My friend ordered a V2 ecig as her first one. As a veteran vaper, I have never heard of this brand. Any feedback?

thanks yall for the responses. she has sent two emails to them. dont know about a response. i just hope she didnt pay too much for them...cuz the eGo that i use is only 50-60 bucks for TWO! and no matter who i order my eGo from (suppliers all highly recommended on this forum), i never have to wait more than 4 days. i am betting that the reviews that are found online are "fake". thats why i like this forum-its REAL people writing in about their experiences. (yes i am sure there are some who are connected with suppliers, but there are LOTS of vapers on this forum)

Tell your friend to call them. I found that when I called everyday until my order said shipped, I got my orders much quicker. And, they will give you $$ credits towards your next purchase. I feel bad for her for having such a bad experience and wait time. But.....at one point or another we have ALL had to wait on an order longer than we wanted to and from companies other than V2. Albeit her wait time is getting to be excessively ridiculous. Maybe since you are a huge ego fan you should order her one for xmas??? I would love it if a friend of mine decided I really needed a REO mini for xmas......lol!!

Oh--I should mention that I waited 2 weeks for my starter kit from them. They were backordered way back in August as well. But I did like their product enough to keep ordering from them until I started to DIY my own nicjuice the end of October. :)

I ended up killing my v2 pass through and one of my v2 manual batteries using the condom carto refill because it overfills which leaks into the hole into the battery. Our other 3 batteries are still good but 2 of them never had that method used on them. There should be a disclaimer not to do that on an unsealed battery as a FYI so be sure to tell her not to do that.

I now use my Volcano Inferno all the time, gave my one remaining manual battery to my husband who has 2 others and ordered us both some Volcano Magma manual batteries because their carts are ceramic and no wool to worry about bacteria issues. I have some KR808D-1 carts coming from Totally Wicked so I can use for the v2. The v2 will probably end up as an emergency back up or a give away to a smoker or as part of my collection. I have to laugh, after YouTubeCommercial posted her Mod photos she gave permission for hubby to use on his website for a "Mod Museum" he's started. Which got me started collecting Ecigs. This is insanity LOL.

she ordered her V2 on NOVEMBER 27 and still hasnt got the order! they said it should arrive tomorrow. UNREAL. i have NEVER waited that long for any ecig product. i hope she hasnt wasted her money...wish she had listened to me...

thats absurd. i've literally had packages arrive from mainland china within 5 business days.

It seems to be a good product. I like the V2, love the passthrough, like the flavor of the carts......but it is too expensive for a kr808 and it takes FOREVER to get an actual product. I was still waiting on part of my order since October, and they offered me "in store credit". What good is that if there is NEVER anything in stock?

And they will NOT tell you they are out of something during the ordering process. They will even let you pay for express shipping when they know damn well the item is not in stock with no ETA of when it will be in stock.

Great product, that you can apparently find elsewhere. Great people in their live chat. AWFUL service. AWFUL.

+1 on all of the comments above. I am so sorry for your friend that's still waiting. I agree with whomever suggested calling them. Their number is right on their site. Tell her what we all have said here and if I were her, I would demand a full refund as nothing has shipped yet, and then send her our way.

Something in her order is unavailable so the company will try and hold out on shipping costs and wait until everything is available. They got tired of hearing from me (lol) and partially shipped my kit while waiting on backordered cartos. Never did receive them...I have my eGo now and they can keep their cartos!!!

I wish your friend luck. Keep us posted on her situation.

Tracy, I sent you a pm, but I would like to know how the ego performs vs the Kr808 (v2)...

The v2 is a 4.0-4.2 volt 200 mah battery.
The Ego is a 3.3-4.2 volt 650 mah battery.

They both put out good vapor but the time between charges is much higher with the Ego.

