Hey ECF, thank you for being here.
First of all, I won't call myself a complete noob, cuz I'm waiting for my 3rd ecig kit. I'm a very heavy smoker (50-60 cancer sticks a day). Tried to quit, several times - max. was 3 days without smoking, after that - 3 packs in 12 hours. That was few years ago & then I started to get into many alternatives, none helped. I went to a local shop one day & saw this e-cig kit that costed 50 Ls (~$100), I got interested. Before buying it, I went home & searched for all the info I could get on this topic, so.. I bought it. Was satisfying at first but after a day, there was little to no vapor at all. It used an automatic battery, that was the 1st issue. Kit contained 2 batteries, thank god, cuz one of them was faulty. It discharged in my pocked several times a week. Next issue was the atomiser & cartridges. Cartridges were so small that they contained ~3 drips of ejuice, soaked up & that was it. On the pack they said that 1 cartridge was equivalent to 20-40 cigs, so that was a big disappointment for me. After a month or two I just gave up on vaping, I was mad, disappointed & thought that it's all BS, a great way to rip people off. I'm a big extreme sports fan & smoking really kicks my health when riding bmx, for example. So, after some time, reading a bit helped me to decide what ecig should I get. Ecigs were much cheaper as well, compared to those kits that just started out selling in my country.
My second kit - Leo (alternative to eGo, I believe?) - It was much cheaper, battery was bigger, completely different atomiser, everything was different. The Leo kit contained 1 batt., 1 atty, 5 'tanks' & a charger. This tank system, if I'm not mistaking, is seen in eGo-T as well. With the Leo I was able to drop down my smoking habbits to a minimum. From 3 packs a day to 1 pack or less, that was something magical. Soon though, the atomiser died. I tried many cleaning methods but it didn't give as much vapor & taste as in the few weeks of use. I searched all over for a spare atty but no luck with that, had to order one online from whoknowswhere. Didn't do that, gave up. Again. Time later, I thought - if an ecig can help me get off analogs, then I should just find a kit that is reliable & popular, so I can get spare parts with ease.
So, after few days of learning, reading, searching, watching videos etc, this is what I ordered:

I really hope this will get me going atleast for a few months. I'm completely new to this variable voltage thingy, but I don't want to start out with basically the same kit that I used in the past. Tell me what U think!

I considered ordering 2 650mAh Twists but this will be my 1st eGo batt., so I'll try it out, if after a month or two it won't disappoint, then I'll order another Twist as a backup. If it will disappoint, then I'll just order something else. I read that kGo is a better choise, but haven't been lucky finding it. Another thing is, I need to order off shops that ships international OR Europe only. If the shop is european, then most likely it will be 30 pounds for a battery - the same battery that costs 30 bucks in the states. Everything's 50% more expensive in Europe. If I order something off a USA store, then there's no point ordering a few products cuz the shipping cost will be the same as the products. If somebody knows a good shop that ships to Europe (Latvia), post it here.

Kit looks good, but extras are a must have. You should definitely consider getting a second battery to keep in rotation and also some extra cartomizers. You don't necessarily have to buy more Vision clearomizers, though. Just get a 5-pack of regular or LR cartomizers so that you have spares. The Visions are good, but nothing lasts forever.

I had the same problems finding the KGO, but I didn't look THAT hard. That's how I ended up with the twist. Good luck in your search!

I'm more concerned about the atomizers/clearomizers/cartomizers, because -
You can buy a battery like the Provari & live with it, there are so many good mods out there & pretty easy to understand, but with vaporizers, I haven't tried any of the 'good stuff' yet. Another problem is that most reviewers, including grimmgreen, reviews mostly USA made products, am I not mistaking? Right now my view is - USA makes great stuff for vapers, but it's a pain in the a** to find/order them if one is not from the US. The cheap stuff that I can find online is mostly Chinese, for these products there are little to no reviews & no solid info. Or maybe I just need to read more, search more.

Cartomizers are disposable, right? Approx. 5 times refill & it's in the bin?
I would go for repairable/rebuildable atomizers but I don't know much about them (yet). I like more DIY stuff, for me it's better to buy spare parts that goes into a unit, not a whole unit itself.

I get more than 5 refills out of a typical cartomizer, but yes, they are designed to be disposable. I typically use a cartomizer for a couple of weeks before the flavor starts to drop off. I alternate between several PVs, though, so that lifespan is probably a little inflated. THe main thing is they're cheap enough to have a bunch around.

Rebuildables would be a great way to ensure that you always have a functioning atomizer, but so far I haven't had a great experience with them.

Rebuildables take a little practice but once you get the hang of them, there's no need to buy more than 2 attys, atleast as far as I know. I'll order one after I get used to clearomizers that I ordered already, can't wait for my kit :) could be a good month or two until it ships.
Please tell more about rebuildables if you have experience with them, I'm interested in buying one.
