My experience with E-cigs and Blu so far.

Ok so which is better ? Can somebody post the good and bad of the Ego-T compared to the Kgo ? I really like the E-Go since I am a heavy user. Lol I'm so confused ! I did look at the flavors for the Kgo though and Omg they really have a great variety. Again I need something that will last as far as the battery goes and having one refill last as long as possible. I think that with the Blu which again is what I'm using now, I puff on that way more because again there is no throat hit and I get less satisfaction if that makes sense. Plus the nicotine level is lower than I was used to with analogs so yeah. What ML do you suggest for me to start out with ? I smoked full flavored Camel Menthol's.

The eGo T is optimized for it's own proprietary "tank". Basically, they've attempted to upgrade the old obsolete cartridge system. Some people have decent luck with it, but there are a lot of complaints about leaking, etc.
You can use other accessories, but in order to take full advantage of it, you have to buy special parts. That's what it was designed for when they work, they work well.

The kGo has no similar issues. You can get whatever tank system you want, or whatever carto, etc. It is also a 3.7V battery, as opposed to some eGos which are regulated to 3.4V. I'm not entirely sure what voltage the eGo-T runs at.

My personal opinion is that it's not really worth messing with the eGo-T or eGo-C or eGo-W or whatever the flavor of the day is. Honestly, eGo's are o.k., but they're overrated and most recommendations come from people who have never tried anything else. They have been plagued with shorting problems and charger problems too. I don't know if it's just the odds or a design flaw or Q.C. issues or what, but it seems like every case of a shorted battery due to a leak is with an eGo.

The kGo has every bit as much battery capacity. Get a 1.7ohm Ressurector carto and a tank with a good reputation.
Or get some of the larger cartomizers. See the kGo at Hoosierecig.com You just don't see much problems with them posted here.

If you want maximum battery capacity, an 18650 e-Power will last all day for even a heavy vaper. You can get a 3100mah battery and probably vape for a couple days straight without recharging.

Oh, I should say. With any of the models that aren't mini-cigarettes, the flavors are totally up to you. You buy juice separately and fill a tank or a cartomizer. You don't buy "eGo" juice or kGo juice.

This is totally unlike a Blu or V2 or anything like that. Your kGo will come with about 5 empty cartomizers. Each one lasts a week or two. You can buy them for 15 for $20 at some sites, or they're available all over for about $8 for a pack of 5.

If you want minimum refills, get the XL sizes or the "Mega" sizes. Better yet get a tank that you put a cartomizer into. They hold anywhere from 3.5 to 5ml of juice and last a very long time between refilling.

Tanks cost from about $12 up. Most any site has a selection to choose from. That's the good thing about getting away from the mini-cigs. You have a whole world of things to try. After a Blu, you'll be knocked out by the improved performance of just about anything you choose.

I can only talk from an ego perspective as I don't have a kgo or Riva. I have a few egos (lol), the bigger the"mah" number (like 900mah), the bigger the battery on them. The 650mah is really not much bigger than a small cigarette look alike, but will not last as long as a 900mah ego battery.

I like the fact that with an ego you can play around with different accessories to find out what works for you. Sure they come with a tank kit, but you don't have to use it if you don't like it.

There are many devices you can use on an ego. Anything with a 510 thread works. So you can find out what works best for you :)
Tanks, Clearomizers, Cartomizers, Tankomizers whatever you like will fit on an ego. It gives a decent battery life, is cheap and allows you to experiment.

Throat hit can be decent, of course the juice you use and the nic content in the juice will play a big role in that as well.

As far as I know, all the above applies to the Kgo and Riva batteries as well (someone with more knowledge about them can verify that).

Gratz on making the switch though!

Edit: You can use flavours (juice) from any vendor to fill up whatever you use on most pv s. Unlike the Blu (or similar e-cigs), you find a vendor you like (there have been some good suggestions in this thread already), order samples, try them out, order a lot. It will be a LOT cheaper than the pre-filled cartos from Blu :)

Here. Let's make it easy or you.
The kGo kit:
KGO kit 1100mAh by SLB
Here are some cartomizers to choose from:
I suggest 2ohm to 3ohm. The lower the ohms, the warmer the vapor but the faster you'll use juice. You're going to have to decide what you like best.
Cartomizers
Here's an economical tank. You need to get extra cartomizers as well. It comes with one.
Dual Coil Cartomizer Tank

