So after going through a rough start with vaping about 5 months ago, upgrading from a cig-a-like to an eGo-V V2, trying out many different flavour of liquids, numerous carto's, atty's and clearo-tanks, I think I have finally found my ultimate vape gear!

I have now upgraded to the world of mods, with a Smok SID and a Protank 2. I got it through the mail this morning, along with a couple of batteries and a charger, and after waiting anxiously for that green light to pop up on the charger, I was literally speechless after taking my first drag on vaping goodness at 7 watts with a 2.6 ohm head. I have never experienced so much flavour or vapour production with a clearo before, I absolutely love it! The VW feature is amazing, I love how I won't have to fiddle with tuning the voltage every time I put a new head on. I don't think I'm going back to plain VV again, I am just in love with the SID and the Protank combo. :vapor:

Awesome MrLL, finding your particular vpae nirvana is one of the best things. The SID with a protank is a great set up, and you have some customization options down the road if you decide to re-vist those toppers that didn't work for you previously.

Just a word about not going back to VV, that's fine, using the VW option works too - but don't let that mean you don't turn it up and down like you would if you were using VV. In my experience, even using VW, some juices just vape better at a higher or lower wattage than others - so fiddle with it, press those buttons and find that sweet spot with all your juices.

If you set and forget you just might be leaving some flavor on the table.

I really get a kick out of hearing someone's enjoying a new found sensational
part that goes with vaping... good for you and all those who do.

The first time I felt the powerful difference between a great Vision Spinner
and the Kick I got out of a MVP 2.0 from the same exact clearomizer and E-liquid
truly amazed me.

There's so much more for so many of us to experience... and enjoy...
and a wealth of information to consume... YES! What a great way to live.

I'll be sure to keep that in mind, thank you for the input :D

Hubby is the "I don't want to fiddle" type. He's found what is hopefully his Nirvana with the iTaste VV v3 and mini protank II. He wanted as small as possible, to fit in his pocket, that'll stay at a wattage he likes without a ton of button presses no matter the coil. He also didn't want to worry about what juice he had in a plastic tank an a cool vape. I'll never find mine. I like to shop, I like to fiddle, and I like shiny new things. My nirvana IS the hunt. So much for saving money.... Ah well. My hunting ways found hubby his ideal without any effort on his part. He can't complain.

I'm happy to hear you found something your happy with. I have a MVP2 and find myself using the VV moore than the VW - I can adjust voltage in .1 increments and wattage in .5 increments - more fine tuning with the voltage setting. Keep in mind different juices will taste better at different power levels imo. For instance my fruit mixes generally taste better at a lower power setting than my tobaco mixes - ymmv. Happy Vaping :vapor:
Cheers,
Steve

Congrats on finding the next level of Vape. A regulated device and a bcc is a step in the right direction. I remember when I first tried a PT and thought I'd found Vape Heaven!! Come to find out, I was so wrong, it was just a teaser to my Vape Quest. Ended up giving all my PT's away, when I found my rba.

Vape long and Prosper.!!

Congrats, InTheShade makes a good point, even with VW I find myself making adjustments. I have both VV and VW devices that I really like, either way I adjust to taste and preference. The thing about VW is it gets you fairly close from the start.

Little trick about VV, take the resistance, add 2, set the voltage and adjust from there. So a 2 ohm coil would equal a 4 volt starting point.

We all make our journey through the vaping world, glad you found your slice of vaping heaven.

0.1V and .05W are really pretty close to the same change, as the volts are squared. In the ranges we use a change of 0.5W works out to be about a change of 0.13V

Depends on your resistance of your head. With a 2.5 ohm head each .5 wattage difference = .15 voltage difference. At .15v per .5w, I can get three .1v adjustments per two .5 wattage adjustments. It depends on the resistance of the head as to how close they are. I prefer using voltage - to each his own I always say.

2.5 ohm head
6w=3.87v
6.5w=4.03v
7w=4.18
7.5w=4.33v

At a 3.0 ohm head the difference is even greater = .17 volts per .5 watts
6w=4.24v
6.5w=4.41v
7w=4.48v
Cheers,
Steve

Oh! I have so much to learn!!! I am brand new to vaping and am starting with an ego C twist, is this ok?

Actually that is a great way to start, been at this for a little over a year. Even though I have a ProVari and 2 Zmaxes along with several other devices, my Vision Spinner still gets used regularly. Hope you have a backup for when the Ego is charging, other than that, it is a great device for both new and more experienced vapers. Best of luck.

True, I was maybe trying to over simplify it. I was thinking it was around 0.13V per 0.5W at 2.0 ohms but I didn't do the math when I posted. I was just trying to make the point that the relationship is watts to volts squared and not one to one. Thanks for the clarification.
