That's right, I am going to try to create a list of 5 "go to" vendors for my basic vaping needs that I personally use or have used. Why even attempt this? There are many reasons, and most of those reasons are also part of the criteria I am going to use. One big reason is I am tired of searching my list of 72+ vendors tring to find something.

CRITERIA (Partial List)

1. Customer Service - A Rant, but some good advice

This alone will allow me to over look many other criteria. Sometimes businesses lose perspective and the importance of this very simple concept. "The Customer is Always Right", we have all heard it, it was taken from a Frechman who said "The Customer is Never Wrong" you can take it either way but it should be a staple belief in any business, especially now a days.

Just one individual with a little time and effort can create a firestorm of headaches, lost customers, lost profits for any company. YouTube, Twitter, Facebook, The BBB, Forums like this one, the whole Internet for that matter are an outlet to spread a disgruntled customers story.

Some businesses or owners brush aside these unhappy customers, thinking its just one angry customer, what can they do? This is a grave error. You see, there is no real way to measure the potential business lost due to this unhappy customer. How many people saw this persons Tweet or Facebook Posts or YouTube video? Of those who saw, how many people did they tell? How many potential customers did you lose do to one persons unhappy experience? 1? 10? 100?

Just as an example lets be conservative and say 5. If you lost 5 customers that spent $200 a month, your losing $1000 a month, $12000 a year. Is it really worth a potential $12000 a year, or a lot more, to alienate a customer for let's say a $10 tank? I have seen it done. Rant Over.

2. Items In Stock - Within this criteria, there are three parts. Size of Inventory, Availabilty of Inventory, Current/Newest products. Lord knows us vapors are a "Latest and Greatest" kind of crowd.

3. Price - Duh

4. Shipping - My experience has been Priority Shipping in two days, pretty much my standard.

Bottom line, as I said before, I would overlook most of these, pay top prices, just for some good ole customer service.

VENDOR TYPES -

All Around Vendors (ones that might encompass all below)

eliquid Vendor

Hardware Vendor General

Hardware MODS

DYI (eliquid) Vendor

Other Vendor - Special Items - Not limited to Ecigs, but we vapers use. (Batteries, Chargers Ect)

In closing this WAY too long post (sorry had to get that customer service info off my chest). There are so many vendors, many many good ones to. I am going to list the ones I found to match my needs and expectations, I would love to see yours. The more we share, the better off we are.

With Respect to my ECF Family,

When it comes to mods and DIY. A lot of that is specific to a product. There's only one place to go for a Buzz Pro or a Reo or a Provari. The same goes for most of the DIY supplies. I'll tell you what I know.

Madvapes - Pretty much the Wal-Mart of the vaping world. A wide variety of things at good prices. One of the few vendors that has a decent stock of modding parts. They also have some things you won't find anywhere else. However, not where you'd go for the best.

Liberty Flights - Another good all around site. A little better quality than some of Madvapes stuff but, not really the best either. Call it the Target of the vaping world.

Hoosier Ecig Supply goes somewhere in here but, I haven't done enough business there for a decent evaluation.

GotVapes - For bells and whistles mega/fluxo/ce/clearo type stuff. I don't use much of that. So, not a lot of experience with them. If you want the bleeding edge, this is it.

Cignot - Probably the best customer service out there.

Avid Vapor or Ikenvape - Specialty atomizers and cartomizers. These are the best.

Super-T or RTD Vapor - For AW batteries

DealExtreme - For really cheap batteries. It takes at least 3 weeks to get to you though.

I don't use 808s but, Vapor4Life deserves a mention in that category.

I got into DIY fairly quickly. I'll give One Stop DIY Shop a mention for a decent supply of measuring devices etc.

I don't have really good recommendations for juice vendors.

Probably not really what you were after but, that's my shot at it. If anyone disagrees with this list, these are just my opinions and they're no better than yours. So, I won't argue. :)

Everyones circumstances are a little different, so you are bound to get a lot of different opinions.

I get 99% of my stuff from one vendor. Why? Simply because it only takes me 5 minutes to drive over there, and because of that we have become friends.

I buy most of my gear and juice locally also, the woman I deal with has gone through what I'm doing. She is happy to give me advice and let me try things out before I buy them. I could save money by ordering online but I get a level of service from her that I can't get from an online store. Dealing with people face to face has become underrated in today's society.

What I would give to have that option... I am jealous!

Interesting..... The OP makes a thread and decides not to include his own list!!!!! There are other ways to ask for vendor info from members.....

I appologize, I thought the Title "My Quest - To Identify My Top Five Vendors" means I am currently "questing". If I needed or want to ask for vendor info, it would of been a much shorter post in the Veteran Thread. Sorry for the confusion.

The vendors I have used the most and would recomend are.....

Alien Visions
Nite Lite Vapor
Crystal Clear Vaping
Mad Vapes

To be fair with the exception of one vendor I would not hesitate to use any of the others I have used.

Great point. This is not about putting any one vendor above others, no one can use every single vendor. It's about of the ones you have used, who keeps you coming back based on your experience. Thanks for contributing to the post, all who have.

I also think customer service is very important. It appalls me to read sometimes some of the vendors replies back to customers that have a problem order or a complaint. I would hate to have a legitimate complaint with that company in the future someday, and be treated in a poor manner. So I do keep in mind replies that vendors make to their customers, even the ones that are outright angry or the problem is a user issue, not a product/company issue. The replies should be professional, courteous, respectful and helpful. At least, that is what I learned in my years of customer service training. I would have never gotten away with anything less.

Hmm top 5, gonna be tough, but right now I would say my top 5 is:

Madvapes: for so many things, hardware, mods, juice, accessories, etc....

Vapor4life: Great company AND community - have some fav juices, also like their 808 batts & tanks and cool cartos

Smokeless Image: Good batts and GREAT 808 cartos, also a very friendly and fun forum

Quick Nic: Also great customer service & community, and some kick-.... juices

Juicy Vapor: I have a few favorites and I'm sure I will have more in the future of thier juices, Anthony is a cool guy, and they have HUNDREDS of flavors, more than I can ever hope to try...

my favorite e-liquid vendor by far...

Mount Baker Vapor
https://www.mtbakervapor.com

I can tell you why very quick, $7 = 30mL where do you go wrong?

The liquid is great quality, ECF coupon gives 10% off or so, and $100 + orders is free shipping (im not sure how to order that much liquid), but the 10% over $31 = free shipping (something around that). You can get multiple compositions of pg/vg and nic levels

Customer service = amazing, James he is a great guy there and listens to all requests.

Happy Vaping all,
-Seth

Now I know why I hate you...just kidding...I'm jealous as can be. Wish I had a vendor that close.
