I bought my evic a few weeks ago and the draw and taste seems weak compaired to my vamo. I can set my vamo at 6w and get twice the hit off of it compaired to my evic set at 8.9w. I use a 2.8 ohm vivi nova clearos.

joyetech used super thin gauge wires for the connection from computer to the atty so if you can re solder in some heavy gauge wire it will most likely fix your issue very simple as long as you aren't afraid to pop off the top half btw bottom mount attys melt the glue on the evic so it will make it easy to pop apart i use the wires on a 9volt battery connector from radio shack its like 2 bucks

Hmmm not sure if I want to do surgery on my evic yet, but what part of the top comes off? Is it where the screws are or is it the 5/10 connector?
@gotmantis I'm new here and I also owned evic which is lying around now. Due to leaking of my dct carto, the evic head control went dead. Really would like to see how in the world you open up the top cover. Pictures would be great!
At half the price and twice the flavor of my evic I prefer my vamo, It has a solid feel to it and a good vape.
