Just a quick piece of backstory. Marking my first week into the foray of vaping, I have ordered those two items from discountvapers. I originally have a Ego-T and ordered some juice from MadVapes. I'm still unaware of whats going on in the world of vaping but decided I needed something to get away from the leaky T aspect. There isn't much info on both these items online and I figured I could definitely share my experience with fellow newbies who are also looking for cartos or juices to try.

So here I am with a Sam Adam's lager in one hand and my PV in the other. First thing first is the Thor. What a sexy piece of equipment. Sleek, easy to fill, and all around impressive atm. I have no other experience with clearomizers though as a warning. The thing has an atty rated at 2.8 ohms. The vapor that comes through is warm and smooth. So far on this first run, there is also no leakage (lets see what happens in the coming week). Also, with a good long hit, I could have sworn I was smoking a hookah pipe. So much vapor that it's almost scary.

Now for the juice. I got it at 18mg and my only previous "tobacco" flavor experience is from the Hansang 3&5. The Hansang was sweet and strong, caramel-ish and definitely not a hint of tobacco. Now Jamie's select, the first thing you notice is the smell of earthy tobacco coming from the bottle... Interesting. Well I loaded the sucker up and went at it. The throat hit was mild but still there. The initial taste? Ashtray and sugar. Not the best possible combination. So as I vaped some more, I got a bit more accustomed to what I could only call as the smell and (presumably) taste of a fresh pack of cigarettes. There is something earthy and leafy in the taste. Without a doubt, I can say this is probably how tobacco tastes if I chewed on a cigarette, but in a good way. Mild, smooth, decent.

Ultimately, I'm not disappointed on first impression. What the following weeks hold for the Thor, I'll just have to wait and see. The juice itself I can definitely see a favorite all day vape for some but it turns out even though I couldn't smoke anything but a pure strong and smooth American Spirit, it seems like pure tobacco flavoring isn't my cup of tea. Though I can't hold that against the juice (and still consider myself a decent humanbeing).

Thanks for reading!

Wow, Fantastic First Post Pengers!!:)
Felt like I was experiencing it all too.

I had my eye on the Thor, as I was still waiting for a mini ViVi Nova, and then Thor came out, and now the Smoketech ViVi. Thought I'd sit back and wait for some more reviews, glad you're liking your Thor. I'd like to know more of your thoughts on this clearo:)

I recently learned that I'm not a flavour chaser, I have three flavours none of which are tobacco, I got into the vaping game after I had been smoke free for 3 years, seemed like a no brainer to vape rather than buy smokes. :) I diy my e-liquid, nothing too complicated - I have near fatal cooking skills and relegated to washing up duties at home :( Loading the dishwasher isn't too bad :D

Welcome :) to ECF

I look forward to reading more :)

Thanks for the kind words Meli! And I have been eyeing this DIY e-liquid idea for awhile. I just don't have the time at the moment to delve into it at the moment. Though damn it, I will get around to it eventually!

And in terms of the Thor, I would say for the price that it costs, go for it. At my first full blown day walking back and forth through Time Square, I can say that I have had a bit of a problem with some condensation on the drip tip but nothing close to being a nuisance. It's still running strong and I definitely am looking towards getting a more LR atty to put on the Thor to see how it goes.

Oh, Times Square, Manhattan, SHOPPING!!! :D I'm jealous!
I reckon you haven't had the welcome party 'cause not many/any Thor's have featured yet. Thor is identical (newest addition to CE4's) to the Vision Ego V2.
I like that Discount Vapers have universal heads for sale, but no price drop :( spares everyone asking will this fit my...
I'd really like to see a side by side comparison, just to see if there really is a difference between them.
As far as condensation goes, I think all clearo's suffer from that to a more or lesser degree, that's if they're not leaking;)
I think I would prefer a with a bigger tank tho', still thinking, reading, getting as much info in as possible then I reckon I'll get one of everything, only thing is, just as I think I've made my mind up, a new one pops up.
I'm seriously considering the Smoktech Vivi, will do me good to play around one those before I take the plunge and get a proper RTA.
As far as DIY goes, everyone gets to it eventually, maybe the bug has bitten you hard enough yet, but you'll soon feel that itch :D
Just have fun, and keep on Vaping :)

I have tried both the Thor and Kanger T2 V2, and hands down the Kanger T2 V2 is better. The heads can be found on sale for $.99 and if that is still to high, they are easy to re-coil if you are into that DIY atty stuff. Currently the T2 can be found for around $3.99 on sale, and it hold 2.4ml of yer fave juice.

Why dont I like the Thor?
1. I am using a sealed 510 VaritubeX (Read Lavatube 2.0) with an 510 to eGo adapter, and there is no side air holes in the skirting around the base, so everytime I draw in, I feel like my head is going to turn inside out! X-( I suppose I could drill 2 small holes myself, but that is not going to happen anytime soon.
2. It only holds 1.6ml.
3. The cost of the unit and replacement heads are more expensive.

Why do I LOVE the Kanger T2 V2 (also known as the SunFire V2)?
1. COST....COST....COST! $3.99 Unit, $1 heads!
2. The best taste, prolly the cleanest vape I've ever had!
3. Perfect draw right from the beginning.
4. Holds 2.4ml, and does not look cumbersome on an eGo Twist (My wife's)

Thats my 2 cent review, but to each their own!

Quick background: i've been vaping over a year. started on xhales then moved to joye 510 and lastly joye 510/egoT.

I've been using clearomizers (Vision eGo clearomizer) for a few months. However, I've been highly disappointed by their failure rate. If I vape often, i may get a couple weeks. I've had them last between 1.5 months and 1 week so far. As they aren't fixable, i got tired of burning about $7/clearomizer with shipping so i decided to try the Thor.

It came with a 1.8, 2.4 and 2.8 ohm atomizer. Already installed was the 2.4 so i've been trying that first. The replacements cost me $2/each. I might get them cheaper elsewhere but i wanted to make one order. I use both PG and VG solutions. The one i'm using now is from JohnsonCreek (J.C. Original and Red Oak/Domestic at 18mg)

The vaping is better than my original clearomizer on the 2.4ohm. I tend to get low ohm atomizers so i was a bit hesitant to try the 2.4. I found that it is important to really screw the atomizer on tight BEFORE filling and using it - if it isn't tight enough, it doesnt work and then you're stuck emptying and getting ejuice all over. The bit that came with it was pink (which is just too phallic for me) so i used a discarded black one from my broken clearomizers - they have the same fit/threading.

I had no issues using this on my large batter (Joye eGo-T 1000mAh USB Passthorugh MEGA Battery). I had no suction/hole issues that others talked about. I did have the atomizer slip a bit and now that i know to really screw it on tight, that isn't an issue. It doesnt leak like my old clearomizers either which is nice. I recommend the Thor at this point - we'll see how long it lasts (i vape pretty heavy).
