My experience with Halo Cigs - Negative
So - Where do I start... I am off analogs for 2 months, and I've used multiple mini pv's to get there... However, the one I though I happily landed on has now let me down, because of quality, and customer support.

Halo Cigs is not the company I thought they were. I've ordered over $670 worth of e-cigs, and juice, etc. from Halo, and am still treated like a half wit. I can't believe the amount of money I've spent, despite their terrible policies, and unfavorable product support, and quality control issues. This doesn't even count the $100's of dollars, I've sent their way by suggesting to other relatives, and co-workers to buy their products.

Here is my journey and issues:

I started by buying V2 cigs, and they were fine. They actually worked good, and didn't have many issues, yet the battery life at time could have been somewhat better, and the draw could be airy at times, yet overall they worked pretty well. I decided I wanted to try the Halo G6 for the "supposedly" better battery life, and rubberized coating. I called the V2 company, and asked them to replace one of the batteries, and it was a sinch. Their customer service was very good, and they said - "No problem, we'll send one right out to you, and when you get it, just send us the defective battery." I should have known that even though people complain about reviers who make money from V2 for their good reviews, they actually still have a pretty good product, and customer service, and customer friendly policies. Regardless, I received the Halo kit, and liked the rubberized coating, and the components seemed to be good quality. Now I regret this, yet I returned the V2 set for a refund, and decided to commit to Halo.
Now $700 later, I know that was a mistake. My 2nd and 3rd set of kits for relatives, came with multiple issues.
1. The black battery wouldn't actuate properly when taking a drag - This needed to be replaced.
2. The red batteries came with 2 diferent coatings! (How could that be missed!) - One was the rubberized coating, and the other was an anodized coating, and they looked totally different!....This needed to be replaced.
So I sent emails, after emails with slow responses, or 1 response for 4 emails, with very general comments, like "Our Policy" doesn't cover, this, and that, etc... I asked them to send me new batteries like V2 did, so my relatives wouldn't go without batteries.... They said, "Our policy" doesn't cover that - You will have to send us the batteries, and we'll QC them, and then send you new.... Who does this!!!!!!!!!!! With an e-cig, you can't go without your batteries while Halo "QC's" them, that's like going without cigarettes, and as you all know coming off analogs, is not a time to toy with crappy policies, that leave you without. We spend lots of money with these companies, and they should have a different policy - Something like, "Sure - We will send new batteries out today, and when you receive them in a pre-paid envelope, just send your bad ones back, and we will take care of it. If you don't send the bad ones, we will need to charge you for them... Kapish"....
2a. Now they say then never received the return of the batteries, and I absolutely sent them, exactly the way they said, even with a hand written note and everything - And I can 100% bet money, that they lost them, and are now saying, "We never received any returns" - This is such a joke. I'm sitting here stewing, and really wanting an analog, because of their terrible approach to this situation, and I'm left with 2 batteries being shared between 2 people, because of their QC issues, and terrible policies, and unorganized internal operations.
3. In addition to this, they don't sell the LR cartomizers pre-filled, and since I tried them, and liked them, I had some 18mg cartomizers, and blank cartomizers, I ordered, that were COMPLETELY un-opened and intact, and not tampered with.... Gues what - They said, "Our Policy" doesn't let you return cartomizers, even if they are unopened"!!!!! Are you kidding me? This is the type of stuff that will make these companies lose their customer base. So, now I'm stuck with multiple packs of High Resistance cartridges, that I won't use, because of "Our Policy" - What a joke.
4. So now, the quality issues... First off, the middle connector on the batteries is inconsistent, and will push down into the battery, not letting it connect to the cartridges, and thus leaving you put on cartridges only to get nothing.
5. The air holes on the batteries are inconsistently drilled - I had pictures of this inconsistency and sent them to Halo with no replies on those issues. It was like they had no concerns... "Just another customer, you know their a dime a dozen... we'll just stone wall them, and have them send them back, and maybe lose them..."
6. In addition to that, the chargers have had issues as well. The internal connector on the USB female end where the battery screws in, continues to push in, and not make contact... (and I only barely screw them in until I feel the slightest of pressure, so I don't overtighten them.) and then it still happens. I'm afraid to approach that issues with Halo, because either a.) they will get confused with all of my issues, and again, lose the items, or I'll have to go without a charger at all (I'm getting bye by taking a knife and prying it out slightly to make contact)... b. They will just lose this also, or I'll not get a new one.
7. Additionally, the batteries come uncharged, and it causes you to wait on your batteries to charge 8 hours! and then use for 20 minutes, and then charge again - Really... These are not 1980's batteries or products - You should have a better approach than that.

Anyway - I'm very disgruntled and feel like I've been had. I like the Halo juices, but plan on finding another, and maybe returning my entire kits, and suggesting other products like a Joye 510 or something to friends and family, because I don't want them to have the same problems as me. My only concern, is now, that I don't have the batteries (they lost) then I can't return my kits for refunds...

I didn't want anyone else to make my same mistakes, so I wanted to share this.

Keep vaping - Just not with Halo - I hope I can get fixes at sometime and move on... I've heard good things about Smokeless Image Volt, maybe I should try them and start suggesting them...

Thanks

sorry for your horrible experience... I have been getting juice from halo almost 3 years and will continue to do so...

you may continue to run into these "product" issues no matter where you get them from...

I had similar issues from 3 different companies when I started... and it was those smaller 808/510 units that did me in... as far as I am concerned, they all originate from the same corner in hell... they just get fancier designs... and they are only as good as the people who stand behind them. I would have assumed that having Halo in your corner would be a great thing.

all of those issues went away when I switched to mods... at least try an ego next time...

and... 7. Additionally, the batteries come uncharged, and it causes you to wait on your batteries to charge 8 hours! and then use for 20 minutes, and then charge again - Really... These are not 1980's batteries or products - You should have a better approach than that.

