Vapemail!!! I was expecting this to come on monday along side the Moon Mountain Vapors order I placed. Today my Smoktech SID came with my 2 18650's, charger, and EVOD's. This thing is fantastic! Much improvement over the twists I've been using. I got the white one and it looks so good with the green EVOD. Just thought I would share my excitement with some folks who could appreciate it. :toast:

The SiD was my first mod two or three weeks ago. It is running strong! The one button click through is a "bit" of a hassle but not bad and you really get used to is. A little tricky when driving.. I probably shouldn't be messing with it when driving but I do since I have a little highway commute to work. I've dropped it off my lap getting out of the car twice I believe and you can't even tell. When I was shopping for a mod I wanted #1 durability and #2 versatility and this guy seems to have what I was looking for and for the right price. From what everyone has told me at vape shops and elsewhere, you can't go wrong with SiD.

lPics?.... I would love to but I am a noob, I'll try to update this thread in the am when I'm soberer. Any links or tips are much appreciated.

As far as my experience so far, I am vaping a cinnamon roll juice from a local B&M (not sure of the ratios other than 18mg nic) at 7.5 watts with 2.5ohm coils and the taste/ throat hit is stellar compared to what I am used to. It will be nice to see what the difference is with some quality liquid is come monday. The LCD interface is really easy to navigate although in brighter sunlight and such, not very easy to see/read. Not much of an issue though since I plan to set it and forget it other than turning it off to put in my pocket.

Same here with the durability. This thing feels really solid, and the reviews I watched (Pbusardo and GrimmGreen) said other than the "grinding" threads they would recommend it. I don't see much of an issue with the threads on this white one, plus with the larger battery I won't be unscrewing it as often as my twists.

Here you go, a newbie's first pic of his first real mod. Quality sucks because I used my face cam on the laptop (need to charge my Nikon one of these days ;) )

Also- I cleaned the Evod and added in 'Very Berry' juice from Simply Vapors here in MN and I'm loving that too after 3 weeks of steeping.

I'm seriously looking into a SID after using various versions of EGOs and a couple DIY mods for over 3 years. I probably spend more replacing EGOs in a year that a SID costs. You say it's working out well for you, so I have a couple questions: are you using the VV or VW setting? Have you tried both and if so, which setting seems best for you?

I've been dabbling with both. I currently have two liquids that I'm using with identical evods (2.5 ohm)

In vv mode my sweet spot is about 3.6 with the light color (moon mountain tranquility trauma) and 3.9 with the medium-dark (moon mountain solar flare)

In wattage mode both work great at 6.5 volts

If you are considering the SiD you really cant go wrong, however I don't have anything other than vv twists to compare to. But for the price I paid ($49.99 @ PBDragon LLC) I wouldn't trade it for anything. So far I have zero complaints on any aspect of this mod. With an imr18650 2000mah battery I am getting 1-1/2 to 2 days of solid vape time, and I was a very heavy smoker.

Good Luck JoeM Hope I was able to help.

I have the same thing, minus the Evod, coming on Saturday, I'm anxious for it to get here too. It will be my first mod as well. Only thing that confuses me is the fact that I made two orders this week, this one on Tuesday coming from NC only i state away, and one on Wednesday coming from Oregon, nearly the other side of the earth. Both 2 day priority mail and shipped the same day ordered, the first one, one state away has a delivery date of 9/21 and the second one 9/20. Explain to me how that works, does USPS have to route the close one through Australia or something while it does a straight quick one from the farther one?. lol And people wonder why they are in financial trouble.

Wow yeah that seems a bit odd. Although I ordered a vv 3.0 from fasttech on the 3rd and received it yesterday (8-10 shipping my behind) but ordered a few juices from florida and my SiD from just 15 miles away and they both showed up a business day apart (ordered on thurs, got SiD saturday and juice monday). The usps is like any other gov't organization/union, slow as molasses and always in need of improvement. I mean seriously, who even mails letters anymore? At 30+ cents a stamp and god knows how long it will take to get there, you could send thousands of FREE emails in the same amount of time. /rant

Hope you enjoy your SiD as much as I have!

I hope I do too, I got it primarily because I wanted something with replaceable batteries that was vw. I have an itazte vv v3 and love it.

UPS really isn't much better, I've ordered things from Amazon and have had them ship out of Chattanooga to Knoxville and back to Chattanooga before coming here, that means they have gone right past Dayton twice before coming here. Seems like a huge waste of fuel to me, not to speak of man hours.

I've had my SID for...a little over a month, I guess. Works great, I ended up using it more than my MVP, which really surprised me. Been dropped more than a few times, still firing great. Only issue I have had is once in a great while (probably three times since I've purchased it) the screen will go blank. If I take out the battery and put it back in, comes right back, so no big deal, but still. Thought I would mention it. I use it mostly with cartotanks (Boge prepunched in VVV tanks) and it just vapes up a storm.
