I didn't want to carry a big case with everything that I need so I made a little case to hold the Ego-T alone. Before this I carried it in my shirt pocket and got some juice on my shirt so I wanted something that would save my shirts. I keep a bigger case in my car when I'm out so I still have everything I need nearby. Here's what I did....no rocket science, I just figured I would share this.

Took a cigar tube from my neighbor....this one was the perfect size.

Then I found some scrap leather that I had laying around.

I cut it a little wider than I needed so it would overlap.

Inserted it into the tube.

Now I was concerned that when I dropped the PV into the tube it would bang the bottom and get damaged so I took a piece of leather and rolled it up real tight and took....(DON'T LAUGH....IT WORKED)....a tampon tube and cut it to hold the rolled up leather piece. By the way, I robbed it from my wifes bathroom without her knowing, I was too embarrassed to ask for it.
Dropped that in the bottom of the tube.

Slide in the Ego and it's all done. It doesn't bang around...it's loose enough that it slides right out and I don't have to worry about it leaking on my shirts.....which only happens by the way when I ape it down to the last drop....I gotta try to refill it or replace it before it gets too low. And it won't get all scratched up.....it's protected on all sides. I have another cigar tube I bought on bay with a little shirt clip and it's all stainless steel......I'l post pics of that one when I finish it, It'll be here in a few days.

Hope this helps.

Brilliant idea! I knew I should have kept some of my old tubes... LOL!

Which type of tubes are you referring to since he did mention he used (2) different tubes to make this?:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Great idea of using the cigar tubes, the leather is a great touch. I cut a piece of foam and put in the bottum of my cheater glasses tube to cushion the end a bit.
