Dear Mr. Government,

Let's stop pretending that the motivation behind the FDA and other anti-ecig groups is human health. As long as you got the right amount of money, you can get the government to do anything. It has been proven time and time again.

Most congressmen would sell the constitution to the reincarnation of Adolf Hitler if the price was right. If you are so concerned about us then BAN CIGARETTES FIRST. They have already been proven to kill and destroy families. That would show that you're being genuine about your "concern."

With that said, the only real threat to "big tobacco" is electronic cigarettes. I say this because these are the only things that I have witnessed first hand to get people to stop smoking effectively, and it works consistently.

I too have stopped smoking tobacco after many years of paying tobacco companies to kill me. There are over 4,000 chemicals in cigarettes and cigars. 60 of those cause cancer. 60! If I had to quit smoking by eating lawn chairs, the government, if they were being innocently concerned, would allow me to do it. Heck, they'd promote it!

There is no way that you can get us to believe that you care about us so much that you can overlook the thousands of deaths per day due to tobacco use while allowing Newport to be in constant business. There is no way that you can get us to believe that big tobacco isn't hurting right now with the quit smoking commercials, and will be hurting even more as people find out about e-cigs.

Everywhere I go with my e-cig people ask me about it. They want to know what it's like. Well I'll tell you. It's like tasting my food all over again. It's like not coughing. It's like smelling better, working towards a goal and feeling accomplished.

I have reduced my intake from 24mg to 14 mg in just two months of "vaping" e-cigs. I will be completely nicotine free someday soon. Is that what you're afraid of? Non-dependence? Self reliance?

Show your cards gentleman.

Well it's not as good as yours but here is mine,

I was a smoker for 12 years and It was usually 1 - 1.5 packs a day. I have tried everything under the sun to quit smoking. I even quit once for about a year or so but that didn't last. When I did quit, I was very agitated, on edge and felt depressed. I eventually got tired of cigarettes and switched to black and milds and smoked those for a couple of years. When I bought my first e-cigarette, I only continued to smoke for about the first week but very occasionally and only when my battery was charging. However, I have been "Vaping" for exactly a month today and I haven't had a regular cigarette or "Analog" - as it is called in the vaping community- in weeks. After only a couple of weeks of no tobacco I : feel so much better, am sleeping better, have a general better attitude, don't stink and neither do my clothes or my car. Plus, have saved so much money and have more money to buy the things I need or want.

There should NOT be any time limit on the use of NRT's; you don't limit the amount of cigarettes that someone can smoke or how much coffee someone can drink. If anything, you should raise the amount of nicotine that is allowed to be inside the juices; people should be able to make that choice NOT have it make for them - that would just make the e-cigarette less effective. They also have so many different tasty flavors to choose from; my favorites so far are "washington apple" and "rich and smooth".

PLEASE, DO NOT THE PROPOSE THE "DEEMING" REGULATION BECAUSE IT WOULD BAN THE ONE THING THAT HAS HELPED ME TO QUIT USING TOBACCO!!

Please remove ANY and ALL inaccurate or misleading information on these wonderful new alternatives to smoking cigarettes that are full of 4,000+ chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, cancer for non-smokers, many OTHER adverse health effects and DEATH. People need to know that e-cigarettes ARE a safe alternative, it will save you money and it doesn't cost a lot to get started - UNLIKE nicotine patches, gum and other methods.
