my own flavor got bland on me

After vaping my grape for about 2 weeks it tasted like crap, I was really disappointed. So I got into using one of the tester liquids for the past three days, the "spicy ice" it's a cinnamon menthol. It's really good. Anyway my point was, that today I messed up my tester bottle with an unmarked bottle and low and behold it was my grape, which tasted awesome again. I always understood that a flavor can lose taste after awhile but I didn't realize how much my continuous vaping of a single flavor will make that flavor die out not in the fluid but in my taste buds.
