I cant seem to hit enter to start a new sentence or paragraph. It just runs all the text together which drives me insane. Is anybody else having this problem?
Yes, that happens to me on this forum sometimes too. Very aggravating. It usually happens when I start a new thread but not when I'm replying to a thread.
I usually post, then immediately go back and 'edit' the post. Your 'enter' key will work when you edit. (No, I don't know why.)
No problems here.
See?
Enter works.
If it's a laptop or an IBM style 101+ key keyboard, turn it upside down and gently shake it.
Have a towel or something handy, unless you want to clean up all the funk that falls out.
I used to smoke at the computer when I was single. When I did that it was crazy.

WYSIWYG mode doesn't work so well. Switch the editor to source mode using the A/ A button in the top left corner of the editor (Advanced Editor).
Back in the day of electro-mechanical hard drives (with sizes ranging all the way up to 10MB), smoke tar was instant death for the IBM PC.
You've lost me there completely. I am not very PC savvy.
Well. If we are going into pre-history lessons here, I still use IBM Model M "Clicky" keyboards. One has a 1988 DOB sticker.
Not the keyboard, the site.
My first post did that and then some. Edited it 1/2 dozen times in Advanced mode, each time a failed attempt.

I still have a stack of 5-1/2" floppy disks and a genuine Hayes 2400 baud modem. Just in case a Zombie Apocalypse takes out the Internet and I need to get my old FidoNet BBS back online. The ECF must live and if it takes two or three days to read and respond to messages, well...
Nice!
My wireless keyboard and mouse are just about 10 years old. I'd upgrade, but I HATE the feel of the keys on all of the newer keyboards.
