I have a wonderful landlord...I believe he is one of the last few who has allowed smoking in his apartments....so for the past 4 years of my tenancy I have been allowed to smoke in my apartment and with the cold winters in Maine that is a blessing! Well that was until a new neighbor moved in. The neighbor said that she could smell smoke from my apartment in her closet (which is quite possible since the closet is located right next to my living room and that is where I smoked the most). I would argue it is just a closet but she just became a foster mom and this was the closet in her new foster child room is. She explained that was afraid the casemanager might smell it. So I agreed to smoke elsewhere. As a creature of habit this really threw a monkey wrench in my morning routine (couch, computer, coffee, morning news, butts). The PV has allowed me to continue on my morning routine. I showed the pv the landlord and he thought it was great, saying "That's cool.. it doesn't smell at all." and he's right since July I haven't smoked an analog, my apartment is not smelling like smoke, the dust/residue from smoking is gone. So the way I look at it is that vaping has made me a better neighbor and tenant! :)

Neither here nor there
That's great! I haven't smoked inside my domicile since college days, but I can say I'm no longer embarrased to have a passenger in my car because of the smoke smell. I used nok-out, and since I've been vaping only, it smells clean.

Edited to add: vaping-only in the car, still have an occasional analog outside at home. Booo!

After the car is clean, you should ask the landloard for a rent reduction:thumbs:

He wanted to know if I had saved money... Like we know start up can be pricey but overall yes it a lot cheaper in the long run. He liked the sound of that.. :) I remember having a discussion with him about people not having money for the rent...but somehow have money for butts and booze. I'm one of the good tenants who pays on time. It's good to hear to he is all for it. :)
