My grandson got a istick 40 4 years ago and used it for 2 years. It fell out of his pocket while he was riding his bicycle several times. Then he gave it to me and I've been using it ever since. It's pretty beat up looking but still works fine.

During stocking up times I only got mods with replaceable batteries. But I really like the T40. It seems pretty tough and reliable. Lately I've been thinking of getting a couple more.

That's a decent sale price at MFS. I didn't want 40W ones myself, but was just mentioning that the place I knew of that did used to have them...was sold out recently. It was RMV! He still has a great deal on the Pico 75W mods at just $22.40, after the 30% discount, and with Free S/H, if anyone's looking for some. When I've run out of the 30W and 50W iSticks from my stash, more local vaping newbies have chosen to go with the 75W Picos that I've gotten from him.
My Primo Fit is about the same as the Pico. I prefer it to the isticks because it's short and stout. Just doesn't fall over as easy. Button is squeeze friendly also. Supposedly bigger battery, and does have a very nice 2A charger that blows away my isticks. My 30 was my fav with that lip on the top.

I thought about a mod that you could replace the battery, but if eleaf batteries last this long, why? The Pico is to big for work stealth vaping imo.
During my searching I almost fell for a pod because of how stealthy they are. And the Coolfire Ace by Innokin looks good and small.
I actually have a 30w which is even older than the 40w I'm saying farewell to. So I just ordered four new 30w isticks from RockyMountain. 30w have a lip on the top that protects the button.

Thanks for all the ideas and happy new years

I got a 30 and a 40 from my grandson a couple of years ago, both already well used. The 40 is still going. The 510 on the 30 got very loose. Kept it going for a while with an adaptor, but in the end it got so loose I could drop a mod straight in without even turning it.

I read somewhere that the 40 was the first model with a SS 510, and the 30 was aluminum. But later I read they were both SS. Did you have any problems with the 510 getting loose?

I've got 2 TC40's as well that I got 3yrs ago. There battery life has decreased but they are still usable for a couple of hours of vaping. I never had an issue with the 510 getting loose...ever!
I just got some replacements though...
    1 x Authentic Wismec CB-60 60W 2300mAh Box Mod - Silver = $15.99
    1 x Authentic Wismec Reuleaux RXmini 80W Box Mod - Grey = $22.88
at CigaBought. Shipping was $6 to Japan.
I am wondering about the reliability about Wismec compared to Eleaf.

When the TC40's die, I will try replacing the battery or make a wood box for the chip, add a 510 & 30Q 18650.

No, no problems getting loose. I heard there's many counterfeits on ebay. Did you buy it there?

Four years is a pretty good run for such an inexpensive device. I purchased an iStick 30w back in the fall of 2017 - shortly after starting vaping. I came to enjoy it more and more and, in the spring of 2018, purchased two more from ebay. My original iStick succumbed a few months later because of the so-called 'protection fault'. My two newer istick 30w's died shortly thereafter - neither would hold a charge. Maybe they were clones. The aspire zelos that I bought at the same time as the original iStick 30w is still going strong - IMOP it is a great device coupled with a zenith tank. My experience with the nautilus tank the zelos came with was horrible.

I have four iStick 10w's that have been very reliable. They leave the house with me every workday.

My tanks or drippers never leak...
except if I lay them down with the airflow open
It was back in 2014/15 when I first tried them and TBH i can't remember the circumstances but IMO that defeats the purpose of having a tank if you cant lie it down, throw it in a bag etc. YMMV ;)
