My first order from Giant Vapes

Soo....I recently fell down the proverbial "rabbit hole" with my first Alice in Vapeland order. After sampling her juices, I fell in love with "A Quiet Morning" and realized I need more of it ASAP. Since Alice is only open once/week, and she was closed all of last week, I went over to Giant Vapes since they carry AiV stuff. Not only did they send me the AiV stuff I ordered, but also 4 different samples of their own juices. Yeah! So...I sent them a "thank you" email because these samples are at least 6ml bottles, which is very generous IMO. I decided to sample them one at a time, and write about them on here. I have only sampled one so far, so I will start with that one.

Sample #1: Derp Sauce "R Y U No 4?"

So...this "Derp Sauce" has a hilarious picture of a little "derp dude" on it and has a funny name. But, I inferred that this was a juice of the infamous RY4 variety. I have never tried an RY4, so I was curious and glad for the opportunity. This was sent to me at 24mg nicotine (which is great because that is how much nic I ordered my other stuff with). I vaped it in my Pro tank at 2.2ohm on my Vision Spinner at 3.8-4.1 volts. Here are my thoughts.

Throat Hit: TH is average..probably rate the strength of the TH at a 6 on a scale of 1-10. Medium throat hit, if you will. Adequate for this flavor. Works good for me. Thumbs up.

Vapor Clouds: I can tell this is a high PG juice, either that or they use lots of distilled water, because it's a very thin liquid. Surprisingly, however, this juice produced HUGE clouds. Seriously, I can't even see the computer screen if I vape in front of it. Awesome.

Flavor: The reason I have never tried an RY4 before is because I know it is supposed to taste like tobacco, and although I love tobacco, I wasn't sure I would like a fake, synthetic tobacco. Boy was I wrong. Nothing fake or synthetic tasting about this juice at all. Yes, there is a hint of caramel/vanilla, but it really does taste like tobacco...not disgusting like cigarettes, but just delicious. What a pleasant surprise, and so glad they sent this sample to me or I never would have tried it. Oh..and it's a pretty clear liquid, too...just a faint hint of color. Makes me feel good about using it on my atty's. I don't rebuild. I just replace.

This juice is going to be on my list for the next time I make a juice order. So tasty.

Disclaimer: I've only been vaping exclusively for about 3 months, and this is my first try at an RY4...so if you are an experienced vaper who has been around the block, obviously my judgement may be flawed compared to your own experience.

The derp sauce I got all seem to have different ratios. I got boysen tha hood, with hullabaloo and slight of hand for samples. Glad you found them. I've been ordering from them once a week..hard to argue with free 2day shipping+insurance when you spend $70..

I like vendors that vary the PG/VG ratios to fit each flavor. Takes the guess work out for me and I can know I'm getting the ultimate vape with each flavor. Don't have to wonder if I should re-order a flavor with a different ratio or whatever. That's the issue I have with MBV.

OK...So I have tried another sample sent to me by Giant Vapes.

First off, I want to give credit where credit is due. Giant Vapes is not the manufacturer of the juices they sent. The brands they sent me were made by Derp Sauce and Elements...which are vendors in and of themselves, however, they partner with Giant Vapes who carry their juices. I like the fact that one site sells many different quality juices. The biggest reason? I can go there and buy all my favorite juices from my favorite vendors all in one order, only paying one price for shipping! So...If I want to stock up on my favorite Alice in Vapeland juices and get some more Derp Sauce...I don't have to go to 2 different website and pay 2x shipping to do it. Yeah!

Anywho...back to the juice. The next one I have tried is Derp Sauce: Batderp Blend at 24mg nicotine. I vaped this on my Spinner...at different voltages to test the juice at different levels. I started out at 3.8 and cranked it up to 4.8 with no problem. I used it in a ProTank at 2.2ohms. Nothing fancy here...I'm not a modder...yet.

THROAT HIT: Throat hit is probably the most important thing to me in a juice. I need the hit, at least for now. It's what prevents me from lighting up. Unfortunately, if you are looking for throat hit, you will not find it here. I had to turn the voltage all the way up to 4.8 in order to feel even a minimal throat hit. I would rate this as a 1 out of 10 on throat hit strength. It's just not there. HOWEVER, I have a couple ml's left to decide if this will prevent me from ordering again because the flavor is awesome, but more about that later on.

VAPOR CLOUDS: Simply amazing. rates a 10 out of 10 on the cloud scale. Fills up your general area with dense vapor. Have ti give it a minute to clear up if I want to see my computer screen. Heck yes. Although, it seems to be a VERY thin liquid, which makes me think mostly PG, but I could be wrong. I now PG doesn't make clouds this big. Mind boggling.

