So tired of knocking my vamo over onto the coffee table or floor. Went to the local hardware store today and pieced together this simple solution for less than $8. It's a 3/4" pipe flange and a 3/4" copper threaded adapter fitting. I stuck some little rubber feet on it so it wont slip around. So far it's saved the vamo from 3 certain falls already.

Gave the flange a quick hit with a wire wheel and ran some Mother's polish over the flange and copper to make it pop. Utilitarian, you bet. But I find beauty in the simplicity of function.

I'd have gone one step further and bolted that sucker to the table. For 8 bucks, you can make more and bolt them down all over the house!

Come to think of it, that's a fantastic idea actually. There are plenty of situations where a stable holder would be handy; out on the lake for example. Or in the motorhome.

This thing's getting more handy by the hour!

I do wonder what are some creative or desperate ways you've found to hold your pv before finding a reliable solution?

I've seen all sorts of holders, but yours is the cheapest I've seen, and seriously, you could bolt those puppies down all over the place and have a ready spot for your mod all the time. I like! :D

And yes, I'm single so I don't have to worry about the ol' lady cryin' about how terrible it looks to her.
