My iClear 16 guzzles juice. Is this normal?

Hello, everyone. I'm new here and relatively new to vaping (I've been at it for about two months). I apologize if these questions are redundant, but I couldn't find any posts about them. I just bought an Innokin iTaste VV V3 with iClear 16 clearomizers. Previous to that I was using a Vapor Zeus--a 5-volt battery--and was going through less than 3 ml of juice a day. With my iTaste--set to 8.0 watts--and iClear, I go through 1.6 ml of 70:30 PG-VG juice every two or three hours--or about every 90 puffs (at about two seconds each). There has only been minor leaking (through the mouthpiece), which it seems I've resolved. Is this rate of juice consumption normal for the iClears? If so, what are some more efficient alternatives to the iClear? I'd like to keep refills down to one or two a day, if at all possible.

I use iclear 16's as well and have noticed that they do destroy juice lol but I've heard that all iclear's use juice like crazy. You've also got to take into acc that it only holds 1.6ml so it isn't all that much to begin with. As far as alternatives to the iclear's are you referring to other clearomizers? If so do you prefer top coils or bottom coils?

I really like bcc's like the Kanger Evod, T3S, Protank etc. They're really about all I use, none of them seem to really go through juice. Of course with bottom coils your usually gonna get a little cooler vape than on a top coil (iclear's), so you can check those out if they look that something you'd be interested in. Hopefully someone will come along to recommend some top coils :p

If your tank goes through the juice, it's a sign that you actually have a really well-built, working device (unless the taste is awful). A good tank will devour juice like it's nothing, and provide a rich full taste. If it were to wick any less than what it's doing, you'll get a burnt, hazy taste in the matter of minutes - the quality of CE4's and CE5's use much less juice, and they all taste like burnt .... to me. If you're getting a bit of condensation in the tank, it's also a sign that air pressure is doing it's job, and that the coil is doing a good job of vaporizing all aspects of the juice. Unless it's a chemical-plastic condensation of coarse.

I had some really good luck with a CE4 one day that didn't taste awful, and it used up a whole tank of juice in the matter of just maybe an hour or two or so of light vaping. That type of wicking is very healthy on the devices and will give you the best vape, believe it or not. But think of it this way: if you sat down constantly puffed on a cigarette like many vapers do their devices, you'll go through a pack in probably a couple hours. Most juices are around $5 for 10ml or less. It still can be a better deal than cigarettes.

Just to add, just mentioned this in another thread, but there's so much wick in the iclear 16 that I reckon you only get about 1ml of juice in them, so it seems you are using more than you actually are.

Exactly, there's alot of wicks in the iclears so they're going to absorb quite a bit of the liquid in the tank.
