I've been looking for a new mod. I have been using an Ego C Twist and a Vamo V3 since last Summer. The buttons on the Vamo are starting to wear out but it does still work.

Nothing has really got me excited enough to buy anything until I discovered the Innokin Coolfire 2 VW 18350 mod.

I checked out a review at Todd's ecig reviews on youtube and it seemed like a great product. What interested me was the looks (looks like a hand gernade), its simple to use and due to the shape, it has great ergonomics.

I just got it in the mail today. Wow, this little mod is solid and heavy for its size. You could probably use it as a weapon. It has a ring to adjust the wattage. 7.0-12.5 watts in odd increments. 7.0,8.0,8.5,9.0,9.5,10.5,11,12,12.5 watts.

The dial has indents that click at each setting. Feels very solid. And the fire button also has a nice click and feels solid unlike the Vamo buttons. I also has a floating center pin which is nice.

Three clicks to turn on and off. Button changes colors to show you battery remaining.

It has Ego and 510 threads. I tired my Protank 2, T3s and Fogger V3. All worked great on this.

The Coolfire 2 comes with an Iclear 30b bottom dual coil clearo. It seems ok, vapes like my Protank 2. Seems to plug up like the Protank 2. And it has a plastic tank which I'm not fond of. All tanks should be pyrex IMO.

So far, I love it. I like the ergonomics the best. Feels just perfect in my hand. Just don't try to bring it on an airplane lol.

I like mine as well, had it about a week now. It feels great to hold (like you said, great ergonomics), and the clicky VW dial is nice. I also like the removable beauty ring...makes cleaning a lot easier.

The only thing I don't like is the tension on the bottom cap - I find the cap pretty hard to screw in sometimes, and it seems pretty rough on the threading when unscrewing, even when applying pressure.

Take that onto an airplane...

Have fun not getting on your flight ^^
I have, ahem, heard that even putting one in your checked baggage is a bad idea, ahem. If you enjoy getting that page "attention passengers on board the plane would passenger ********** please come to the front of the plane" at which time your met by 2 TSA agents and 2 local police officers with lots of questions about your checked bag then go ahead and throw one in your suitcase. Of course as long as there's no battery in it (in case your wondering its illegal to check Li batteries but it is legal to carry them on board) then there's nothing against having it in your checked baggage but you will probably need to explain it.

I normally don't have to deal with security as my company has its own planes but a few weeks ago I flew back to Kansas on a walk up ticket (no advanced purchase) one way which automatically raises red flags then when my checked bag went through the scanner it got pulled for secondary and so did I. In the end I still made my flight, one of the local PD officers was a vaper and although he had never seen the CF2 he knew what it was. I was cautioned about having it in my bag and allowed to go on. The only bad part of the whole ordeal, it was Southwest so I was in group A position 3 so I had a perfect window seat right at the front of the plane but by the time security got done the only seat left was a middle seat in the last row.

Oh and FWIW I love my CF2, use it with Boge SR cartos and an IBT tank every day. I do have to carry a spare 18350 but otherwise it rocks.

Try a drop of fishing reel oil on the threads, that's what I did with mine and makes the threads a lot smoother, not precision stainless smooth but it doesn't feel like your cutting new threads with a dull tap any more.

Yeah, cheers for putting it up. You made some great points about ergonomics; I've had mine for around 3 weeks and it just sits in the hand so perfectly, and with a nice heft to it. My only real issues I've had with it is that if even a trace of liquid gets in into the button, it'll stick in: it's not as springy as say an Evods for example. Also, replacing the battery compartment is pretty tricky - you have to press it in quite hard while screwing it in, and I still haven't quite got the hang of it. Also, it tends to attract quite a lot of dust, but that's easily taken care of- I use a dry paintbrush myself. But these are pretty minor things; overall I LOVE this APV .

One other great thing about the new bottom coil innokin tanks is the wicks just seem to last forever-I only had to replace one the other day after 3 weeks of moderate use. I'm actually getting the Coolfire 1 this week on the strength of the "frag grenade"-so I can have the matching set.

catalinaflyer, I don't have any fishing reel oil to hand, but do you think a small amount of wd40 would do the trick?
