My first orders of juices coming. Advice on which kinds may be OK to try sooner? (HHV, BWB & RAWR)

I am new at this, bought my EGo twist kit just 5 days ago and a few juices from the shop. Then I went hog wild and ordered a bunch of small bottles of e-juice to try, from Heather's Heavenly Vapes and Backwoods Brew ... and, um, yesterday I also, well, ordered a few things from RAWR, too. I will sure have plenty to occupy me.

I got e-mails yesterday from HHV and BWB saying the stuff was shipped via Priority Mail , so I'm hoping I will start to see some vape packages arriving in the next days. I'm wondering if someone can give me at least a ballpark idea of which ones might be better to try sooner, and which would be more likely to need longer steeping.
. Maybe I should just e-mail the vendors and ask if they have recommendations but I figure some of you may have some ideas . (I realize that different people have different tastes, but... any hints? )

As a wine lover, i do understand the concept of laying something down and it improves with age but I also know there are wines that you CAN drink young & they are very good, though they don't yet have as complex a flavor as they get later. Then there are others that are just undrinkable when young but become can later end up sublime.
Maybe the same sort of thing applies to e-liquid? & At least with this you don't have to wait YEARS.

I know I won't be able to resist trying some. So . any thoughts about which flavors/ types of flavors would be more likely to be at least good if I try them very soon?

I got it without menthol but I ordered a bottle of the "Angel Tears" so i could try adding my own menthol drops since I don't know how much I will want, and may not always want the same amount.

Wow......looking at that list I am kind of embarrassed I went so nuts. but I'll get over it.

Poison,along with BWB's 555 Exotic are the only tobacco vapes I use. Poison was ok the first few hours,but I just fell in love with the flavor,awesome stuff there too. You vape the truth serum all day? Did you have to let that one steep for a long time? I have that one and peach serum and both have this funky taste.

To answer your question: All of the HHV juices should be vapeable as soon as you get them, but they will also improve greatly with a 1-2 week steep.

The 1 flavor juices (are less complex, no mixing of flavors) will probably be better to vape without steeping. Anything tobacco, anything with 2-3 flavors in it.. Proprietary house blends (usually contain a mix of secret flavors) are all going to need to steep. You can speed up the steeping process by getting a big tray, popping the cap on each of your juices, and putting the tray of juices up high where it will NOT be disturbed by anyone, including children and pets, for a couple hours a day. Like wine, the juices need to oxidize, unlike wine, you do not have to worry about them going flat! Enjoy! My favorite juices are BWB although most of their juices need to steep.. I recommend vaping your less complex fruit juices off the bat, and try to hold out on the tobaccos and savories for at least 5-6 days. MMM I wish I were you right now. My mouth is literally watering. I've got a big order of china juices on its way because I cant afford the good brands, lol. But, I think I'll enjoy the juices I did order.

The BWB tends to require some steeping in my experience, HHV and Rawr are fairly decent out of the box. I think the Rawr have generally been the best right away vape for me.

And just wait, if you think you went wild with that round of vape spending, you will be amazed at what the future holds. Since I started, three months ago, I've spent more than $1,500 and typically get at least five packages a week, no less. Already have four coming this week and it's only Tuesday hahaha.

I thought it was pretty good right out of the mail, but it's downright amazing after a good long steep!!!

I found pretty much all my RAWR juices had to steep, except the Black Cherry, that one didn't change much.

I just tried some BWB 555 Exotic after a week of steeping, and it needs more time.

I bought some Rawr Poison off the classifieds here, so it was already steeped, and it knocked me on my ..., so I suspect you could vape that pretty early on.

Previous posters speak truth-- fruits first, tobaccos later, and Rawr Truth Serum is seriously tasty.

Good plan to order without menthol and maybe add your own later. That way you can try it both ways.

I thought I had steeped them "but" I didn't pop off the dropper top when I did it so maybe that perfumey taste will evaporate if I do? So now I am going to let 'em sit uncovered and see if they change. Hope so because peach and pear coconut sounded really yummy!

Mine wound up steeping tops off for 4 days. They say 1 - 2, but I had to go out of town, so they got to sit. Put the caps back on, tried it, and then let it sit for over a week. It was good after 5 days, but after that additional week, amazing. You should actually be able to see the color darken, and I don't taste any perfume/flowers (that taste is floral to me, but I know what you mean). The darker it gets, the smoother it gets for me.

Thanks for all the tips! I wondered about letting it "breathe" and it does make sense that it would help to expose it to air.

I checked the Priority Mail tracking thing and found that the HHV order arrived in Chicago. so at least it's in the same city, though I don't know how long it will take from the central P.O. to the P.O. in my neighborhood I'm hoping it will be in time to get on the mail truck today.

The reason I am able to find some great vendors so soon is all because of this forum.

I really didn't like my Rawr stuff when I first got it (Alchemy sampler) but 2 weeks later the ones that I liked - I really really liked! Didn't care for antidote and still have to revisit Poison. I got Old Man Juice for a freebie - afraid to try that one LOL
Also got the Angel Tears - very nice but eucalyptusy - not really what I think of as a traditional menthol.

And don't be embarrassed! I was checking my emails today and realized I made FIVE orders this weekend and this ain't my first trip to the rodeo. Five! Tommorrow should be a great day! Unless ... just realized they might not all fit in the box. If those preciouses get sent back to the PO I'm gonna be PO'd!

I got the HHV package today -- my first vapemail, I was so excited. I took all the caps off and put them up on a high shelf in a cabinet to "breathe" as suggested here, and I filled up a carto with the Cinful Pear from the sample pack and am vaping that now -- it's already very good! I tried that first since it is the fruity one.
I checked the USPS tracking and found the BWB package has left the sorting place in NJ.

I probably won't get the Rawr until next week though. I only ordered it Monday and it hasn't shipped yet, and I think I might have just chosen regular First Class Mail. I don't even remember if they had the option on the shopping cart for Priority Mail or I would have chosen that.

My next vendor will be Ahlusion. BUT not right away! I've already got a wish list though.

This was my first time filling a carto. I fortunately managed to do it with no spillage because I remembered I had a 1 ml syringe and 18 gauge needles from the vet clinic.

The best news is that , after 34 years smoking , I've had only 6 in the last 6 days -- and that's a period in which I would normally have smoked 120 or more cigarettes . and I havent smoked at all since Monday!
(I don't know if I'll hold out or not, though -- even with the vaping I am seriously craving a Nat Sherman menthol. but even if i don't manage to completely quit right away, I will still be doing a lot better than I was. )
