I have had my SD MK2 for a few months now and in the last few days it has decided to peter out on me. Some times when I push the button it works fine and other times I get nothing..mostly nothing. I tried cleaning the body, making sure the button on the bottom was tight and pulled the spring down a bit but still noda. Anyone have any suggestions on where I can find some help with this thing?

Hi Sarlen

So sorry to hear that you are having problems with your SD,

Here are common SD problems;
1- its dirty. Dirt reduces current flow
2- outside finish in switch rod hole ( cleaning again fixes the problem )
3- Batt shorting out ( if plastic case on batt is torn and metal from batt contacts side of inner wall the device shorts )
4- switch comes apart ( use a screw driver to tighten switch and not an issue)
5- top spring not making good connection ( gently stretch spring and prob solved )

Also, may be a silly question, but are you using the correct batteries?

Thanks
Louise
