Hello! :) Thanks for reading!

I'm just posting my experiences here to make sure that everything I'm encountering is normal and to get some idea of what to do next.

Afterwards, I'll ask a few questions. :)

The first thing I noticed about the DSE801 once I got it out of its bag was it was all wet! The liquid had only a faint smell, but just to be safe I washed my hands thoroughly, and the exterior of the e-cig as well. Maybe it was just a disinfectant? I don't know.

Then I started puffing away, and was getting a fair amount of smoke, but no real flavor. So I thought I'd switch out to one of the other carts included, and as soon as I got the mouthpiece off of the DSE801, it became obvious that there was no cart inside! Weird, huh?

So I just plugged in the "medium" cart, and started vaping on that - but, strangely, it seems like I'm getting even less smoke now, and about the same amount of flavor.

These things did come pre-filled, right? Or else why would they say, "High," "Low," "Medium," etc.

The draw is pretty tight, even when I unscrew the battery just slightly from the atomizer, and the quantity of "smoke" produced is very low; nothing like in the video reviews I've seen.

Any ideas?

Also, do I need to buy new, blank carts, or can I just "use up" the ones that came with the e-cig and then refill them?

Thanks, bye!

The fluid that was all over everything is a primer fluid, they all come like that, and we all hate it.

It sounds like you may have flooded the atomizer. Remove it from the battery, get a paper towel and blow through the battery end of the atomizer. Some of the primer fluid and excess liquid from the cart should come out. Put the cart back in and give it another go. Also, have you charged your batteries? They should be charged after you try everything out. Eight hours seems to be the standard amount of time for the first charge of new batteries.

Good Luck and Happy Vaping!

It may take a few vaping sessions to burn off any factory applied atomizer priming solution. Burning is often a sign that the atomizer is running too dry. Check that your cartridge filler is still moist. If not, drip a few drops of e-liquid on the filler or switch to a new cartridge.

A typical draw on an 801 would start with a quick primer puff or two to pre-heat the atomizers followed by a slow draw to battery cut-off. If you try and vape the device like an analog, you will not get optimal results.
