My first Ecig arrived today

Out of the package and the battery is charging. I'm kind of excited to try this and start getting healthier than I am using analogs.

I went with Prosmoke after a friend showed me his. Although I wish I had found this site and watched a particular newb video before I purchased, as I would have gotten a different model, but I'm sure this one will work fine for a while.

This seems like a really good and supportive community, happy to be a new member.:)

Hope everything works out well for you. The vaping community is overall a very supportive group of people so don't hesitate to post any questions, comments, or concerns you might have about vaping. I know that I personally probably wouldn't be vaping right now if it weren't for the forum helping me through a few issues with the e-cig. It is, like anything else, an acquired skill that has at least a little bit of a learning curve. I'd encourage you to check a few posts about the adjustment from analogs to vaping (assuming you were a smoker before) as well as general maintenance and selection of the equipment. These two things can make a HUGE difference in your vaping experience. The better your experience, the more easy it will be for you to use these things exclusively (if that's your goal).

Happy vaping!

Welcome! Don't worry too much about your first choice in an e-cig. It won't be too long before you'll venture off into the vast landscape of vaping and find "something better"! To me, the most important thing is to keep you away from cigarettes. Tomorrow will be 3 months for me. Although you may very well end up spending a decent amount of money on batteries, atomizers, cartomizers, even a mod or two, accessories, along with the requisite e-liquid to make all that stuff do something, I've found that it is a far cry from the money I spent on cigarettes. And it's a much healthier (less damaging?) way to support an addiction you already own.

There's no doubt you'll save money vaping...especially if you were a $12 a piece cigar smoker like I was. While I am still very new to vaping, I've already saved money by not smoking a rough estimate of 25 cigars so far. That's counting my juice and hardware purchases. I'm sure I will still smoke a cigar once in a while but it's been a couple of weeks now just vaping and I'm not missing the cigars (much).

Well after two days of vaping I can honestly say this is actually replacing my cigarettes.

The first time I tried to quit was with the patches, the largest one knocked my smoking in half. It was costing me more than just smoking.

The second time I tried to ween myself off by keeping a smoking schedule with ever increasing time frames, got to day 4 and I was going through DTs so bad I was nauseous and it wasn't getting better when the time came to smoke. I gave up.

But this time, especially with the broader range of nicotine dosages available, I should be able to do it.

As for the Prosmoke, the cartridges, for me, last about 10 cigs and a fully charged battery lasts about 12 cigs. I'm definitely going to be getting a 20%VG/80%PG mix to refill with. The throat hit I like isn't there and the flavors are weak, but it works very well. I haven't smoked a cig since yesterday at 1pm, the longest I've been without one in 20 years.

Don't know what equipment you choose, but I have an eGo with a 900 mAh battery,
cylinder style mega cart, and it has the shape and feel in my hand like a good panatella !!
IT'S WONDERFUL! :)

Congrats and welcome from me too :) I am at the end of week 3 of my vaping experience. The second week was the roughest, only because I think I was going through withdrawal symptoms from analogs. I had a few analogs during my first and second weeks, even though they tasted HORRIBLE and I couldn't understand why I was wanting them, lol. But I adjusted my nicotine levels in my juices from 18mg to 24mg and haven't even thought about having an analog this whole third week *happy dancing*!! So, if you find it getting difficult, tell the people here on the forum what is going on and they will walk you through the tough times, if you even have any that is. Just don't go backwards....Vaping is so much fun and tastier than analogs, plus, your not ingesting the over 4,000 extra chemicals that are in analogs! Good luck :)