This is standard anywhere

I quit reading after this:

"Halo Cigs is not the company I thought they were. I've ordered over $670 worth of e-cigs, and juice, etc. from Halo, and am still treated like a half wit."

After years in retail this is the most common line ever used. And people always have to place a value on what they spent. They feel after a certain amount of money spent that they deserve special treatment.

You will learn you never get special treatment when it comes to retail cause well, no one ever buys the "I spent so much money" argument.

That being sad, everyone has a bad experience now and then with any company.

Well if you spent $700 on them you shoulda had a battery waiting for uncharged shouldnt of been a big deal.

anyway, sorry but i dont buy your arguement cause you threw me off when you stated money... just saying, it will be had to make anyone believe your statement now.

It's too bad you didn't read further, because you would see it isn't about the money, but about the service. After ordering multiple kits, having the issues I've had are unacceptable. Regardless of the money - It's poor quality, and lacking service that are the issue. But thank you for the thoughtless, and unwilling to read further, response defending a retailer, who has not helped a customer - real helpful.

Additionally - I'm not asking for special treatment... I was only asking for warrantied batteries, that didn't work or weren't the correct finish.... Again, too bad you didn't read further.... your loss.

I might be on the strange side but I think of ecig vendors as juice-vendor or harware-vendor. Halo along with a couple other, I buy only their juice. I've never tried any of their hardware so can't comment on it. Sites where I order hardware, I can't see myself ordering any of their juices. I'll say that with all juice orders I've done with Halo I've never had any problems with quality or service.

My thoughts, exactly. Their juice...top notch, and you get what you pay for. Great flavors, clean vape. But I go elsewhere for hardware.

I spent a lot of money on poor performing products. I lived and, guess what, while I was doing that, my gums were healing, and I was making up the loss by no longer destroying my teeth / gums (I was a chewer). Then I did a little bit of research...not much at all...and found an amazing setup I currently use. It's not from Halo, so I won't say what. I can post that elsewhere. Then I wasted a lot of money on terrible juices, but found some I like, including some great flavors from Halo.

So, all in all, I spent a few hundred dollars on equipment I didn't use, and juices I didn't like, because I rushed into some purchases without researching.

It's a learning curve.

They're 200 or 280 mah, what do you expect? If you pulled apart the battery, you'd be surprised at how tiny that battery is...and that it can power a cartridge for 30 mins (and that has to be chain vaping) is pretty amazing.

If you take 10 or 15 minutes, you'll discover that there are affordable, variable voltage batteries out there in the 1000 mah to 1300 mah range for 20$ - 25$. That will last you 8+ hours.

Do some research.

I quit smoking and started vaping over a year ago with the G6, but having to carry 3 batteries to work everyday plus a couple chargers and pack of carts was not cutting it. I now use a provari with some tanks and it is almost always in my hand :p. Still on the original 2 batteries from when I bought them. Its a 2000mah and lasts a good 10-12 hours before needing a recharge. Also have a mini one with the 1100mah battery and that last about 6 to 8 hours.

Halo is the only juice that I purchase after trying tons along the way.

I got my mother to quit smoking with Halo's G6 line also. The batteries don't really last long and have a short life span, so she buys a few every couple of months.

I hope Halo people wouldn't mind mentioning other companies, but I must (this doesn't have anything negative with them)...

Who the hell spends 700$ on equipment, buying regular e-cigs? And why? For that money (excluding juice) I could properly equipt at least 15 people with full kits and everyone to be satisfied.

I really don't understand that kind of waisting the money. But I know the reason behind a lot of that - It's made in USA. :) So important so you pay 2 or 3 times more for the exact same things. Electronics are all the same and you should only check the company rep and price... origin is the last thing I look for, because besides what everyone are talking, money is circulating in today's world all arround and it's all interlinked... so it wouldn't destroy anyone's economy if you buy from other country if you get same quality and lower price.

One thing I must admit - Halo liquids are the best among all I have tried, and I'm ordering worldwide just to try different juices. But that has nothing with the country of origin but only with the good Halo people and their great recepies. Their juice prices is what it is for reason, but batteries and attys/cartos/clearos are way overpriced with majority sellers... USA or Europe based... without a reason because manufacturing of that products and technology used for that is basic electronics with incredibly low cost.

My 2 cents.

I just had to respond to this as I do not believe this is a normal response from Halo. I have been ordering from them for over 2 years and have never had an issue. I have ordered cartomisers and juice from them in the past and recently I ordered 2 batteries and a charger. I ordered automatic batteries as I have never tried auto ones. I received the batteries and I did not like the auto style. I contacted Halo via email and got a response the next day advising me to send them back and they would be happy to replace them. I returned the batteries and received an email from Halo advising they had received the returned batteries and would sending the replacements out soon. I then received a email advising the replacement were sent out the next day. I hate the your experience was not a good one, but I assure you this is a very good company.

As someone who just recently switched to halo juice AND hardware I'm kind of surprised to see this kind of negativity. Maybe its cause the brand I was using for years fell off in quality so sharply IMHO, that I dont notice small things with the g6. I'm using the 65mm mini auto bats, and I've been happy with everything except the PCC (which is a generic product and they all have the same flaws). The shippings been great, the batts have been lasting almost half a day with chain vaping, and I even like the prefills (which tasted like they were stored in a truckers armpit from the last vendor I was using). Also I love that every auto battery is sealed now! Sure, I spent a bunch of money trying to find my favorite flavors and on a couple of backup batteries, but having done it before, I knew what I was getting in to.

Anyway, I would still recommend a g6 to people that want a cigarette style ecig, but I think you may be expecting more from a k808 than it can deliver.
