Simple method that works, I use something similar for my "fast and dirty" mixes (the "hey, I think I want some of this flavor today" type of thing). As long as you aren't messing around with a target strength much higher than that and not making massive batches, I see no harm in the method. I cook for a living and I rarely measure anything by its actual volume in that... after a while you get a feel for it.

i guess i am more interested in the brand of flavorings that are better....not necessarily the vendor

As to DIY flavors, it really all depends on what you're looking for. I order most of mine via either Wizard Labs when I order nic, or from Capella's (when I need fruitier flavors). There's a couple of stickies in the DIY section about who and where, and I'd recommend reading those stickies before you dive into DIY. They helped me a ton.

With 14 drops of flavor you need about 17 drops of the nic base to get to 6mg nic. But here's a quicker way....

Have one mixing bottle. Put the 55 drops of PG in the bottle and take a sharpie pen and mark that level on the bottle. Add the 55 drops of VG and mark that point, same with flavoring and nic base. That way you only have to count it out once. No need for pipettes or syringe after that - just pour to the levels, then shake.

I do this with 60ml mixing bottle. Good for two 30ml fillups.

Is it possible to have this set up instead.

Have 1000ml of 50/50 PG/VG. This add nic and flavor as needed individually..

Or even add the nic to this 1000ml and have nic juice ready adn all thats needed is flavoring?

it depends on the flavorings you are using; if you are using VZ SC then just make the base liquid with an extra 2 percent nicotine than the one you usually vape, say 26.5 for a 24mg then after adding your flavor you'll end up with your strength and flavor
It is really easy to use a e-juice calulator, I'm at three weeks of DIYing and it isn't hard at all

Suggest keeping things separate, esp. if freezing. You may not always vape at the current mg nic level and you don't want to freeze your flavorings. Also suggest, IF you have 100% VG, that you first dilute it with H20 (I do a 83:17 VG:H20 ratio but anything around 80:20 is good - use distilled water) before combining with PG.

I actually do this. Not with my entire bottle of nic, but I'll make up 30-50 ml at a time to have on hand. I mix it down to 18 mg/ml 50/50 pg/VG. I know that when I add my flavorings it will be somewhere around 13-14 mg/ml. I just use that for quick little test batches, playing around.
