But, I am vaping with a Cubica, something i got from China for like 48 bucks, and it came last week. My Halo Triton should be in the mail in the next couple days.

So I am curious as this is my first time really vaping. It feels like there is something missing from the real cigs.. I think it is throat hit... kinda. I have been able to not smoke as much tonight. I also expected to have more flavor.

I am smoking killer juice. The Flavor is a lot more subtle than I expected and there is a little bit of feeling like something is missing. Not the right type of throat hit...

I know its not smoking, But I am also wondering how much of this is model Specific...?

Even in the couple analoges Ive had tonight, they have Not given me as much nicotine. .... but i am wondering is this alot to do with model as well, hardware? or when I get my Triton, Will it get more... uhm... of a close match to smoking. and will I taste it more, or is it usually only pretty subtle? And How do I get more throat hit?

I am unsing killer juice... Ive tried Doctor pepper, and RY4 and now smoking juicy fruit.. Smelled up my whole house, so I imagined it having a bit more flavor... I mean... its good, just subtle...

(On a side note, Though, I do keep licking my lips expecting to taste juicy fruit to no avail... hahaha)

Anyways help... just wanna better idea on hardware/ juices and what is up to what....

The better the equipment, the better the flavor and quality of the hit you get. If you are using an e-cigarette that resembles a regular cigarette, there isn't a lot of power there. The atomizer takes longer to heat up, and doesn't heat up as much. This results in lighter flavor and throat hit. The Halo Triton should be an improvement from those little "cigalikes" for sure.

I know exactly what you mean. Here's what helped me:

1. Using a high VG liquid. For me at least, VG gives that feeling of "lung presence" - i.e. the feeling there is something IN your lungs, more like smoke does.

2. The head you use will make a huge difference in the flavor, as well as the coil and wick you use. Try a BCC head as well, you might like them better.

3. Still, even with a perfect setup, it's not exactly like smoking. It's different. Takes a little getting used to. It's close enough that I've found it to be a great alternative to smoking, but it's not an exact match to the sensation.

I like Killer Juice for what it is (actually prefer it to MBV) but it is milder on the flavor side. Your new device will help, but you will probably need to find a stronger flavored juice if that is what you desire. As far as throat hit, you haven't said what mg of nicotine you are using. That can make a HUGE difference in throat hit, and could also be part of the problem.

Keep it up, keep experimenting. It is not exactly the same, but I found when I was looking to quit that the idea that I could inhale and blow out a smoke stream (and was still able to blow smoke rings) made all the difference (something that I couldn't do with the "cig a like" ecigs).

Good luck.

I feel I am getting enough nic. I am at 1.2 mg and .6mg, some of each. My analog smokes are 0.1
So super lights I guess.
My e cig looks more like an evod or something. Just a bit hard getting used to. I plan on smoking 1 more analog before bed now, so it means I only smoked 4 in 6 hours. I normally am double that. So I am.able to go longer without one. Just......there's that feeling.... I wanna quit...tho....

I feel I am stuck in between. Vaping doesnt have it all, but it tastes better than analogs. I guess I am good though. This morning I had 2 before work. Usually i have at least 4 in the hour I lie in bed before getting up...
I still Open my window when vaping. Vaping still seems like smoking to me.....

One thing I found that made a huge difference was finding a good cinnamon/menthol blend. I've heard from other people who can stand menthols, that it works a lot better. I think because 'cold' sensation from the menthol makes it feel like you're actually vaping something.

If you like cloves, a copy of a clove analog, like Aroma's Djarum might also be a help.

But pretty much anything I've found that's very high in volatile aromatics tends to hit a lot harder overall, I think because of the way they react physiologically with mucus membranes.
