Day 3 with the Slim and the i3...

The i3 atomizers are still kicking away... They ROCK... Anyone who has not tried these yet, has to!!!!

I am however having a slight issue with the device consistently firing (use error perhaps).. At times when I depress the end button I do not get a connection... Anyone else getting this or is it just me or is it possible user error?

The device is gorgeous... I baby my toys and clean it every night, including the threads...

Battery life is on par with what I'd expect from a 10440 battery so no complaints there...

Overall I am still very pleased with it...

Kris

Kris, please take a look on the base of the button. Maybe it needs cleaning. Rob had them for some days there and brass maybe got a little "dirty". Sand it a little with a very fine sandpaper and it will be more than ok.:)
I am happy that you are going very good with Slim. Keep vaping friend!!

Bummer.... My 1st i3 atomizer died and early death... Lasted 3-days... I will try boiling it to see if I can bring it back to life but I think it's time has come....

I hope the others last longer as 3-days is very short and these are more expensive...

Other than the early death of the i3, I am still getting miss fires every now and then but I have not tried the sandpaper trick yet...

My 2 i6 are still with me already the double of time than other atomizers I used in past. I have also notice that some of them die sooner than I expect, as my customers tells me. There are more than 500 iatties out there and I have very few complains.
Of course I havent stop thinking of new ways for atomizers so I believe that I will have even better results.
If you search you find:):):):)

No worries.... It's not a big deal... I have plenty of *other* atomizers that only lasted a few puffs and went poof....

I love the i3 atomizers.... It's a 510 disguised as a 901...

Boiled it, giving it a sonic bath now in the hopes it can be revived... If not, no worries....

Still loving the Slim and now I can't wait to get my hands on that Slim AFS....

Thanks pal! I just want to make the almost immortal atomizer. I am still trying on many levels on e-cigs and this is a priority for me. Maybe I have to try harder.

Thanks... I don't have any juice on the center pin or the threads... I do a complete cleaning and wipe down every night as well...

Kris

You may want to check the negative end switch connector rod as it may have come a bit loose. All the have to do is tighten it with a needlenose plyers. And also u may want to file the connector ends where the negative and positive touch the battery. Here is a pic below. I had mine come loose a while back and started not to fire sometimes but easy answer was just to tighten it and never came loose again. It was a no problem fix. Hope this helps some....

I think that did the trick! Mine was very, very loose and I could tighten it with my finger...

Appears to be firing all the time now....

I threaded pieces with my fingers only so you can unthreaded it easily but pliers are a better solution to avoid easy unthreading. Dont overtight it, a small strength is enough Raq.:):)

I spoke to soon... This did fix the issue when using my SLB 901;s but I now am thinking I got a bad batch of i3 atomizers....

Blew the 1st i3 after 3 days... Put a regular SLB on it and it was working ok.... It was working so well with the SLB 901 I decided to put an i3 atomizer back on it... One drag and poof..... Atomizer two bites the dust...

Put the SLB 901 back on it and used it the rest of the night without issue... Woke up this morning and put another i3 atomizer on it... Two puffs and poof.... It's dead as well....

Did I get a bad batch or something.... I have blew 3 of these at $13 each in the last 3 days... 2 of them lasted a combined total of 3 puffs...

I am afraid to use the rest as I only have 2 left and the one SLB...

Does VK cover the atomizers if they blow after a few puffs?

Are you sure that they are dead Raq? Do you have an ohm meter to meassure the resistance?

I am pretty sure they are dead... I don't have an ohm meter but will go pick one up... If I remove the atty and place my tongue there, then activate the switch, I get a tingle so I know it's getting power to the atty...

I just put another i3 on it and it made it past the 1st few puffs... Keeping fingers crossed..

If it's not the atty, what else could be causing this behavior???

Thanks