The v2 isn't a bad battery although sealed would be better. Unfortunately, v2 is a small company yet (in comparison to Liberty Flights which seems to have frequent shipments from China at least for the short 2 months I've been watching them). A small company is no excuse for not listing "out of stock" on their web page. No one should have to pay for something that is awaiting a shipment from China. I am waiting about a month now for a replacement battery under their 30 day guarantee (which is probably what hurt them - people ordered I bet, learned about better batteries and deals and returned their purchases under the warranty which then means the equipment cannot be resold and is a loss).

One more note - I found v2 via a very good YouTube video recommendation. Both my husband and myself quit using v2 (and he currently still uses this KR808 because he prefers the "looks like a cigarette" model at the moment).

v2 use = quitting - that's priceless.

This forum and other videos and websites have moved me on to better equipment and cheaper products but I will always be grateful that I found some video somewhere that convinced me to make that FIRST order, no matter what it was, and started me on this smokeless life. I've left my old life behind.

I am going to write a contact I have at v2 and let them know they need to makes some changes if they want to fix their reputation, which seems to be getting worse by the week. But they probably know that. Unfortunately, they don't seem to be doing anything about it.

I ran an online biz for years. Customer satisfaction along with quality and price are so important. Even back then, many years ago, the people who purchased my products were all on lists which is instant communication and word of mouth. My company grew because my reputation grew. The only reason I no longer have the company was strictly personal choice - I had grown so large I either had to get a warehouse (I was tripping over boxes of bottles, jars, herbs, soap oils, incense punk and more) and hire help or start having problems. I never let it get to that stage. Since I also worked full time and that job had health benefits and more, I made a choice.

You have to keep stock. You have to ship fast.

My last order of over priced prefilled carts from v2 was something like 40 of em. 2 refused to screw on and the fittings were different from the rest. At least 5 were little or no eliquid in them. I never reordered and never will. Fortunately I've learned now that my v2 takes a KR808-D1 cartridge - thanks to this forum. So at least the batteries that are good (since I got enough for 2 people) that are still working (2 died because of lack of proper technique on my part but the others are going strong) I can order reasonable priced blanks.

Hopefully your friend can order something else and send the order back under warranty because every day she has to wait are more days spent smoking instead of vaping. That's something money can't equal.

I placed my first e-cig order with V2. As soon as my order went through, the status went to "Awaiting Fulfillment". The PPC and car charger from my Ultimate starter kit was backordered, so they just shipped what they had in stock 4 business days later. 5 days after I got there shipment, I just told them to just send me a couple KR808 batteries and call it even.

After I got the "Awaiting Fulfillment" notice from V2, I knew I was in for a wait. At the time(Black Friday), Smoketip had a buy 1 kit get one free. Luckily I had some money to burn so I ordered the deal. My Smoketips came the following Monday!

V2 definitely has some issues and hopefully they can resolve them as timely shipping seems to be the name of the game. Their Ad campaigns(E-Cig Lady) is genius, but only hurts them more as they cannot meet the demand. Take notes from Litecig, Smoketip, FSUSA,..etc

Also, I chose Fedex 2day for my V2 order. My Smoketip order was USPS priority... Both coming from coast to coast.... Just putting that out there since urgency does not seem to apply with v2.

update: my friend finally got her ecig from V2 yesterday (was shipped with uncharged battery-something i have NEVER experienced with the MULTIPLE vendors i have ordered ecigs or ecig batteries from).........so just short of a month wait, she got her order.
she says that so far she likes it........i told her to make sure to keep the second battery charged at all times since the battery life is short compared to heavy duty models.
maybe she will be satisfied with this. i told her she can use KR808 cartridges with the V2 so that way she is not stuck using V2's prefilled cartomizers, and can use her own selection of ejuices. i hope she listens. i hope she doesnt just ignore what i am saying and order prefilled cartomizers just from V2 every time she runs out-cuz chances are, unless she can spend TONS of money, she wont be able to keep vaping supply in stock, at all times, with their long wait time for shipments.
but i have conceded.........you can bring a horse to water but ya cant make it drink......i guess i will just let her learn by trial and error in her journey into vaping...............
p.s. i just looked at that e-cig lady's "unbiased" video review of V2 and her website. this lady has obviously NEVER tried an eGo or any other style kind of ecig. and to say that its usually a 5 day wait for shipment? HA!

