Here I found my first vape product. I still have the blanks and the e juice I bought back in 2010-2011 from 7's..

Is there any vapors from back then still here? These actually didn't work for me, and I eventually went back to smoking. but I did try vaping right when it officially started.

I started vaping in 2012 with cartomizers and Volt cig-alikes from SmokelessImage. They got me off of the smokes, but I knew there was better stuff to vape with. I researched right here on ECF.

About a month later I advanced up to a mod with a cartotank. I still have that mod and some cartotanks, but I don't use cartotanks any longer. I haven't smoked a cigarette since April 2012.

blue Provari 2.5, white AltSmoke Silver Bullet, and black AltSmoke BB, all with cartotanks, circa 2012.

It cost hundreds just for these little crap cigalike sets, I was finished, I thought there would be no hope. Boy was I wrong. Awesome man that's a long time.

These crap cigalike sets that run you hundreds is what the FDA, BT, and BP are out to rope us into depending on, and it's what the war on vaping is all about for them. They want a monopoly on nicotine for the masses and the elimination of open system vaping in favor of their closed system garbage, i.e. gas station cigalikes with God only knows what in them.

I exhausted that garbage very quickly when I started vaping, when I didn't know anything at all about vaping. Inside 3 weeks I was using a mech and sub-ohm genny, which is what I still use 3 years later. Shortly after that I was doing DIY juice.

The FDA and their BT & BP cronies don't like that, and they really don't like you doing DIY. They want to dictate what you vape, and screw you to the wall for it. How long before you vape the same thing you got in their poisonous cigarettes and are right back where you started?

Make no mistake, that's their goal.

Hell yeah!!! You're right, for me, I was right back to smoking. I think we will win. I'm crossing all my limbs!

I started vaping in 2009. My purchase was the Joyetech 510 kit (No Box) from Cignot. It ran $35-$45, somewhere in that neighborhood. That kit was a common recommendation here for newbies at the time. I've been happily vaping away on 510 atties since, but my battery has grown up a bit over time.

It worked for me. I gave myself 10 days to transition and I've been smoke-free since.

What are you vaping with now, MagicJosh?

Well I'm a year and some change fully 100 % smoke free. I just bought the RX200S and I have a handful of isticks and sigelei mods from just the past year or so. My favorite setup would have to be the RX200s with the Vapereso RTA.

I also started with an ego kit. I still have some of the "tobacco" flavored cartridges that came with the atties in the bottom of my vapocalypse box. I gave up on those immediately and just used the atties for dripping. Does anyone else remember the diy aquarium foam or t-bag paper for those silly cartridges?

Yep, I remember that. I just used polyfill from the craft store instead. Once I bought a bag of it I had enough for 20 vapers lifetimes. I remember debridging atties too. Can't remember why we did it but I certainly remember doing it.

I started with a wretched flea market ecig called the Smart Ecig. Let us be clear, any product labeled smart is only smart for the one selling it. Below is the hardware I went through in my first 20 days of vaping.

Since then I've gone through a lot of mechs, and a lot of gennies. Currently I use only Poldiacs with DID's and Krakens on them. Those are hard to get anymore, and if the FDA has it's way they will be impossible to get. Those people are out to shut down everything vaping has become, all the hardware available to us, all our options, and make sure we can't make our own juice so they can feed us their own toxic brew of cancer inducing poison. They want to own vaping and use it to kill us while getting rich off it.

That's who they are.

Lucky U!!! Over a year ago..I went into a vape shop and asked if they sold a v2 setup . He looked at me and said here, this is better: He showed me an iStick and a Nautilus mini. Most likely this man saved my life. I then sold it on eBay and bought stronger mods since that fit my preferences better. I'm actually going to try my first Kayfun next paycheck just for that tighter more flavorful vape.

I didn't know about vaping 2 years ago. I started on Vuse (BARF). Believe it or not, there is a shop not too far from me that only sells the old style cig-a-likes with refillable cartridges. I thought they were insane until the deeming regs came out, and then I said AH HA!
Maybe they knew something I didn't, I don't know, but that sure seemed convenient for them

Yeah, it IS convenient for them. They are bending over before they need to. They see what's coming and they want to stay in business, however they can.

Well, they must be betting on the future pretty hard, because anytime I drive by it's a ghost town. I have no idea who their customers are, I've never seen them, but apparently they exist. Honestly, I wouldn't imagine them doing a whole heck of a lot more business even if the deeming went into effect as planned, but maybe they would.

I started with Krave cigalike I found in Dollar General...wasn't really good but it did get me interested. I went through the Egos and carto tanks and protanks but once I found the Kayfuns there I stopped. Thats all I have used for the last 2 years besides the couple of drippers I have. You can't beat how easy they are to rebuild and I not a slave to replacement coils that sometimes came as duds. I never liked sub ohming so the Kayfuns are perfect for me.
