I had read a few things about cleaning atomizers prioor to smoking.... Is this a common thing or just an issue with certain ecigs?

It doesn't hurt to blow them out good before priming them with e-liquid. No need to wash them or anything.

Many atomizers come packaged in primer (usually just flavorless PG). Some people report that it tastes nasty to them. It is harmless though, and will not hurt you.

If you have blank cartomizers (atomizer and cartridge built together in one piece), just fill them and vape.

i think something that's underrated when jumping into vaping is the juice you're using

get a good variety of flavors.. at different nicotine levels. you're gonna hate vaping if you're stuck with a flavor that you don't like...

and please don't chain vape the first time. start with the lower mg nicotine. the way your body takes in the nicotine from vaping is almost like you're swallowing it or eating it.. so it takes a little bit longer for you to "feel" the effects. i know this because i chain smoked my last few analogs before i got my first PV and then continued to chain vape the PV right after, only to get a horrible horrible nicotine poisoning LOL

also... don't put too much pressure into "cold turkeying" off the analogs the first moment you get your PV. alot of people are successful at doing that... but ALOT of people, without even trying, cut down naturally..... vaping is a weird thing where even if you don't want to quit analogs.. you tend to just end up cutting down the amount of cigarettes you smoke until the point where you don't even want one anymore! i didnt' believe it until it happened to me >.<

cheers and good luck