FLAVOR: The flavor takes up for the lack of throat hit. Seriously. It's so out of this world delicious. The website describes it as a banana/berry/menthol liquid. I definitely taste the banana, but not really much berry, which is fine with me because I tend to dislike berry flavors. HOWEVER, the little bit of berry that I can taste really tastes genuine. The banana is super powerful and kind of reminds me of the banana flavored Runts candies. Remember those? So tasty. And the menthol...if you are not a menthol lover, don't let this scare you away. It definitely does not taste minty, but just has a "cool" feeling to it, if that makes any sense. Refreshing! Oh...also...another clear colored liquid, so my atty's definitely like it!

I'm going to vape the rest of this sample and then decide if I want more. It's hard for me to invest in a juice with no throat hit, but this flavor...it's unbelievable!

So...thank you to the folks who make Derp Sauce, they are awesome for coming up with this flavor! Also...thanks to Giant Vapes who proudly carry this product. Fantastic. And I will be ordering from Giant Vapes again.

Boysen tha hood is one of my favorites. Sleight if hand seems to be the only derp sauce with throat hit..hullabaloo has more than others I've tried, but they taste awesome. I've only been disappointed in suicide bunny's madriana so far.

Josh said if they have samples, they'll send them with each order, but I guess they've been doing well. Last order didn't have samples, I'm good with that, though. They don't have to do that, our even offer free shipping.

I ordered mine @ 12:30 am Monday evening, he shipped Tuesday and it's at the local Post Office ready to be delivered Friday. If not for the holiday it would be here today. So I have sampled another juice sent to me by Giant Vapes. This is the last one in the "Derp Sauce" series and it is called "Boyzen tha hood". Here are my humble thoughts.

THROAT HIT: Sadly, I cannot say much about this regarding "Boyzen tha Hood". There is absolutely zero throat hit. I'm a bit disappointed.

VAPOR CLOUDS: Wonderful! Rates an 8 out of 10 on the cloud density. Very nice! And this must be a consistent feature of the Derp Sauce brand since all 3 juices I have tried have produced lots of vapor. I am wondering how they do it, because judging by how thin this stuff is, I can't imagine they use too much VG. It's actually so thin that I have to use extra wicking in my ProTank to prevent gurgling/flooding (and in case I forgot to mention it, I had to do this with the other 2 juices as well. Namely "Batderp Blend" and RYU no 4?"). So how do they get it to produce soo much vapor? It's produces more vapor than other juices I have that are at least 50% VG. Amazing!

FLAVOR: Another absolute winner in this category. The flavor just hits you in the face! And I mean that in a good way! This tastes like you are eating breakfast at the Cracker Barrel, NO JOKE. Like the boysenberry syrup they have to put on pancakes, etc. It's simply tasty and amazing and SPOT on. It does not taste generic or candy like (and "candy-like" isn't really a bad thing to me, but I know some people don't like that in a juice). The flavor is just great.

As far as the Derp Sauce line goes, none of them seem to have significant throat hit. So if that is super important to you, you may want to see if you can get a few samples before you buy...to see if this juice will do it for you. OR....spend the $10 just to try a 15ml bottle. I would not regret it. Even with no throat hit I have enjoyed these juices just because their flavor and vapor are so amazingly intense. It makes for a seriously enjoyable vape if you just want to take a break from the norm.

Did I re-order any of these juices? YES! I decided that I really liked the "RYU No 4?". It had a small bit of throat hit and the flavor was so tasty. Was my favorite out of all 3! I placed a big order last night and it already shipped out around noon today. Can't wait to get it. My 2nd favorite was "Batderp Blend". I really liked the "Boyzen tha hood" as well.

My next and final review of a juice sold by GV will be Element's "Fyre". The website describes it as a cinnamon/fruity mix. Sounds weird, but it smells incredible!

EDIT: Forgot to mention that I vaped this on my spinner at 4.0 volts with my ProTank at 2.2ohms. Be careful...this juice will easily taste burnt if you put too much heat behind it. 4.0 seemed to be optimal with the 2.2 atty I am using.

I usually stay at 9watts. A little higher than you, but I use cartomizers. It can be used at 10.5 if it has adequate wicking. Haven't kept it long in a RBA, so I don't know about any higher than that. I think it seems like a mix of vg with a good deal of water. The way it was sitting in 20 degree weather for the whole day, it seemed like it. Just shake a tank. It's thin, but the way it ripples is different than liquids with pg. Derp sauce has been solid. Slight of hand and hullabaloo samples made me regret not getting full bottles.

What is the nic content of your sample. You vape at 24 right? I say that because some vendors do not give out 24 samples. That said my 18 of Hullabaloo is not giving me a big TH either, but the flavor is amazing. I think maybe the conclusion is this stuff is for the people that have been off cigs a while and do not need the TH but rather want flavor.
