My eGo is possessed.

It's a manual. It was sitting on my desk. All of a sudden I hear the unmistakable hiss of an LR firing.

I look down. And it's firing. Sort of pulsing. I unscrew the atty and try pressing the button a few times. Still randomly firing when I let off. And then it stops. And now I'm staring at it... afraid to vape it... but also really wanting that Hypnotic Mist.

Um. What's wrong with it? I'm genuinely stumped, here.

EDIT: Just as I posted this, it started doing it again. What the hell. Now it won't stop. It's been going for over a minute.

Well, it had stopped randomly firing for a while, so I tried firing it - fired normally, and it still had a charge - and then cleaned around the button with alcohol, and set it in front of my fan to make sure it really dried out.

Stuck a regular 510 on there and fired it up. Worked fine.

It's now back on the charger, and seems to be charging normally.

Maybe there's the spirit of a dead e-cigarette in my apartment complex somewhere, taking hold of innocent batteries...

Aaaand it's possessed again. Ok. I officially don't trust it. Crazy possessed eGo...

It's like it's having a seizure. Just sitting there pulsing non-stop.

Um. Is it in any way dangerous that I vaped it a bit between its first possession and now?

It's still definitely the button on the battery. If cleaning (may have to soak it good) didn't work, then the button needs to be replaced. The only way the atty gets it's power is through the button in series with the battery and parallel to the overcharge circuitry. So a faulty atty, battery or O.C. circuit could not possibly power up the atty. Only if the button switch becomes shorted, stuck, partially stuck in or intermittently shorted. This conclusion is from your statement that your heard your LR fire up.