I would suggest the ego-t? I belive or volcano Inferno starter kit it comes with a 650 and a 1000mah battery, tank-o-mizers/atomizer, 2 chargers, carry case, and a bottle of liguid of you chosen flavor. I just started vaping myself 3 weeks ago. I got an Inferno tank and dripkit combo for $15.00 xtra (adds an atomizer/drip tip/2 cones to the kit). So far I have had good results with it. I have never had either of the batteries run out. I have put each of them on the chargers 3 times (once a week or so) just to make sure they would not run out. I have had exellent results from the tank-o-mizer and dripping. Still having issues filling the cartomizers and clearomizers as well as the tube tank I bought, but thats a cartomizer too. If you decide on the Inferno kit order an extra box of tank-o-mizer tanks so you can have a spares as well as a spare atomizer. One more word of advice I have learned the hard way, Vaping requires a slow long draw with a longer pause between draws compared to smoking an analog. Drawing to hard and fast will result in premature burnt taste and smoking poly fill. You need to give time between and during draws to let whatever system u are using to "wick" up more juice. A long slow draw will get much more vapor as well. Don't forget to search for an ecig volcano coupon, you can save 10% on any/every order that way.

There is no reason, at all, ever to buy an actual ego battery at this point. The Kgo and the E-Power both fit the EXACT SAME requirements and do it better, usually for much less money if you follow the advice on these forums for where to buy them from. The E-power, because of the much cheaper price of replacing generic batteries instead of the whole unit, is by far the cheapest option long term, assuming you are sticking with an ego style for a while. It is the only "ego style" pv that is not designed to be thrown away eventually. The Kgo is disposable, but it's the best ego style disposable available.

I decided to buy a Blu starter kit about a month ago and so far I'm having a few issues. The pack doesn't charge, the battery life sucks, the cartomizers don't last more than 2-3 hours, there is absolutely no throat hit whatsoever, it's really hard to hit and the of course there's the burnt taste which sucks. A 5 pack here costs 16.50 and with me going through 2 cartomizers a day plus the ones that come DOA this is starting out to be way more expensive than smoking analogs. Now for the good part. I chatted with the people at Blu and they did give me a 10.00 credit which is cool and they did tell me to roll my cartomizers before using them which did help a little bit. The really good part.... I CAN BREATHE!
Just after quitting for about 3 weeks I can breathe so much better. When I carry a full load of laundry downstairs I don't feel like I'm going to pass out which is amazing. I really want to stick with this and I'm going to be trying the Smokeless Image Volt. I just don't think I can stay with Blu as I feel I'd be wasting my money. The issues with the cartomizers and the quality control is ridiculous, Now I do get a few good ones every once in a while but the bad ones are coming a lot more and I just can't afford it. So with that, does anybody have any idea's and do you think the volt will work for me and any advise would be great thanks.

I started with blu and moved on to the volt, the only reason I like the Blu is that it is available at the Walgree. And the fact I like their Chery crush so darn much.

I started vaping about 1 1/2 weeks ago. I got the KGO after many recommendations and it is an amazing device. I use the boge LR 2.0 ohm cartomizers and the battery last a long time. I tried for the first time to actually use one until it dies (blue light blinking while using it) and it took me 3 days to drain it. Also it is only about $45 more or less for a kit that come with two batteries and a charger. My friend bought the blu system at the same time and he is still smoking analogs more than he uses the blu.

You guys will never believe what just happened ! My bf calls from his dads house and says my dad has an e-cig he wants you to try. It's from hoosier capes which is only 20 minutes from us. Anyway idk which e-cig it is but it works so much better than the Blu. I just couldn't believe he just had one laying around and apparently he got it for his other son and he never used it. I decided to get some watermelon e-juice and it already had some drip tips with it. I have to say the flavor is much better and omg I'm so excited ! Lol ill post a picture of it when I get home. The only thing I'm not crazy about is vapor production but they have been sitting there awhile and the batteries are probably low. Could that have anything to do with the vapor production ?

Hard to tell from the picture in that link, but it looks like what was called a 510 Mega. IF, that's a big IF for such a poor photo, then it will be a 300 mAh battery, but otherwise identical to a 510 standard. (Reverse polarity from what I remember of Blu's, but same threading.)

I didn't even realize there was a shop in Anderson.

BTW: Welcome to the forums. I'm Hoosier and there are plenty of folks from Indiana on ECF. I'm currently tapping this on my phone sitting behind my desk in the southern end of Munice.

Just looked at the info a bit more and I think I may have even met Joseph. (I think he was at the meetup in Rossville, but I have a very poor memory of names...)
