hit: 2/5
Sweetness: 2.5/5
Sourness: 2/5
Strength of taste: 4/5

7 Leaves - FA This is as strong as I will ever use this flavor either standalone or in a recipe (14 drops/5ml or 42 drops/15ml sample)

Fragrance: 4/5
Throat hit: 3/5
Sweetness: 2/5
Sourness: 4/5
Strength of taste: 4/5

I am going to add 1.8% nicotine to each 15ml sample and allow them to steep for about 2 weeks. After the 2 week period, I will separate each sample into 3 5ml test vials to try 1) Vinegar 2) a fruit/alcohol (whisky/bourbon) 3) the Inawera DNB drops. I want to see the impact each of these have on the original tobacco base.

These single flavor tobacco samples have been steeping almost a month. I did not do the above mentioned additions. Instead, I am doing this:

1) I mixed 3ml of the Dark Fire tobacco with approximately 1.5+ml (1/3 of a 5ml bottle) of Hangsen Plum at 8%. This is the bomb already, but I may add something else to it to give it an extra level of complexity

2) Separate out 5ml of the Dark Fire tobacco and add 1 drop of Inawera DNB (Dirty Neutral Base) to give it that ashy note

3) Separate out 5ml of the Inawera WG - tino d'milano Virginia tobacco and add 1 drop of the DNB

4) Separate out 5ml of the FA 7 Leaves tobacco and add 1 drop of DNB

Apricadabra sounds yummy. I think I'll mix some of that up!

I tried different concentrations, and this is what I ended up with:

5ml test batch:

Apricot - LA 13%
Nectarine - LA 8%
Juicy Peach - TFA 7%
Lemon - TFA 5%

I just found this in my testing area, and it has been steeping a while, almost 2 months. It's really good. Steeping made the flavors meld better.

Hey Roger,

I would say TFA Strawberry (Ripe) is authentic fruit while I hear the CAP Strawberry is candy-like, but really good.

I am going to keep reposting this set of flavors when I get more in and test them to make it easier to find.

I tongue tasted the following flavors to see what recipes they would go in. The concentration was approximately 20% mixed with PG.

Alcohol Flavors:

Kentucky Bourbon - TFA authentic, medium strength, slight caramel note

Vanilla Bourbon - TFA stronger bourbon taste than the Kentucky Bourbon, medicinal vanilla *this is dark colored and I think wingsfan0310 mentioned in another thread that this flavor is a coil killer

Brandy - TFA authentic, clean, medium strength *also cararmel colored

Orange Brandy - LA orange is authentic, brandy is the aftertaste *clear in color, but contains sweet almond oil

Rum - FE authentic, clean, well-done, medium strength

Almond Amaretto - TFA this flavor is much better than the alcohol/liquor equivalent, Disaronno, because the almond taste is very authentic and the amaretto flavor is separate and light - you can taste each individual flavor as opposed to a melded nut distilled alcohol :thumb:

Nutty Amaretto - LA This is exactly like the liquor equivalent, authentic, strong

Irish Cream - TFA very well done, authentic, medium strength, not overpowering

Whisky - e-aromat/INA authentic, oak aged undertones, strong flavor

Vanilly Bourbon - (tino d'milano/INA) authentic vanilla, but with an almost toasted coconut note, more toasted tasting than regular coconut flavor; bourbon is smooth and in the background

Sparkling Wine - e-aromat/INA bathroom scent undertone in taste (tastes like a sanitized public restroom smells); after first impression, resembles white grape juice with seltzer effect. I think this could be a better flavor for mixing than the FA White Grape

Kalua and Cream - TFA authentic, mouthfeel, fairly strong *contains caramel coloring - very dark *PG based

Butter Rum - LA authentic buttery nipple flavor, close to a Brach's disc candy, butterscotch flavor

Cognac (tobacco flavor ) - Seedman's - this doesn't necessarily fall into the alcohol category as a tobacco, but it seemed okay to put it here. This is a medium impact earthy tobacco with authentic cognac flavor - cognac is the dominant flavor while the tobacco carries the flavor and is the aftertaste; there is a layering affect with this flavor

Caramel Cream - NF This is a really good, smooth caramel - slight alcohol note

I'm going to keep reposting this set of flavors as I buy more that fall into this category and test them. This will prevent people from having to scroll back through the whole thread to find them:

These are additive flavorings that are often used to mix with other flavors. I tested them at approximately 20% in pure PG on my tongue:

TFA Caramel Cappuccino - Very strong, burnt coffee note, bitter, fake tasting, requires <1%

NF Kona Cream - Pretty decent authentic, medium kona taste with mild fake creamy finish

FA Coffee Espresso - Same creamy texture as NF Kona Cream, medium coffee note, coffee mouthfeel

