for 90% of us vapors this is not a problem.i haven't even met a so called cloud chaser yet.
i frequent bars where vaping is allowed.i am usually the only vapor there most times.
i use juice i know will not have a strong smell with it.haven't had a problem.
i also stealth vape in non-smoking areas, except restaurants.i do it on the bus,at the grocery store, home depot, even in the check out line.i am pretty slick at it.no one has the slightest idea i'm doing it,and what they dont knowwont hurt them.
outside i consider fair game in most cases.if i am waiting at the bus stop i just move down wind and give people a little space.they do notice and appreciate that.even when i was smoking analogs.at an outdoor event with a lot of people exspecialy wherehere will be a lot of children the use of discretion is advised.either be stealthy or move off to a fairly open space and abide.people do notice and appreciate your consideration.
having said that the ones that go out of their way to rag on you when your indoors at a place that allows vaping or outdoors in general are just plain jerks.the only reason for this type of behavior is because society has taught them it is ok to be morally superior
(by that i mean politically correct)and they think its perfectly fine to wag their fingers at you in shame.
funny thing is they never bother those 2 big biker dudes with the tattoo's at the end of the bar using those inokin light saber mods.
a little discretion and consideration of decorum is all that should be necessary.

And they plainly see in your hand what quite obviously isn't a cigarette and decide to come after you anyway, just because they can and because they are just nasty people full of hate and need to bash someone and you are as good a target as a smoker in their eyes.

I don't see a problem with that, I don't expect non-smokers to know what it is. And it does look like smoke so it's normal that some of them react to it.

I don't expect non-smokers to know the ins-and-outs of vaping any more than I expected Tipper Gore to "get" Frank Zappa back in '86.

I quite agree with this, however there are people out there who, if I were standing in the middle of a ten acre field vaping unflavored zero nic juice would march right out there and go into fake coughing and sneezing fits while bashing me all up and down. For them decorum and consideration are only slight obstacles they can safely ignore, unless you are a big biker dude...then they keep their mouths shut.

Everything you like and do is ok up to the point in which you partake and enjoy but anything above and beyond is a problem and must be addressed.

Got it:?:

I dunno?? Not really.

I like and enjoy vaping, so I vape.

I like and enjoy drag racing, so I drag race.

I like and enjoy riding horses, so I ride horses.

I like and enjoy riding four wheeler's, so I ride the hell out of'um.

I could go on and on about things I enjoy and no one is going to stop me....

I don't think anyone is REALLY out to get us. This isn't a conspiracy theory or anything.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion; however after reading a few of these opinions, I have to wonder if ANTZ are sneaking onto this forum and posting.

Vaping is not smoking and the restrictions that are imposed on smoking are not appropriate for vaping.

If someone is convicted of a crime and sent to jail, should someone who looks like the offender also be sent to jail since they look like the convicted? Vaping and smoking may both produce similar looking effects; however that is where the similarities end.

There will always be{MODERATED} with nothing better to do out there, not much you can do about it.

Nope, both are similarly annoying when you experience them against your will. Smoke gets carried by the wind to you, it smells like ..... Vapor gets carried by the wind to you, it doesn't smell nearly as good as it tastes. Which seems so strange to most people.

If I didn't have a mech with an RDA and a sub ohm build on it I would still be a smoker. In fact I was a dual user until I upgraded. I couldn't get the relief from anything else. Does these mean I am part of the "cloud chasing problem?" I don't think so. I think its the uninformed that speak for everyone about things they don't fully understand or don't understand at all. Maybe your "ultra light" setup helped you quit, but it didn't for me...

It's a lack of differentiating mental reference point... even if you're using a big shiny light saber their brains process it as smoking. They don't have the knowledge to distinguish...

I suspect more often than not... seeing the cloud of vapor triggers some deep seeded nightmare memory of family holiday gatherings and their creepy Uncle George who chain-smoked unfiltered cigarettes, made them sit on his lap and his breath smelled of cheap whiskey, cigarette smoke and the way the hog barn smelled at the county fair...

.... "Vaping is not smoking and the restrictions that are imposed on smoking are not appropriate for vaping."

While this statement may be true it's rather naive to think that it will be any other way. IMO

You may be right; however I hope that we do not accept defeat as inevitable and not fight.

I wish I could walk down the street with a fake dong hanging out of my pants and tell people "It's not a real penis, calm down" before the cops show up.

Please, it may look like a .... but it's just med grade silicone, so that's where the similarities end....right?

And you sir, are more annoying than both combined. Maybe you should go work for the FDA

I highly doubt that the smoking and vaping produces equal annoyance to bystanders. Most e-juice is relatively odor free, not the case with cigarette smoke. Many people are allergic to cigarette smoke; I doubt there are many who are allergic to second hand vapor. Cigarette smoke clings to your clothes after your leave the room, I doubt vapor does this.

I would wager if you did an experiment where people were blindfolded; about zero would be able to tell if someone was vaping in the room. The vast majority would be able to tell if someone were smoking in the room.

I'm with you! I couldn't completely quit the analogues until I started using a mech and a RTA. Technically I sub ohm .7-.9 but I don't consider myself a "cloud chaser" and I sure don't do it in indoor places. I respectfully vape and I've never been approached by anyone.

Yeah yeah yeah, and all that. Make excuses for them if you like, I'm not inclined to do so at all. They KNOW you are vaping and not smoking and they regard you as just as juicy a target for their hatred as a smoker. I've had enough of them come at me with their nastiness and go far out of their way to do it that I've no patience or tolerance left for them. They are just plain power-tripping jerks who need someone to bash.

You are quite correct in your statement... Wouldn't it be wonderful if it were that simple.

But the primary challenge through regulatory and restrictive usage bans facing vapers and quite possibly our ability to continue to vape as we can today does directly involve public perception. Education is key... but realize majority of the population doesn't care about our rights or the difference between smoking and vaping. All they care about is they don't want it around them based on what it looks like.
