So I had rob make me a reomizer for my 14500 mini, and it showed up today. I've never set an rba up before or wrap a coil for one, so I didn't have high hopes for my first ever coil.

However, I think it came out great, it doesn't even look bad either! Haha! (yeah I'm so proud of myself right now!) I wrapped silica (shh! I know, but it's all I have right now, and it still tastes good!) with 32 gauge kanthal. Was trying for LR, and LR is what I got! Comes in at 1.7 under load. Not bad, right up my alley.

Not too long ago I found that I love vaping with a Reo much better than anything else, and sold every other mod I had. I've been using super shorty cartos but... A Reo + reomizer 2.0 + gorilla juice = OMG VAPEGASM! Never had a vape taste so good.. I get it now guys, I understand now. I really do.

Here's some pics of my first ever coil, what do you guys think?

BEAUTIFUL coil!!! And isn't it an awesome vape??? I've been vaping a long time and a REO with an RBA is the BEST vape in the world. So glad you're on board with it and love it. I had him carve a RM2 down for me, too, so it would fit on my Mini. Perfect little vaping machine. Good job on the coil. If you want to try some cotton wicks or bamboo or hemp or anything, PM me and I'll send you some samples. I've found that wrapping coils is addictive.... :)

Thanks Jan! Gotta admit it, it is by far the best vape I have ever had! The RBA tastes and looks great on the mini. I have the VV Reo grand too, I preferred the size of the mini by a long shot for work and out and about, love dialing in my taste on the vv though. Now I feel like I don't even need the dang variable voltage anymore, with the LR coil in the reomizer it tastes BETTER than the cartos on the vv even after dialing the voltage in.

The vv Reo will definitely have its place still though. I think I'll get a reomizer for it too! Lol (I've gone Reo bananas!)

A pm is definitely coming your way, I'd love to try some different wicking materials other than silica. I appreciate the offer for sure!

The Reo gang is just such a great group! Out of all of the subgroups I've gone too on these forums, this is the only place that feels like an extended family. A true home, I love it!

Thanks nerak! I didn't think it was too bad at all for my first coil, I imagine I can only get better from here on out. I've seen some pretty nice wraps out of you guys here. I'll get there someday lol.

And absolutely, just a Devine vape.

Very nice build Manny :) good work bro.

Actually, thank you lol. The whole time I was building the coil I was looking at the pics in your thread for building coils ;) the blunt tip trick worked great for helping to keep the coils tight. I kinda owe my first successful build to you.

Thanks everyone lol, I've got a pretty big head now from all the praise LOL. On a serious note, thanks for validating that my build was good, figured you all would know better than me, so I'm glad to know I'm doing it right.

Quick question for you guys, without using orings, my side hole is directly in front of the coil like it should be, and the hole even points up like it's supposed to when tightened down. However, the hole is not EXACTLY pointing straight up. Is it Ok if it's just slightly over, or should I still use an oring to get it totally straight up?

The hole is literally like only 2-3 mm off center pointing up when I vape.

Yep, that'll be fine Manny. As close to straight up as possible is really all that's required. The only reason you want it point it up is so the juice doesn't block it.

On another note: I look at my airhole and tilt the REO SLIGHTLY towards the airhole, press the bottle till I see a little juice thru there. Then I know I'm good for a few hits till the next squonk. :)

Ok cool, all of my stuff definitely lines up right then, no oring required :D

That's a neat way to make sure you are getting the coil nice and wet, hadn't thought of that. Thanks for the tips!
