That morning cup of coffee is the hardest, for the first several weeks I wanted that smoke with my coffee in the morning. Just say NO. LOL. I did quit the first time I started using my ego kit but that morning cup made it harder.

Hang in there, the cravings with get less and less.

Come here and read some stories of people who have quit and their stories.

Good luck to both of you. You can do it.

Edit: BTW I smoked for over 50 years. None of my family ever thought it would happen. They are so happy now.

Congratulations to you both and welcome to ECF. Sounds like you are both really doing wonderful. Not everyone quits right away as you are seeing. For some people the last few cigarettes are the hardest. You have successfully completed 99% of your journey. Good for you!

Couple of ideas. Get a separate evod to T3 or another clearo that is easy to attach to your battery and put a different flavor of a higher mg nicotine in it to be used just when you feel you want that cigarette. Keep it with you. Next time you go for a cigarette, put that higher nic clearo on your battery and vape away. If after 10 minutes you still want the cigarette, then go ahead and have it. You are already at the point that you are not enjoying it as much.

It will happen. You are worrying about it too much. Just relax and let it happen. It will. Maybe not today or tomorrow, but it will. I have read so many people's stories where they have just forgotten to have their supposedly scheduled cigarette and don't even realize it for a couple of days.

Enjoy the success you and your wife have attained already. Look at the money you are saving.

you all are awesome ppl! thank you.

anyone know why i see no 36mg locally? is it only on the net or through self made juice that you can get it? or can you get it in other places? are the laws different from place to place or something? i have heard a few "rumors" but really do not know the truth.

Hi and congratulations on how far you've come!

I don't think my local shop sells 36mg either, or if they have it, they don't carry very much. I think it's a supply and demand situation. I know some people vape 36mg, but my friends vape 24mg max - most of them less.

In addition to chemical addiction, there are triggers we react to. You might look at what your triggers are and switch them around. Such as if your worst cravings are in the morning when you have your coffee, drink your coffee in a different room than you usually do or sit in a different place, anything that will disconnect you from the trigger, if that makes sense.

There's truth in that post. Everyone's different. Some folks start vaping and never touch a cigarette again, some vape for a year or two while still having an occasional cigarette before quitting completely.

Don't sweat it and just let it happen.

I started out with 18mg nicotine. I found that the mornings were the hardest for me so I got some coffee flavored juice at 24mg to hit in the mornings. It really helped. My local vape shop mixes the nicotine in when you buy it so they can mix whatever level you want. Your local laws may be different so getting above 24mg might require you to order it online.

Either way don't beat yourself up over 1 cig a day. That is way better than 30 a day. You will give up that one when you are ready.

I smoked and vaped for about two months. I would smoke at home (outside) and vape going out and all day at work. Finally I got to the point that I was interested in the vaping more than the cigs and decided to only buy one or the other....not bought a pack for a little over a year :) It's ok to do both....I think folks find that they stop smoking as much without even realizing it. :)

again, thanks so much for all your replies and suggestions. i think one of those suggestions that some have agreed on will help me a lot. i have my one in my truck on the way to work and have kept them away from Melissa (my wife) and also Cam (my granddaughter whom we are raising). so being in another room and what not though i good idea for some would not be good for me. i think the higher nic liquid will work. hook that up to which ever battery i am using at the time in the morning on the way to work. been experimenting w/my own liquid for a few weeks myself. have a few flavors i have been getting down that i like. i will make one of them in a 30 or so...maybe i should hit 36? been doing 24 from the store and mixing the new at 20. perhaps going 20 was to soon? but i am also working on lowering Melissa's levels as well. again thanks and feel free to give more advice from here as i listen to it and consider everything you more experienced ppl have to say. this vaping has changed me in a lot of ways and this community has made me feel all warm and fuzzy. lmao.

Keep at it buddy!

I had my last stinky 12 days ago. Had it while I was bringing the trash cans back from the curb in the morning. By the time I got back up the driveway, I had taken about 4 good drags off of it. I remember thinking, "Man... compared to vaping, this really isn't satisfying to me any more.". And that was it. I haven't had the urge to light up again. It'll just happen when it is supposed to. It sounds like you are just a day or two away. I've had 5 cigarettes since I bought my vape gear on 10/31.

Welcome to ECF. I can relate to you, for two years ago, I was in the same boat. It took me months to get rid of those last 3 smokes (my morning smoke, My after dinner smoke, and my bed time smoke) Though the support of many people on here, I was able to finally quit all together with the use of my ecig for quite a while. I had a replace a while back for a little bit after a stressful month and some time spent in bars, but I am again on the vape only train once again. I can tell you that for me, those last few cigs were the hardest thing to get rid of, but it was more mental than anything else. I kept positive, telling myself that If cut out over 25 (I was a pack and a half a day smoker) cigs, I can cut out the last three, and I did. Its all about being positive. Take it slow if you have too, trade out a few puffs of your ecig instead of a real cig as many times as you can muster. Even one less smoke per day is a victory, and one step closer to quitting altogether.
