Ok. I was having some major debate (?) couple of days ago on this forum about ProVari.
Let me apologize for those who might have insulted my the comments I have made.
I was total n00b and still am but getting there so please kindly accept my apologies.
Now the ProVari. I got this thing last night which is mini version with red LED. (the light is pretty strong..even good enough to damage the vision I assume) Its very solid as I knew from when I first saw it at the shop I go to.
Well my debate was this; Is it really worth all that money? What is it so special about it and why is it so expensive?
Couple of days ago, I bought 1 cartomizer since the one I was using started to taste funny.
After get it soaked n wet properly, I put it on eGo-V first. The new carto was giving me the same exact funny taste.
I thought I messed up the new carto. Then I put it on eVic. Same taste. The taste was so numb and the throat hit was nasty @ 4.0v.
Now the ProVari. Significant difference!
I was amazed how it tasted. Puffed one more, got even better! eVic was telling me the cartomizer was 2.8 ohms.
The ProVari is telling me it is 2.9 ohms. Well not a big deal but I was so confused why these two device is giving me different measures and the taste?!
Maybe its like psychological, but my sense of taste never lies. never.
The build is solid. But since I haven't bought any extension cap so I have to switch 18350 every like...6 hours maybe? well its 800 mah so extension cap and longer battery is my next investment for sure.
And the looks of it is not...quiet standing out which is good for me because I hate people staring at me and ask me mad questions like "oh it looks expensive" or "hey I thought you said you vaping to save money but you are actually spending money" if you know what I mean.
The ProVari won't give me that. That's for sure.
Overall, it is descent PV with proper attys maybe better?
The menu layout is out-dated (maybe because its durability, they didn't want it to be delicate I guess)
The standard size of it is very small.
It is not pass-through which I don't like. I have to carry extra batteries and charger every where I go so when it comes to portability, I can't give it good score..but size again, is good...to carry it around. Extension and bigger battery can fix this but it is not standard. So you will have to spend extra money to do that.
I will give it 8.5 out of 10.
