My first (successful) rda coil build. Pretty stoked.

Definitely a better pull and some great flavor. Even though the Sig s does not throw clouds I would totally recommend it for any noob like myself.. contemplating rebuilding the same build with the coils higher up? Not sure could go for a bigger cloud density is pretty solid.

Nothing really keeping you from adjusting the existing coils higher, except you'd want to pull those wicks first to do it properly.

Thank you! I just replicated my build with vertical coils gonna give that a go see what happens haha

Ah yes, enjoy the experimentation period. TAKE NOTES! You'll nail something along the way and you will kick yourself if you forget what you did to achieve it.

Hello and welcome to ECF. Good looking coil for your first attempt. I agree that 26ga would be a better wire. It was the wire I used when I started making coils with Kanthal. I have since ditched the Kanthal and make only 26ga Stainless Steel Coils. I now vape using Temp Control and the nice thing about SS coils is I can also use them on my Reo Grand that is not Temp Control. Good luck on your vaping and remember we are here to help you.

Nice! I have never really messed with temp control I got turned off by my first tank an old roommate gave me but I'm sure once I learn about it I will get into it

Or you won't. Not gonna say it isn't worth trying out, but I have never found a compelling reason to deal with it, and have never gotten performance anywhere close to what I can just rolling with wattage. It has helped a LOT of people who've otherwise struggled achieving a good vape though, so to each their own as usual. Just don't feel like you're necessarily missing out or not "getting" something if you still don't like it.

Yeah, looking mighty nice, period, not just for starting out. Be prepared to use a LOT of juice and building material over the next little while, if you're anything like I was. Heheh.

I've come to the point now where I really only go nuts when I get a new atomizer. I build and tear down like crazy until I find my perfect (repeatable) build for it, and then I never deviate. I'm kinda boring that way, but I have been at it a while and eventually you just want a damn good vape.

...takes a while to really figure out what that even means!

I'm sacred at the amount of juice and materials I'm about to run through especially being in Cali it's rough to get affordable juice

You'll definitely need higher gauge wire if you expect to run vape-able quads. You'll be getting deep into sub-tenth vaping with 22ga kanthal.

Part of the reason I recommend 26ga as a good all-purpose wire. On its own it's not really great at anything, but it gives you a TON of play, resistance-wise when you're in this stage of rebuilding, and it's widely proficient, if not excellent, for actual use.

Personally, I never found anything past dual coils as being at all worthwhile aside from the fun of it. Doesn't mean I didn't try a whole bunch!