TFA Mocha - Mild mocha, authentic

TFA Double Chocolate (Clear) - Milky dark chocolate with a sharp semi-sweet bite

TFA Milk Chocolate - Mild milk chocolate, not very creamy, a sharp chocolate note to it

HS Chocolate Caramel - Both the caramel and the chocolate taste fake and do not meld well together :-(

TFA Tiramisu - Authentic, strong

FA Vanilla Classic - Fake-ish vanilla, but not too bad, mild

TFA Cinnamon - very Strong, cinnamon oil tasting, strong aroma

TFA Raisin - I'm not sure I'm tasting this right, it has an almost licorice taste to it, would add a nice dark note to tobaccos

TFA Brown Sugar Extra - Authentic, strong, perfect

TFA Cheesecake (Graham Cracker) - Rich, semi-authentic, graham cracker note

Graham Cracker (Clear) - Nutty note, semi-authentic, mouthfeel, cheesecake with graham cracker has a more authentic graham cracker note to it

FA Oakwood - Great flavor that would compliment tobaccos, dark fruits, and alcoholic beverage type vapes[/QUOTE]

Hickory Smoke TFA - Very strong, perfect smoke flavor - tastes like BBQ without the sauce *very dark in color

Sweet Woodruff TFA - This flavor is described as a European herb and it smells exactly like the musk candy vial I got - heavy perfume. But, when you add it to PG and tongue taste test it, it has mellow, earthy herbal quality to it that is hard to decipher over the perfume note. I can see this going well with teas maybe, or with a cookie (INA Biscuit comes to mind) but I'm not sure what else.

Marzipan FA - Tastes better than Nugat from Inawera, more authentic, heavy alcohol note

Cardamom FA - Authentic, very strong

10% Vanillin in PG TFA - Authentic vanilla, medium strength

Toasted Marshmallow TFA - Strong alcohol note, light flavor, nice toasted flavor

English Toffee TFA - Semi-authentic, strong nutty note

New York Style Cheesecake LA - Authentic NY cheesecake with baked top layer, heavy alcohol note

Dulce De Leche TFA - Semi-authentic, mouthfeel, medium strength

Malted Milk TFA - This isn't striking me as malted milk, like the powder you put in malts or the center of Whoppers candy. It's more like a fake-ish cream cookie, similar to vienna cream, medium body, with mouthfeel, nothing spectacular

Mint Chocolate Chip LA - If you like mint chocolate chip ice cream, you will like this flavor - it's spot-on, authentic, very good *contains caramel color

Pralines and Cream LA - Tastes similar to me to the toffee flavor; sweet, decent *contains caramel color and ethyl alcohol

Apple Pie TFA - Nice apple flavor, very faint cinnamon note, more of a cream note than a crust note; not bad, but not rich dessert-like, would pair well with alcohols or caramel, but doesn't seem like a good standalone flavor

Do I KNOW how to make a complex fruit? Not really...
But I've got a couple mixes I like...

You should read through this thread, that discusses some ways to perhaps get fruit flavors to "pop".
You might want to get some "Sour" flavoring. You might want to add saline. A drop of actual lemon juice.
Or just keep experimenting!!

Of course our tastes will differ, but here's a simple blend that's just a pleasant fruity refreshing vape for me:
TFA Strawberries N Cream 3%
TFA Watermelon 6%
TFA Dragonfruit 3%
TFA Cotton Candy (em) 0.5%

I'm working on a fruit blend and want to use fig as my main, highlighted fruit flavor. I am looking at potential blends with different fruits. I started with this:

5ml test batch:

Capella Fig - 4%
FA peach - 3%
TFA Blueberry Extra - 3%
I drop of TFA Honeysuckle

I honestly can't taste anything except the base at this point. I will let it steep a few days and see if the flavors develop.

I'm looking for a complex fruit and I'm not sure how to achieve that. I can get fruit mixes that vary in intensity of flavor, but they all are pretty much 2 dimensional. If I add cream or marshmallow, it increases mouthfeel, which does sort of add complexity, but not really. I don't want to make it a dessert type vape by adding pie crust or graham cracker. Does anyone have suggestions on how to make a juice complex with levels of flavor?

I have read that thread and know of at least some of the tricks....0.9% saline at 1 drop/2 ml, lemon juice at 1 drop/5mls, etc. I am working in that direction, but working methodically and omitting the basics before moving into adding those. I know it seems like I'm painfully working at a snail's pace, but I'm trying to be methodical and transparent for others who may need the thread for guidance. I have sour and EM and koolada. I just added koolada to my Apricadabra recipe and will test that out tomorrow.

The recipe sounds good! I'm writing it down. Thanks :)
