Looks as though I might have to order in some hangsens just to see the quality... Most of my flavors are TFA or a few VZ super concentrates, with a dash of some FW ones thrown in...

Tapped out on a phone... I think

you will be plesently surprised hangsen is so good.

I've been eyeballing them for some time now, just wasn't sure which way to go with which tobaccos, they have so many.

Where are you guys buying yours? I was looking at ECX potentially...

Eta: Derp, saw your link Danny... Think I'll grab some of the RY1 and the vanilla, like you suggested... How's the flavor profile on desert ship? Kinda like Halo's Turkish?

Much thanks for the tips. What Halo did is release Southern Classic prematurely. They failed to steep it properly so crack the seal and the strongest medicinal/cough medicine gag I have ever encountered. After proper steeping for about a week or in the UC for 4 hours it's reached about 80% and is a delightful smooth tobacco vape with dancing grown up zest and of course the marvelous vanilla bourbon. For me it's a great second flavor vape in the AM after I've had my Double RY4 fix.

Finally, this is one hell of a valuable thread so thanks to all. OP starts with a simple observation and we branch into some fantastic tips. Outstanding!

:rickroll:

Gotta agree with how the thread is evolving... lots of excellent tips on it thus far!

Yeah, when I first tried the Southern Classic, it seemed a bit "raw" to me.... so that would explain it a lot. I'll try it again after a week or so (would be about 2-3 weeks steep time) and see how it is... if I still don't like it, I can always PIF it :)

With regards to lacking AP, like Danny said, you can use peanut-butter, but depending on who made it, it might be a bit too sweet... but then again, that might be just what you're looking for! I'd say try it, see how it is... it might be the next big thing here, who knows?

I've got a "fluffernutter" steeping at the moment (for those not in the know, its a sammich of sliced bananas, peanut butter and marshmallow fluff... now THAT's a Southern Classic!)

Desert ship is good but I like the arabic better and the one I like the best is the hangsen T5. One thing I will say is you can't go wrong with any of there tobacco's. I have 6 of them and use them all it just depends on what I'm in the mood for at that particular time. There is not one that I dislike. I will eventually own all the tobacco flavors they make.

I saw where you mix them all at 7 percent. Which of them would you say is the strongest or most pungent?

And more back on topic, I'd like to add that the TFA roasted almond is also excellent for adding a little variation to our beloved dry4. :vapor:

I like all the TFA nut flavors I've tried so far which is roasted almond, black walnut, and peanut butter. I plan on trying some of the TFA hazelnut when I get the chance.

For my fellow "fluffernutter" lover with apologies in advance to OP for moving in another direction and of course huge props to others for the general mix idea which I tweaked. Normally you see it with Bavarian Cream or Gram Cracker but that's a little to timid for me and really doesnt capture the essence of this candy's special edition. It's the Banna Cream that did the trick.

I call it Elvis

Elvis_Peanut Butter Cup.jpg

TFA Peanut Butter - 8%
TFA Double Chocolate (Clear) - 8%
TFA Banna Cream - 2%

Some get the Peanut Butter on the draw and others get the Banna on the draw. The bite of the Peanut Butter with the yang of the Banana is heaven. No doubting that Elvis has returned. Mixed @ 50/50. Mix, fill, and vape! :)

No apologies necessary! I find it fascinating where this thread has gone from my simple observation, and I'm learning a lot lurking and reading all of it in the process! Keep posting whatever you want!

Hah! Very interesting. I've just mixed this to give it a try. :vapor: And now, I wait!

Agree this thread is awesome and has not only given me some darn good recipes, but better ideas as well :) Thanks to everyone here!

Edit: I've labelled the bottle as "Seniorboy Elvis" to pay respect to your contribution. :p

Back to the original topic...LOL
Partly due to this thread, while ordering my VERY FIRST DIY stuff last week, I got TFA DRY4 and planned to make it my first juice attempt. I picked up a couple other things, but MINIMAL, as I wasn't sure whether DIY would be "up my alley".

Well...I sit here typing, and happily VAPING the result. Sunofa..... that was easy.

Now I have to, of course, go on a flavor shopping spree.

My initiation mix was 15% DRY4, about 65/35 PG/VG, with 2 drops Bavarian Cream added to 10 ml.
Not winning any awards, but I've bought worse. :D
I let it steep for about as long as it took me to wash out a MiniProTank.

@Gekkonidae - Thanks. I'm flattered but honest to god I'm still a newbie and if not for the vets help it would have never happened. Let us know how you like it and of course any tweaks you make. I've got it in plastic at the moment and for my buds I can adjust the peanut butter taste like this: lower volts and its sweet. Crank up the volts and it's not as sweet but the "nut" is more prominent.

@Train2 - Congrats. It's gonna get better with time/steeping.

Finally, I just came back from the market and I realized I've got DIY fever bad when I found myself in the cookie isle which I normally never ever eat or browse that stuff. My god, I wonder how that would vape as I studied a few of the cookies. I even cranked out my iPhone and snapped a few pics to remind me.

LOL

I didn't have the banana cream, so I substituted it with ripe banana and added a splash of bavarian cream. It's really good!
Thanks!
Banana cream is added to my next order.

Great thread! Its given me a lot of ideas! I want to try this recipe of SeniorBoys it sounds great I have the ingredients except just plain banana and not banana cream. Gonna try the Bavarian cream too with it until I can order some banana cream. Also have to order some Hangsen flavors as the recipe from Dannyv45 looks awesome too! Does anyone know a place with the cheapest prices for Hansen stuff? Or somewhere I can buy it in sample sizes? Anyway thanks to all for this thread!

Need some help please,

I cleaned my coil today(one i have been using for about 2 weeks at 2.1~,with dry burn)and added the same DIY DRY4 in the tank i have been using for about 5-6 months.Anyway, the first vape has a horrible burnt taste, and then continues with each vape? This last batch i made up i went down to 6.8% flavoring from my usual 10%(to cut back on the sweet taste it has)but for the first couple of weeks there was no problem with the flavor,no burnt taste at all,in fact it tasted the same just a little milder on flavor. The coil is not fried or discolored in any way i check that after each dry burn i do to make sure i do not run into that problem before filling.I am at a loss as to why this has happened and confused? Any help is very much appreciated.
