Well the battery on my 510 died today after 1 month of heavy service...At least I think so. About 90ml of juice so far. So out of desperation off to the rat shack I went picked up some rca connectors (which I could not seam to make work) A bag of switches and some nimh 2450 mah batts and a 4 aa box. Came on here did some research and now I am happily vapping by my own two hands and I must say it is pretty satisfying. Just want to give a thanks to all of you in this modders forum for making it easier and more fun to go to the rat shack instead of 7-11 for a pack of my parliment lights

Congrats, legpro!!

Regarding the RCA stuff, check out warp's PVMA sticky.

To summarize, you cut the barrel on the RCA plug (the male). Cut off the side connector of the RCA jack section. Press the battery connector into the barrel, screw in the RCA plug end and test.

Then - cuss, push the battery connector back out, file the cut end of the barrel, press the battery connector back in, screw in the RCA plug end and test.

Repeat as necessary. ;)

This may be your first but I guaranty it won't be your last. This is habit forming.

The switch is a bit fickle and i have to give it a second push sometimes..And It seems like I have to give it a second to get going. I'm thinking thats because i'm not using the lithium bats right now.....But after reading on here I robbed an laptop I have with a burned out motherboard for it's batteries but unsure since they are not protected..but it did give up 11 18650 batteries

Ok quick update.....Got the rca plug done now as well. I was trying like hell with the plastic ones but the metal ones were 100x easier to work with...Big thanks to warp for his step by step on the RCA plugs . With the 510 it's and almost perfect press fit. Also picked up a AAA box for a passthrough while at radioshack

Bristow, Ok.
And It seems like the big plus is and can make as many mods as I like and only kill one battery to do it now...( I know I can be a bit slow sometimes)

I told you it was habit forming. The first is the hardest. There is nothing like getting it done and putting in your batteries and getting a cloud of vapor.

The only problem I see with Warp's RCA brainchild is the 'wiggle factor' - sometimes, you've got to hold the atomizer a little off center so it gets good contact on the center conductor.

Or, it's just the crappy RS jacks... :D

If you got the metal RS plugs they work pretty well, no problem so far with mine.
On second thought...I'm not really sure what you mean by off center?

Are we talking the jacks or the plugs, or both?

Yessir...that would be them. What ticks me off is that's is intermittent. Since it does it both on the nicostick and the passthru, I'm beginning to thing I might not have a fully solid connection to the center post in the atomizer connection.

Of course, this happens AFTER I superglue the atomizer connector into place.... :ugh:
