so I got bored last night and was brainstorming how it is possible to make wicking better in a genesis. something simple yet effective. naturally I'm a dripper because I love the flavor and ease of dripping. so I thought about using cotton as my wick. but I didn't want to have to replace the wick all the time whenever it was burnt out so I can get a new clean flavor. so I decided on this monster which I am calling "cotton brain".

so the idea is, since this is a cotton wick it has a chance to burn, fairly easy at that. so if ever a burn does happen, you just pull through a new section of cotton and cut off the old. simple. here's a picture of my cotton after an hour of kinda chain vaping it. enjoy!

Refitting one of my protanks as I type. That will be perfect for a day on the go, solve the burnt wick trouble in a matter of seconds, but wrapping up enough of my cheesecloth wicks to do it is going to take a few minutes. 1..2...3....... 19.....25....29... (counting stands LOL.) Now this one goes around those like so and, this end goes in there... hmm, good now do that again. Yep this will take a while but, save loads of time and burnt wick trouble later.

Thank you. :)

I don't get why people wrap an extra strand around the bundle, I just get my bundle of strands together and double it over then pull it through my coil, takes half as many strands and doesn't require the added wrapping step. Although I could see how making a 12 inch long wick of strands would take a lil effort.

Damn. I think my hatred for genesis and tanks has been alleviated. I love how it is like those oil lanterns with the long intestine wick. I like how I just have to pull up and snip, to remove the burned area. I love cotton.

I just stuff my mod and let it bounce in my bag. Will this method leak when put on its side?
Have you tried this method with a micro-coil?

BTW, I think this should be in the rebuildable section.

In theory, it shouldn't leak unless you over fill the tank. but if you just use enough to keep all the wick wet, then it shouldn't leak. I'm trying this today.
