I am new to E-Cigs, only going into day 9, but have fully embraced my inner vaper.

Consequently I wanted to mix my own flavour, so I bought a few ingredients and just went for it.
The recipe I was attempting was a fairly basic Rum and Coke, my favourite tipple back when I was able to have alcohol (I am now on strong medications).

So I have Flavourart cola VG, rum VG, 52mg/ml VG nicotine base and pure VG.
I am assuming it could be done with PG mixers for those that prefer it but I wanted a fairly clean taste with very little throat hit initially since I love flavours.

To begin with I mixed rum and cola separately to figure I my preferred strength of flavour for those and get an idea of the strength of the individual concentrates.
After figuring that I was happy with rum mixed at 10% and coke at 15% I could then combine my finding together and hopefully get my favourite drink in vapour form or at least close to it.

So the final mix works out for 5 ml as
52mg/ml nicotine = 30.8% or 31 drops
Cola = 15.0% or 15 drops
Rum = 10.0% or 10 drops
VG = 44.2% or 44 drops

Of course now comes the fun bit as I will have to leave it to mature but I can't wait to see how I've fared. I will report back my findings after a couple of days.

If anyone has any advice for me or indeed realises I have done something horribly wrong I hope you will comment as this is all new to me - vaping wise at least since I have been known to be quite experimental with cooking.

Seems like the correct route to me.

I would have thrown the mixed bottle into a cup of hot tap water and give it a shake every few minutes, outside of the water bath, and then tried it after it cooled down.

I wouldn't change anything until it had sit a week, but I couldn't wait that long just for a taste. Or two. Or eleven.

When I came to choosing it took me forever as I wanted nearly everything they had in the shop I was at (liberty flights) as they have a great selection of the flavourart concentrates.

After some hard choices I ordered just a couple in the sure knowledge I can get more flavours in a couple of weeks. . . and again a couple of weeks after that.

I then of course went to the flavouart website itself and lost myself amongst the choices - in some ways far too much for my noob brain to handle.

I think my experimentation could take up quite a lot of my time as I try to fin flavours I really like and can make myself as cheaply as possible.

Well the mix I did settled quite well and seems well mixed.
It produces huge quantities of vapour thanks to VG and the TH is not too harsh.
It is quite sweet (might have to add something to calm that down) but overall pleasant, you get the cola flavour straight away and the rum comes in after you exhale.

I am very happy with my first real attempt at mixology and urge all new vapers to give it a go as then you can make the flavours you want the way you want.