Haha, what gave away that e-cig lady is a V2 rep is the fact that she never inhaled the vapor from the V2's to give an illusion that there's more vapor, while she did with all the other e-cigs. Also, the call to customer service was scripted. I got duped into it, that's why I bought it. Sometimes, Google search can be your enemy.

actually.........the vapor that she "exhaled" is nowhere NEAR the plumes of vapor emitted out of an eGo type model, and many other heavy duty ecig models.
i just hate to see so many people duped.............
you are SO right about Google search being your worst enemy. i wish people would just take the time to surf ECF before making a purchase. i guess the people who do, are the ones who make the best choices. just like with buying a car or anything else. i am SO tempted to email this e-cig lady and give my two cents....but then again, you KNOW it wont do any good. i'd rather spend my time wisely and read ECF posts.
oh and one more thing.........the V2 website shows only SIX flavors that can be bought for the ecig. OMG i would be SO disappointed. i LOVE being able to shop for delicious new ejuices from the many companies out there...that is HALF the fun of it all!

the problem with these companies is that they're so desperate to make money that they lie to their customers. at least have the basic respect to say when something is out of stock, almost every other business on earth does. i'd rather see its out of stock and wait than think its on its way and twiddle my thumbs for a month.

Julie,
Just returned your pm. ;) Sorry I hadn't logged on at all yesterday and most of today, but better late than never right? I hope my answer was of some help to you. PM me anytime!~

texastumbleweed,
Well, I am happy that your friend finally got her V2 and is happy with it so far. Yes, definitely turn her on to the various sites for juices so she does not have to rely solely on V2 for cartos. She's lucky to have a friend like you who knows their stuff and can share the wealth of knowledge firsthand. How long till you think she'll get an eGo or Riva??? =)

I initially ordered a v2 Cig Economy Kit (1 battery, USB charger, Wall plug, 10 cartos), a second battery, and 2 variety pack of their cartos. The auto batteries I ordered were out of stock and they didn't email me to let me know until 5 days after I placed the order. I chatted with one of their reps and he told me the manual batteries are "way cooler" and he could substitute them for the auto batteries, so my order would ship ASAP. I figured what the hell and accepted the substitute. Two weeks later my order arrived. First impression was that it's a solid kit. The batteries look great and the buttons are different than standard KR808D-1 buttons. They're more like the buttons on a 510 battery and they're black instead of the brown/gold color that is standard. I was also happy that I could get black batteries with red LEDs because at the time I was more concerned with looking like I was actually smoking instead of using a PV.

Now for the kicker, of the 25 cartos that I ordered 15 were DOA. Of the 10 that worked 3 only worked on one of the batteries while the remaining 7 worked on both. They run really hot, I haven't ever heard a carto crackle like those did. Of the flavors I was able to try because of the DOA cartos, the good flavors (cherry, peppermint, cowboy, and coffee) were bland at best. The bad flavors were absolutely horrible, especially their congress cartos, they tasted like I was licking and ash tray. I could have sworn they simply mixed PG with some kind of smoke flavored juice and called it a day. And the vanilla tasted *exactly* like a glade air freshener smells. Long and short, I returned the kit. Ate the cost of the cartos even though the majority of them were DOA and kept one of the batteries because I really liked the feel of the button and plus I got it on sale for like $15, which at the time I thought it was a good deal.

Unfortunately I also tried eSmoke.net & Safer Cig before I was tuned onto the term vaping. Don't get me started on eSmoke.net, the term burning barbie dolls [borrowed from RavenVapes5v510] totally sums up their cartos. They have a nice PCC though. The real problem with Google searches is that unless you search for "vaping" you're not going to turn up any really helpful info, most noobs search for "electronic cigarette" or "digital cigarette" since those are the terms used on the news.

Here are the 2 sites that pointed me to the three winners ...
