24mg is too much even for the beginning. Nicotine - poison in any case. This is a very large dose.
I began with 18mg and had problems with overdose.

Sorry to disagree but about all I vape is 18mg and 24mg. Mostly 24mg. The 18mg didn't cure the nic craving. I've been vaping for less than a month. It just depends on what your analog habit was.

As tnt56 said, I disagree also. It really is an individual thing. I tried the 18mg to start, didn't quite work for me. Luckily I read through these threads and had prepared beforehand that I might need stronger, so I also had ordered 24mg samples. I am now vaping 24mg almost exclusively. The best advice I could give anyone starting out, buy several levels until you find what satisfies that devil. Hopefully I will be able to drop down my nic intake. For now, the 24mg is working.

I was a 1 PAD smoker and began on 36 without issue. Vaping is all so very personal and most of us have found our "sweet spot" through trial and error. Also have friends that began on 12 mg. I just listen to what my body is telling me. Now vaping on 2 mg and awhile ago, just for the fun of it, I vaped some old 24 mg and just about passed out

I started at 18mg, now I can't stand it. Feels like swallowing sand.

I'm now down to 9mg

Hi Cignada, one thing I didn't see you mention, though someone else slightly alluded to it, was the PG/VG ratio you are using. Someone said it could be because of VG. However, it could also be because of PG. What ratio are you using in your current mix? Generally nicotine overdose would leave you with headache/lightheadedness and nausea. Hard coughing and heavy lungs can be caused by too high PG in the mix, greasy lung can be caused by too high VG in the mix. Of course every individual will have variations on a theme of that. So let us know. All the best

Not really correct. I'm on a blend of 12 (evenings) so I can sleep better to 36 with high WTA (that equates to the "must have cigarette or will kill someone" moments).

I think Nic levels is relative to each individuals tolerance effected by many factors.

BWB Casablanca is the bomb...........Their 555 Exotic is right there with it. They Are Both blends 70pg/30vg.

I smoked Marlboro reds for 45 years. My BWB is 18mg and I can't chain vape it for long without feeling ill. Most of my other flavors are 11-12mg and 50/50 mix.

First... What is Greasy Lung? That does NOT sound pleasant!

Also, for me... 24mg isn't enough. I've cut down from a pack a day to about three MUST HAVE smokes a day, but without those smokes, I'm likely to kill someone. In an effort to drop cigs altogether, I have some 36mg juice on it's way. So to echo others, Nic content is certainly an individual thing. Fingers crossed 36 works for me because I can't safely go higher!

lol, no I doubt it is, I guess that some people with VG sensitivity sorta ...well....let's just say that Mucinex would probably help them. I suspect its a combo of not enough water and just a feeling or descriptive that people use. For myself, I prefer 100% VG because too much PG make me hack and cough so loud, the cops come round issuing me a fine for setting off firecrackers.

Exactly. And in all fairness, perelesnik most definitely needed to reduce his nicotine levels if it impacted him that badly. But for sure, 18, 24, 30 and 36 are not at skull and crossbones levels either. I generally recommend buying a small bottle of 12, plus an 18 and a 24 to start and see where you land. If your heart starts pounding or you get a headache/nausea et al, then lay off vaping for a while and strongly consider reducing the nicotine level.

So very glad to hear things are looking up. "If" you find you're having further issues with your juice re: side effects you may want to check out Virgin Vapor an incredible vendor that has helped many with juice issues via custom juice mixes.
Posts like this make my day and thanks very much for posting this...you'd be surprised at how many vapers with the same issues are watching this thread

Hi All Thanks for all your help...My lungs are feeling much better. I cut down the Casablanca with some nicely steeped 12mg and have added a liter of water to my daily liquid intake.... I love this place.....

Casablanca is I beleive either a 80pg/20vg blend or a 70pg/30vg blend. I've been vaping for over 2 years most often using either 80pg/20vg or 70pg/30vg juice and just recently realized that the heavy chest I've been feeling lately has been caused by the high amount of PG in my juice. Try some high VG juice (30pg/70vg or higher vg and see if the high pg content you've been vaping is causing your lungs to hurt. And by all means no matter what mix of pg and vg you are vaping drink a LOT of water.

I mix my own and use some pre-mixed and i've tried just about every ratio of PG/VG. High VG mixes dehydrate me much more and give me a heavy feeling like having cold or chest infection. High PG mixes give me a dry burning type sensation to lungs and also dehydrate me a little. Mixing about 70/30 PG/VG is best for me personally and of course drinking plenty of water but I still feel the effects a little bit, some more than others if I vape hard.
I tried a 36mg mix for one day and that night couldn't sleep, my head was racing and some palpitations which wasn't nice so quickly dropped down to 18mg. That is too high for me now and i'm down to 12 mg which is about right for me but I still have a go on 18mg from time to time.

interesting to read the heavy lungs feeling and responses as i have recently experienced same, so its not down to exercise then, its my mix thats causing it by the sound of it. i do find that the higher the PG content the more i hack though, so difficult one, have also cut the nic out as much as possible but still have a psycy need to have a cart with a nic mix on my person ... lol its all very individual me thinks
